"First started working with Joe getting a quote got 2 bids which the other was cheaper, but decided to get ranger since Mitsubishi is the “top line” he said which I googled and saw it too. We talked that he will put the drainage on the car port and the vent on the side of the house. So when the date of installment came Daniel was on time and he introduce himself. I let him do his job while I was doing my own with my 3yrs and 5 yrs kids. The job was quick so when I check outside I saw that the vent was mounted on my carport. So I called Joe and ask why it was mounted on my carport he said it was in the contract which I didn’t see on the instruction. And so I have to pay if we move it. I was so disappointed! Now I can’t close my carport if I want to get a garage since vent is there. So I have no choice if only Daniel check with me first right from the start what the plan is then there will be no problem! Well the job was done got no choice. Another thing Daniel have to come back two times to fix the drainage since it keeps on leaking my carport. It was finally fixed on the 3rd time when Jared was the tech that fix it. It was so disappointing and I regret that I chose ranger cooking and heating!"
"I'd been wanting to get of our old electric baseboard heaters for a long time, and replace it with something more efficient, and Mark helped my understand the differences between a ductless mini-split system and a ducted heatpump system. Even in our small house, the ducted system was the way to go. Mark and his installers were professional and efficient, and answered all my questions. When the thermostat was acting a little odd, he sent a technician over to calibrate it, free of charge. There was a small issue where I initially got the wrong specs for the electrical, and as a result I had the electrician install unnecessary circuits, but Marc reimbursed me for the cost."
"Evergreen installed a new hybrid heat pump system in my house. After researching the options, Evergreen was not only the most reasonable price, but they also scoped out a hybrid system where they would install new duct work and a single air exchanger in the attic and a minisplit in the basement. Scott, the sales person, did not try to upsell me on number of zones (others tried to get me to get 2 units in the basement) and after 2 months with the system, the single unit in the basement is heating the whole basement to our needs. All this was done at a price still considerably lower than the "standard" system price being offered by one of the bigger, similarly named companies. Evergreen was also the only company to propose a hybrid system where they would install a single exchanger in the attic and run new ceiling ducts to the rooms. This was appealing because we don't need to have the cassettes in each room and we didn't need to line the outside of the house with conduit for the cassettes (also the bathroom gets heat, too). Scott was great to work with, answered all my questions, and did his best to size the system correctly. Installation was smooth. There was a small hiccup where the installer accidentally broke a basement window, but Evergreen squared it away. Don and his team were great and the inspections passed. After install support has been great. Denise has been responsive to my questions. Overall, the experience was great with Evergreen and I highly recommend them."

"My wife and I had just bought a house (our first) and didn't realize how pervasive the stink of our crawl space would be until we had started into several other renovation projects. Our old insulation stunk of rat urine and the moisture barrier was littered with feces. As we got near the date to move in, we realized we had to do something about it. Daniel was very responsive in his bid as well as scheduling the work. We set the whole thing up in about a week. He brought in a crew of five guys and got the work done in one afternoon. Daniel's crew did everything he had outlined in his bid. When I went into the crawl space afterward to inspect, the smell was completely gone. The new moisture barrier was generously installed and held in place with soil anchors. Every noticeable point of rodent entry had been stopped up with cement, and the vents had been reinforced where necessary. They also installed a solid door at the crawlspace entry. Of the utility penetration that I checked, all were sealed with foam. My one complaint is that when they installed the rolls of insulation, they did not cut the rolls when they encountered cross-bracing. Instead, they compressed the insulation over the bracing and kept on going. I don't know if this is standard practice or if they were feeling rushed, but it was a detail I had not thought to specify in the contract. Generally I had a favorable impression of them and felt like most of their work was of good quality. "

An expansion tank is needed when the boiler heats the water and it expands, allowing air to condense in the tank to make room for the water.
