"We feel fortunate to have found Pacific Heating and Cooling, they've been servicing our furnace for years. We always ask for Nathan, he knows our system, he likes our dogs and he is always up front about what if anything we need to keep an eye on and what the cost will be when it does come time to take care of it. We have had other technicians come out, they were fine also but Nathan we just really like. We always feel we can trust the work that has been done."
"Service was excellent/price competitive. Furnace went out during week of snow storm. Bob & Allen made it to my house and were able to install my furnace. Even though it was very cold and miserable (with them getting stuck in the snow and having to dig out just to make it in and out of my driveway) they remained professional and upbeat. You will see by the attached photos the huge effort these two men had taken to provide heat to a customer who had none. Thank you for going above and beyond. Will continue to be an annual service customer."
"Ranger Heating did a wonderful job with everything for the installation of our heat pump. All the staff are great, from Jeremy our consultant to the installers (Dustin and Robbie), there were all so friendly and professional in everything that they did. I highly recommend them for any of your heating and cooling needs."
"Arrived on time and worked diligently. The heat pump was installed and is running correctly. Cody was informative, efficient and I would highly recommend Cummings."
"When Airpros installed our central air a few years ago, I got a quote for a tankless water heater. We waffled on it for a long while, but our old one was getting kind of flaky. When I got back in touch, Mark honored the existing quote despite a slight price increase in the water heater. They came on the day stated, installed the new water heater, and removed the old. They left no mess and were done when they said they'd be. This is exactly how all home improvement jobs ought to go!"
"I had three estimates at our house for our conversion from a gas forced-air furnace to a heat pump/gas furnace installation. I was most impressed by Evergreen's rep. Scott, as he was very helpful in explaining the technology and was the only one of the three to do a J load calculation on our home. I also felt after the estimates were all given that Evergreen's was the best buy in terms of the product features vs. overall cost. As I researched our installation I realized that my mother's all-electric home would be better served by a heat pump as well. Again, Scott did the best job of all three estimators there as well.
After the down payment of 50% of the cost the installation was set up within two weeks for both locations. The work was done on time and efficiently. My mother's job was done in a few hours, mine took a couple of days. I'm happy to say that both units are performing perfectly, through both the colder weather of March and the warmer than usual days we've had in April.
There were a couple of things that should be mentioned, not major issues but worth noting.
The installation of our heat/pump and furnace did not meet City Code on the initial inspection as the condensation pump was placed on the floor. City code required it to be 18 inches off the floor due to a potential for an explosion should there be a gas leak. The correction was done within a few days, but I did have to schedule a city inspector on two different days. The city inspector remarked that the installer 'should have known better'.
On my mom's split heat pump the indoor blower unit began making a loud clanking noise one month into use. Evergreen was quick to come out, mom called on Sunday morning and was able to have a crew come out the next day. Apparently the installers had missed a mounting clip on the external cover of the indoor unit and over time the casing sagged enough that the rotating fans began to hit the inside of the case.
Several weeks after our work was done I was called by the financial office asking me to pay the remaining 50% balance. I pointed out that it had been paid on the day the work was done, but apparently the payment was not correctly registered as having been paid by their accounting office. Fortunately I was able to point to my credit card statement indicating that the balance had been paid in full.
Overall Evergreen did a professional job from start to finish and I have no hesitation in recommending them. Given their expertise and experience I have no doubt that my equipment will continue to be well serviced going forward. "
"Jane's replaced my 20-year old Munchkin boiler with a super efficient, modern Rinnai. Everyone was a joy to deal with. Service was excellent. Darian, who scheduled and arranged the replacement, and Greg and Oscar (who did the work) were fantastic. Excellent service, especially since I live on Lopez Island, which is not easy to get to. Competent, good-natured, hard-working, nice folks."
"Tim was super efficient and knowledgeable with plumbing houses! Job was done perfect and cleaned up after job was complete! I would recommend to anyone needing kitchen sink installed. Thank you Tim Tony S"

"Blue Flame's team did a great job from the initial consultative assessment, bid and installation. Bid was competitive and fair. The entire team was service oriented and responsive. Installation was quick - two crews sent to enable one day install, complete and left clean and orderly. A+"
Safety concerns with propane boilers include proper venting to prevent carbon monoxide buildup, secure gas line connections, and regular inspection of safety controls. Professional boiler installation and annual maintenance are essential to minimize risks. Having a carbon monoxide detector installed in your home is essential for early detection of any leaks or ventilation issues.
If you're often struggling with radiator issues like chilly spots, leaks, or annoying noises, those are common indications that your radiator may need to be replaced. Corrosion, uneven heating, and persistent hissing sounds are common issues as well. When repairs become a regular chore and your home’s energy bills start to rise, a new radiator will bring the comfort and savings you need.
It takes about five to 10 minutes for heat to reach a radiator, then about one hour until the radiator fully heats up a room. The exact duration depends on the size of the room and how far away the radiator is from the boiler heating system. Heating up an entire house could take up to two hours.
The most important sign of a boiler problem is something happening unexpectedly, which is why regular boiler maintenance is important. Unexpected problems can include strange smells, new leaks, and unexpected noises that your boiler wasn’t making before. Additionally, if a boiler keeps shutting off or can’t maintain a specific temperature range, it’s time to call in an expert.
Yes, you can build a sunroom addition to your home despite living in a cold climate. Make sure to use high-quality insulation and windows and to supplement with sufficient heating from your HVAC system. The windows in the sunroom allow enough natural light into the room to help heat it most times without having to use the furnace. Even a small electric fireplace can heat the sunroom well enough.
