"Excellent job by Joe. We had numerous stains that he got out of the carpets. He saved me $5000 that I would have spent to replace the carpet. I highly recommend Joe and we will be asking him to clean the carpets in another home in a few weeks."

"Lenny really knows this carpet stuff. He is knowledgable and very helpful. We were confused what to pick, and he gave us really good suggestions, which we ended up with Dixie Home carpets and LOVE it! From all the different quotes we got, TCB was the best offer overall. He communicates everything so well. Last, he was able to deliver within the timeframe he had said. So glad we found TCB!"

"Jeramie is a very hard worker who cares a lot about doing a top notch jobâ  he is very attentive to detail. He was reliable, good-natured, punctual, communicated clearly about the work he was doing, and described in detail any unexpected problems he encountered in making the repairs. Best of all, Jeramie is very versatileâ  it seems he has the skills to accomplish almost any job, from regrouting and tile installation, to carpet installation, to electrical wiring and repair/installation of light fixtures, to plumbing, to dry wall replacement and painting. He is a real find and I recommend him highly."

Customers say: Quick response

"Tobias and Don restretched my fairly new carpet. Three years previous install by Empire, carpet rolled in every room. It was a $10,000. Flooring job but Empire would not stand behind install. They said no install warranty after 1 yr. Tobias and Don came and gave me a bid the job. They stayed in communication with us. They were on time and friendly. Job looks good. I would hire them again."

Carpet Installation questions, answered by experts

While it's possible to cover asbestos tile with carpet, it's not recommended. Encapsulating tile beneath carpet doesn't eliminate the health risks. Over time, the asbestos tiles could degrade, releasing fibers into the air and potentially contaminating the carpet. Disturbance during carpet installation or removal might also release fibers.

Installing carpet on stairs involves a lot more cutting, tucking, tack strips, and time. The shape of your staircase, along with the material and construction of the carpet you’re installing, will also increase the cost. Carpet installation on stairs will cost $400 to $800 in total, but it can go as high as $2,500 for difficult staircases, such as wrap-around, upholstered, or spiral staircases.

Carpet density refers to how closely together the fibers of a carpet are stitched into the carpet backing, with values ranging from 1,000 to 7,000. A carpet density value of 3,000 or higher is considered best for most homes, especially in high-traffic areas, such as a living room or dining room. If you’re comparing two carpets made of the same material, a higher carpet density can indicate better durability and longevity. However, carpet density is only one of many factors that can help you determine a carpet’s quality.

In most cases, carpeting isn’t kind to the wood that it’s attached to. Most carpet installation uses adhesive or nailing strips, both of which will damage wood. Conversely, you can choose to use an adhesive designed to be removed from wood, in which case carpeting can actually protect your hardwood stairs.

Several types of flooring can be installed over existing tile, provided the current tiles are in good condition. Options include vinyl, vinyl plank, laminate, engineered wood, hardwood, carpet, and cork. Among these, various types of vinyl and engineered wood are the most common choices due to their versatility. Alternatively, you can install new tiles on top of your current ones if you like tile floors but want to update the look. Before proceeding with any new flooring, it's crucial to ensure your existing tiles are not damaged; otherwise, they will need to be removed first.
