"When I was getting bids for our paver project, one of the three bids I got was from Rios Brick Pavers. I asked Mauricio, the owner, why I should hire him. Without hesitation, he responded, “Because of the quality of our work.” He went on to say that his crew is great at what they do, and they have been with him for many years. He told me that there may be some competitors who will offer a lower price, but none will match his quality workmanship. Mauricio and his crew went on to deliver on his promise. We had walkways, a large gravel area, and a brick patio integrated into a beautiful and welcoming space that greatly enhances the usability and the look of our home. We could not be happier with the quality of the work and the finished look of the paver project. Mauricio was excellent on communicating status throughout the project. As there are with any project, there were a couple of unexpected challenges that he let me know about right away. The solutions he developed provided additional proof of the experience of his crew. The crew are artists - creating curves around tree trunks and some planting beds, which require that each stone on the curve be cut, but the results are gorgeous. The walls to terrace the yard had to deal with a slope, so a "swoop" was constructed that draws your eye and keeps the wall at appropriate height. Steep front yard grass removed and garden soil installed in newly terraced areas. Really like the choice of pavers - including a dark gray border and dark capstones on walls. Work done ahead of schedule, all old concrete, timbers and bricks removed, no surprises, very nice people."

"The work they did is top notch, I love our patio and couldn't be happier with what they've done with the space. They did a lot of work for us over two months to build a patio and beautiful back yard. We love it. That said, our home is a 70+ year old house in Magnolia with concrete pipes. A year or so after they did the work we had a backup. After the plumbers came out they found that a section of the piping had been crushed by a large rock that had been set while they were regrading the area. The repairs were ~15k all said and done then. I contacted Ryan and he looked into their insurance covering it and they weren't going to do it out of pocket. I value my time more than money and I let it go, and Ryan had some guys come out and fix the area that had to be torn up for free, least they can do. Well after they were done the plumbers spotted another crushed section that lined up and should be 'okay'. Fast forward a year, it wasn't we had another backup. They cleared it and we just had it fixed with another 5k bill. Ryan had said they wouldn't do it for free but 'hours and material'. They didn't give me a quote I shrugged and assumed it would be a mornings worth of work. They came out and spent two days, and they just handed me a bill for another $3200, to clean up after damage they caused and I'm paying for."

"Johnson & Sons remodeled our 1990's kitchen and replaced all of the flooring on the first floor and staircase of our home during the months of May - August of 2022. We met with multiple local companies to bid the work and Vic's bid came in under or comparable to the other estimates we received. We chose their company based on referral, price, and comfort level with Vic. Vic is fantastic to work with. He is knowledgeable, responsive, and creates a culture of partnership on his team's projects. This was our first time tackling a renovation project of this scope and using a general contractor. Vic and his team made the experience comfortable and as enjoyable as it could be considering we had no kitchen! :) There was a long wait time to get the project started due to Covid-caused supply issues on Johnson and Sons other jobs (we originally met with Vic in June of 2021 and the work did not start until May of 2022). It was hard to be patient, but it actually worked in our favor. Being able to choose and purchase materials in advance meant no supply issues or back orders once our project got started. Every sub that Vic and Jon used on our job or vendor he referred us to was professional, kind, and did a great job. If we ever had a question about quality or how the job was progressing (and we had a lot -- remember we'd never done this before!) Vic was patient, flexible, and worked with us until we were satisfied. As our job progressed, issues within our home were uncovered that were not in the scope of work included in our kitchen remodel. A water leak was found in an adjacent wall when kitchen drywall was removed, and holes in our roof were discovered when the electrician was in the attic running conduit. Even though these setbacks were not part of our kitchen remodel, Vic's guys jumped in and found solutions or recommended sub contractors to solve problems. There were multiple times that we had questions and within minutes either Vic or Jon were on site to address a concern or answer a question-- even after our job was complete. We could not be more excited about our new kitchen or pleased with our choice of contractor. We are already planning to hire Johnson and Sons again to renovate our primary bathroom!"
