Kitchen remodels are stressful, and this was no exception, but Intown did a good job overall. The experience of getting a quote and scheduling was no-nonsense and they didn't pressure me to include anything I didn't need. Templating was scheduled very quickly after putting down a 60% deposit––literally just a few days, with install a few days after that. There were a few inconsistencies after install (for example, the brackets that they said would need to be installed at my bar area were not there, though it wasn't clear that they were necessary). And the included tear out and demo did damage the drywall behind my stove, but this is apparently not uncommon when tearing out mastic-laid tile. The installers also didn't speak full English (which is fine, but may have caused some miscommunication). But the new quartz looks great and I'm happy with my updated kitchen. Overall, I'd give Intown four stars. Some room for improvement on install, but a fair price and ultimately I'm happy.

It was a horrible experience, they need to came out at least three times to replace the granite that they measured incorrectly, they broke our sink when they were installing the granite. They said they will reconnect the plumbing but they did not. They did a terrible finishing work with a caulking around the granite.

They could have not broken my sink. They could have put it in right the first time, put everything in right the first time. They could have reimbursed us. They replaced my sink because they cracked it, and so we had to pay for the plumber installation. They never reimbursed us for that. They had to come out multiple times because they measured wrong. The granite appears stained. Poor finishing work.

The installers showed up on time. Unfortunately they cracked the slab for my sink and had to come back the next day to finish the project. It was a very large section and almost impossible to manhandle. We agreed to add a seam by the green house window to facilitate installation and the installation the next day went well with the new slab. The work was excellent, the crew punctual and the price was very good.

I recently had countertops installed in my kitchen, 3 bathrooms and laundry room. i did a lot of research on multiple tile an granite businesses before narrowing down my descion to Intown Granite. i loved the variety of selection they had, and they seemed very professional and reasonably priced. i picked out a quartzite based on look, feel and durability. The sales associate Ted assured me that by everything i had described i wanted that quartzite was the best material to use. With that being said i picked out my quartzite and put my required 50% down and scheduled a time for measurement and installation. A week later the owner called me and told me that they couldnt find my measurements. i told them that they never did them. He tells me over the phone that he was assured they did. and that he would have to look for them. a couple of minutes later he calls me back and tells me he cant find them. hmmm i wonder why they never came and took them. 2 days later they finally come and take measurements and have to rush around due to the fact that we already have a date for installation. once measurements were taken i get ready for installation which was supposed to take place a week later. 2 weeks later they finally come and start install. the installers show up 5 hours late and come in and we show then our kitchen laundry room and bathrooms and laundry room are cleared out for them and show them the doors to use to enter and exit the house. the minute i show him the bathrooms and laundry room he looks at me and tells me that he was scheduled to only to my kitchen. im like what the heck. thats not the case at all. he tries to get ahold of the owner. the owner doesnt answer thr phone a few minutes later the owner calls back and says yes the entire is scheduled to be done. but the installers start telling the owner that he isnt supposed to take the old countertops out. im like what its tear out and install im like i can show you my reciept. i paid $700 for tear out. he looks over my paperwork and finally says ok. they start demo and start loading everything into their truck. as i see them loading it into the truck. i see yhat my island piece for my new counter top has a huge crack in it. I immediately tell him that we cant use that piece. the installer immediatly calls the shop and gets a new piece cut. thankfully in the mean time they start working on the other areas in my own. might i add they told me at measurements that this job would only take 6 hours. well those 6 hours go by my house still was a mess my countertops were still not fully installed and my new island piece still had not arrived. later that evening my island piece finally shows up and they attach that. but tell me they have to come back tomorrow to finish everything else. by this point im so irritated but pull myself togethor because even though its taking longer that quoted as long as its done right then i didnt want to complain. once everything is done, and my countertops are laid and sealed. the job was beautifully laid and i wad just glad this whole horrible experience was over. The last day of the project they are doing their last minute touches and i was looking over my countertops and paperwork i realize that i didnt recieve my cleaning solution that i purchased at the day of payment. the rep has to call the owner and tells me that another bottle has to be picked up. i look at the installer and say that i shouldnt have to be the one to drive down to the shop to pick this up it was supposed to arrive with the rest of the other materials. they send out another service rep bring me the solution i ordered and leave. All in all i have beautiful countertops now but the experience was miserable, nerve racking and very unprofessional. i will never use intown granite again for any other project i have and i would not refer them to my worst enemy.

We had used Intown before for our countertops, but decided to go with our own trim in one section of the kitchen. When the trim turned out poorly, we asked them to come back and install 4-inch backsplash in that section. They scheduled for the very same week, showed up on time, and did a perfect install. I'm surprised to see that a couple of other folks here have had poor experiences, because these guys have been amazing for us.

We had a very positive experience overall. The initial communication was somewhat poor, but it resulted in a price that was lower than it should have been, which In Town Granite and Marble honored... Very impressed with their customer service! The workers arrived within the timeframe we were given, and -even though installation was much more difficult than they anticipated, they were professional and good-natured. The granite looks beautiful! A seam was necessary with our kitchen layout, and they did an amazing job making it virtually invisible, even with patterned granite. We will definitely recommend them to others!

This is a follow up to my 4/14/16 review of the job. No attempt to remedy the problems makes me wish my first rating was an F, rather than a D. How would you like to pay nearly $5000 and get these results? Since the counter tops are white, your eye goes immediately to the bad seams. Problems include: 1. Seams: Edges of the cut were not smooth to form a straight seam and seam was filled with a white material that does not match. Seams are very obvious since they are jagged and not polished. Material cracked at front edge of sink and they filled that crack with a material that does not match. I don't know if they used some sort of glue, but it is discolored and obvious. 2. Edges of the sink opening are not smooth. You can feel rough spots, and even chips in the material. 3. Faucet not centered on sink. 4. Safety over flow valve does not empty into sink. It was installed so the water will flow away from the sink, over the counter top and onto the floor. 5. Sink opening cut too small for the sink they provided. Instead of being flush with the edge of the sink bowl opening, it over laps the bowl opening on each sink by more than 1/2" all the way around. A couple of weeks or so after my April review was posted, I received a phone call from InTown Granite and Marble offering to send someone out to "make it right". My husband was out of town and had told me previously he never wanted them in the house again. So I explained that to InTown, but said that I would discuss it with my husband when he returned and would call to let them know if he would allow them back to try to fix the problems. Two weeks later when my husband arrived home and told me if the company thought they wouldn't make it worse they could attempt a repair, so I called to schedule it. I told InTown that he did not want the same installers. He wanted someone with more experience, and I was told they would make arrangements and call back with an appointment time. We waited...No call back. I called again about 2 weeks later and was told it was not scheduled yet, so someone would call me back to make arrangements. We waited...and waited. No call back. Finally I started calling other contractors to see if I could get an estimate to correct the mistakes. During this process I decided to call InTown one more time to see if they would commit to a date for repair. I reached Jonathan, who told me they would call me when someone would be in our area. I interrupted him and said we had been waiting for a call for several weeks now and no one has called. Then he told me he was with a customer and would call me when he was finished with them. I thanked him, and I waited...no call back. That was at least 3 weeks ago. We are convinced they really do not care to fix this job. They were paid half up front, and the balance at the time of installation and they don't seem to care about anything else. We do a lot of remodeling in each of our houses, and this is THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE WE HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED.

BAD EXPERIENCE, POOR WORKMANSHIP.  NO ATTEMPT TO CORRECT.  NO DISCOUNT AS PROMISED.

First let me say this was not our first rodeo.  We had counter tops installed in our previous home with another contractor that found on Angie's list. Our experience with the previous company was wonderful and the job turned out beautiful.  We did not use them this time because we could not find the stone we wanted at their location. (See our A rating review of  JC Marble Expo in Des Moines.  They did a beautiful job on our last home.)

This installation with InTown Granite and Marble was a nightmare.  When they arrived we were admiring the stone and the installers told us to leave the room because they did not want us to watch the install.  Now we have a very large kitchen which flows into a very large family room.  We were standing  in the family room which was not at all in their work area.

We had this job done in November of 2015. Right after the install I had a bad accident and was bed ridden for several months.

After I was able to move around better,  I had a chance to better examine the work that was done.  What a disappointment!  The cutout for the sink overlaps the sink opening on either side, reducing the work area in the sink. It should be flush with the sink opening, as our last installation was done.  Why buy a large sink if the stone is not cut to allow you to use all the sink  space?

The sink cutout is rough in several spots. When you run your finger around it you can feel some rough  spots, flat spots, and even some chip!. This edge should be rounded smooth. Bad finish job.

The overflow drain was installed in the wrong position, so that if it does overflow it will flow all over the counter tops and floor rather than into the sink as it should.

The only seam is centered on the sink bowl..part on the front edge of the sink and part behind the faucet up to the wall. That seam is jagged since the edges were not smoothed before adhering the stone together.  Installers also cracked the front section,,,about a 2-1/2"  horizontal crack, which they filled.  However the filler they used is white and does not match the white in the counter top!  Therefore the seams and the crack look very bad...JAGGED AND OBVIOUS COLOR DIFFERENCE. (the previous installer at our last home used a clear filler which disguised the seams very well)  I don't think these installers had much  experience which could explain the botched job.

The faucet is a little off center,,,meaning it not lined up with the center divider of the sink bowls. I could probably live with that, but not the rest of this.

When I called about the problems I was told they would call back with answers for me.  To this day (mid April 2016) they have not called me back or offered any service to correct the problems.  And to top it off...we were told when we ordered that we would get their "Angie's List discount".  In reviewing the final payment they asked for upon completion of the installation, we noticed they did NOT apply the discount!   All in all a BAD EXPERIENCE and we will not deal with them again.

Do NOT use InTown for your project!  They do not stand behind their product or workmanship.  3 weeks after they installed a new vanity in my master bath I ended up with "green bloom".  This is caused by the glue accelerant used by the installers reacting to the stone and caused bright green spots.  It took well over a month and several calls and emails (sales rep was Jonathan) to get the installers back out.  They completely admitted it was an issue with the glue accelerant they used and left me with some absorption paste to pull out the green.  It didn't work.  More emails and I was told "it was part of the beauty of the natural stone" and there was nothing they can or would do to help me.  So now I'm stuck with the "natural beauty" of bright green spots on my brown/white granite.  Thanks InTown - won't ever use you or recommend you to anyone.

We were co pletely satisfied the InTown Granite. They helped us select the granite we wanted, but weren't pushy. The guy that did the measuring showed up on time as did the installers. They did a great job! Even vacuumed after they finished. The seams are practically invisible. If I could "ding" them for anything it would be the 3% they charged you for using a credit card. Who doesn't use credit cards these days? Completely satisfied. Would use them again.

I cannot recommend this company highly enough!  We had tried to schedule our countertop install through Home Depot.  However, one of their employees royally screwed up our order and we were going to have to wait an additional two months to get countertops put on.  We were scrambling to get countertops before Christmas!  Fortunately, I found Intown online, and, that very same day, I had completed an order for quartz countertops......to be installed just ten days later!  They were put on this morning and they look perfect.  All the employees that I interacted with were extremely helpful and professional.  The experience couldn't have been easier or more pleasant.  And, not least of all, my final order total ended up being $2000 less than what Home Depot had charged me!  Believe me, I am quite, quite picky when it comes to home improvement projects - if you need new countertops, go to Intown!

The Intown Granite team did great work.  They have a wide selection of stone and the price was very fair.  Their consultant advised me on color and guided me to the piece we finally chose.  I am very happy with the installation.  The Intown team demolished tile and grout and installed granite with underhung sink, included in the final price.  I found the team to be hardworking, professional, and meticulous and they left the area very clean.

Smooth sail. Once we had our contractor done with the electric outlets/switches, wall preparation and finish, Wesley showed up with his team and in a few hours the old stone was gone and the new granite was done. My wife commented on the virtually invisible seams. It seams like it is all made out of one big piece. Nice job. Clean service, fast and well executed.

This company was wonderful to work with. We went to their location in auburn and picked out our granite. They had a ton of options to chose from. From when we picked out the granite and had it installed was 1 week. They did the final measurement on a Wednesday and had the granite installed on Friday by 1:00pm. The guys who came and installed it were extremely professional and curious. They took all the old tile, garbage, and vacuumed the floor and under the sink when they were done. I am extremely pleased and grateful for their high quality work.

I shopped around the area and their price and responsiveness was the best of the companies I contacted. They answered questions promptly  and always returned my phone calls quickly. Work was done on time and as promised. I did not buy their stock granite, but went to Pental and picked out what I wanted, then had Intown pick up the granite from the Pental warehouse in Seattle.
Only "problem" was that they were unable to make the edge profile I wanted due to the type of granite I picked, but their explanation was reasonable and I liked the way they did it anyway.

They were easy to work with in selecting the materials and clearly detailing the work they would do and the overall cost.  The install was done as promised but did take 6 hours instead of the 3 hours quoted.  The only issue I had with them came at the end when the sales agreement had 3 different amounts owing.  I called their office and was told they would provide an invoice via email for me to review.  I learned at that time that they do charge a 3% credit card fee.  Ultimately they charged my card without sending me the promised invoice via email.  I contacted them again and was made to feel as if this was my fault somehow.  I informed them that I should have been given a choice as to how I wanted to pay the final amount owing.  They took it upon themselves to run my credit card without my authorization.  Rather then fighting with them I decided to let it go and share this information for any other consumers that decide to purchase from this company.

We still aren't sure where "InTown" is in town, but we're very very pleased with their selection of stone, their prices and great service.  The price was much less than Lowe's with a far better stone an the installation was fast and flawless.  We would highly recommend them (other than having to drive to Auburn!)
