"Window and roof cleaning service was great, and they started and finished the job ahead of schedule. Office was very unprofessional when I requested to use an Angie's List coupon that is still available online. Home Team denied the request. I indicated this would be reflected in my reviews, and one representative told me it would be honored. A later email response said they would not and that it is the responsibility of the customer to inquire about coupon validity before scheduling a job. I do not really agree. Ultimately, the work was still great. [*** Link removed ***]"

"Scott had to tear down our old deck (almost 25 years old) and totally replace it.  During the process he found several boards on our other porches that needed replacing that were not part of the estimate.  He replaced those for us and only charged materials (not in the original quote).  The old deck was on blocks, the new deck is so much more solid on poured concrete pillars!  All of the workmanship was great, better railings than the original, all around great job."

"Jim and Tom did great work for us, replacing our decking and making it safe and adding handrails (our house didn't have those installed when we purchased it). They checked in with us on decisions they needed to make, but were always happy to talk through our options and make recommendations when we needed them. They were willing to do a lot of smaller handyman type jobs related to the deck (hauling away all the old decking, replacing a vent screen that was blocked by the old deck and had a hole in it, painting the side of the house where the old deck was at a different height) which made the whole experience a great one. They handled all of the materials purchasing for us without an additional fee (other than cost plus billed time). We absolutely plan on having them return and do more work for us as we redo other parts of the house.

"Dan is exceptionally responsive.  During this process he proactively called me about scheduling changes, ideas to make the project less costly, and changes in materials.  It was a pleasure to work with him.  Dan listened to our ideas, had fine ideas of his own, and came up with good solutions to challenges as they arose.  He never "disappeared" as some contractors do, he was always on the job when he said he was going to be even in VERY inclement weather.   Dan is a professional who takes pride in his work and in providing excellent customer service.
Dan and Cody cleaned up each day and did a thorough clean-up when the projects were completed.  In fact the garage floor hasn't been that clean in ages.  He was respectful of our house, garden, and time.

Playground Equipment questions, answered by experts

Generally speaking, building a swing set is cheaper than buying a prefabricated one, but this assumes you have all the tools and knowledge to complete the project. The average cost to build a swing set is $514, but you should also factor in the time and effort it will require—if you don’t want to give up your weekend, it’s worth considering buying instead of building.

Choosing a suitable backyard playset that’s age-appropriate and entertaining for your children is worth the cost. A backyard playset you can update and upgrade as your kids grow offers even more benefits. Although a playset won’t substantially increase your home’s value, it won’t negatively affect it either.

For artificial turf that’s the most durable, look for heat-resistant products with thicker blades. Keep in mind that there’s a difference between artificial grass versus artificial turf, with turf consisting of a shorter look while artificial grass is longer and more closely resembles real grass.

The cost of the materials to build a DIY playground will run you about $700 to $1,000, which could vary based on the type of lumber you choose to use. On the other hand, buying a pre-made playset costs $1,000 to $6,500 or more, and if you choose to have it professionally installed, you’ll pay an additional $330 to $700.

Wood, metal, and plastic are common materials. Choose based on durability, aesthetics, and maintenance needs.
