Armand misrepresented the way he would work and was rude to me, and then, after I felt compelled to fire him, he attempted to overcharge me by over $20,600 for the partial demolition he had accomplished to that point. I had to hire a lawyer who advised me to negotiate a settlement, which involved compromises I found difficult to make. My lawyer and I settled for $15,850 on 12/6/23. Armand still got away with thousands more than he should have been paid--plus I had to then pay a legal bill of roughly $2500. Therefore, not including my time, energy, delayed job, and stress, I was out roughly $7250."

The main difference is size: a butler's pantry is much larger than a typical walk-in pantry. They are both primarily used for storage, however. Thick, high-quality paint requires fewer coats, as does paint applied over existing paint that's in good condition. However, if painting a lighter color over an existing dark color, you'll need more coats.

Cabinet painting generally takes a few days, factoring in preparation, drying time between coats, and finishing work.

It's possible to replace lower kitchen cabinets without removing the countertop. However, there are some special considerations to keep in mind. Expect to disassemble the existing cabinets without compromising the countertop's support. You might not be able to reuse the cabinets you remove. Next, you'll have to slightly modify the tops of the new cabinets and install blocking after installation to attach the base to the countertop.
