"We initially hired TruPower to install some electrical outlets and recessed lights in a house we recently bought. The project ballooned into much more than that as we saw other things that needed attention. They painted our entire house interior, removed/replaced ceiling fans, installed undercounter lighting in the kitchen and even replaced our entire electric panel. Obviously, as we continued to add things to the list, we came to trust them and the quality of their work. We have been happy with everything they did. Everything. They are conscientious, skilled, and trustworthy. We would most certainly recommend them, and would hire them again in a heartbeat."

"Danny came out and was exceptional, diagnosing and repair a mess of mistakes from another company involving close to a dozen lights and switches. Also installed two bathroom exhaust fans. Again Danny was absolutely a miracle worker, deserves an A++++++ rating. I will definitely use Murphy Family Services again...and request Danny."

"Nigel showed up when he said he would, had the proper tools and equipment to install my off-brand faucet/sprayer. Due to the age of hook up under the sink, he also had to install an inside cut off valve. He preformed everything correctly and completely. He cleaned up afterwards and left everything better than it was prior to him starting. He had everything done within 30 minutes. I am very pleased and will be using his services in the future."

"Kenny Ferguson is very responsive to customer requests. He communicates well to the customer and to his men. Fernado and Mike were very careful in their work and aimed to please the customer. The lights and painted ceiling looked great. They were very pleasant and yet professional in their attitude and work. They cleaned up everything when they were done. I have another job waiting for Kenny and his team to install an attic fan. I have confidence that they will do good work as they have done in the past.

Bathroom Fan Installation questions, answered by experts

While wood stove fans are effective for improving heat distribution, they rely on the stove reaching a certain temperature to operate efficiently. If the stove does not generate enough heat, the fan may not start or may not move air effectively. Additionally, like any fan, wood stove fans cannot cool a stove or reduce its heat output—they only redistribute existing warmth.

If your fan blades are spinning and there is no airflow, your blade pitch may be too flat, or your motor is failing. Adjusting the pitch is a simple DIY task if you have the tools. A failing motor is a bigger problem. You may need to replace your ceiling fan altogether. But fret not, we’ve got a guide for that!

Yes, you can run an attic fan with the AC on. In fact, you don’t have a choice with a passive attic fan. Plus, when an attic fan draws out hot air from the attic, it helps regulate the temperature of your whole home, so your AC doesn't have to work as hard.

The number of blades for your fan poses both advantages and disadvantages. Typically, the more blades on a fan, the better the air distribution and cooling effect, but this also means that your fan will have more wear on its motor. For small rooms, three-blade fans should work fine. For larger areas like living rooms, four or five-blade fans might be the better option.

A whole-house fan works best to pull chilled and dry air into your home in the early morning hours and at night. This system allows you to close your windows after turning off the fan and trap the cool air inside. You can run your whole house fan continuously for maximum ventilation and fresh air, or you can turn it on for ten minutes or so at a time to introduce cool, fresh air as needed.
