Rachel and her team are awesome. We wanted to change our counter tops from Formica to Quartz. She knew from the start what we wanted! She invited us to see other options..we ended up choosing what she suggested on day one! What amazing transformation to our kitchen and bathrooms!!

Ron and his crew did an excellent job. It is a family run business and if we wanted something done a certain way it was done that way. They were friendly, professional and did excellent work. Researched them on the Internet after getting what seemed like some unreasonably high quotes for stone work. They were able to use the stone I picked from Marva without issue. Extremely professional and friendly staff to come create the hard template for a perfect fit and the installers were great and respectful of the new construction and floors.

We are very pleased with our new cabinets and countertops. The overall process went smoothly - we enjoyed meeting with Ron and Deborah, and they were very patient and helpful from the initial consultation through completion of the work. We did have some hiccups (both parties), and the quality that stands out most is their flexibility and patience to work through the few bumps that we had. The guys who installed the cabinets exceeded our expectations; they found creative solutions when designs didn't quite hit the mark, and they were responsive and helpful in keeping things moving forward. The whole process took a few weeks longer than we expected, due to the cabinet manufacturer sending some wrong pieces, but everyone was pleasant and helpful in completing the job. We love our new kitchen, I do recommend James River Granite & Marble, and we would absolutely hire again.

Excellent. Deborah had been super nice and flexible on the front-end, helping to select slabs from warehouses, Erin was accommodative in scheduling after numerous changes, Ben was professional and courteous leading the team executing the job, and JAMES! what a standout! He came out addressed all of my concerns after the installation, came up with creative solutions to fix imperfections from original home builders that was exposed by the countertop work. What a team. High quality, timely, friendly, and care for their customers! Would hire again in a heart beat!

We were extremely pleased with the initial installation. Years after the warranty expired, the seams between two pieces of granite pulled apart. JRGM was hired to repair the problem. They arrived on time and in just three hours, they installed an additional supporting beam, reseated the granite, grouted and re-sealed all countertops.

I called to get an appointment for an estimate, they came out the same day. I was so impressed. I was told I would have an estimate in a day or two. It was all down hill from there. It took me a week and a half to get the estimate, and that was after I asked for it. I was told the project would be completed in two weeks once materials were chosen. It took over six weeks. I canceled the backsplash because of all the issues with that. The men who did the install and plumbing were great. My counters have two mars in them. Then to top it all off they tried to bill me $300 too much. They would not return my texts or emails. A week later I finally got the corrected bill. My daughter is getting her counters done and asked who did mine, I told her and then said "don't use them".

James River Granite is a family owned business with Ron Graham at its head. This review is written after Ron and his team installed granite in three baths, laundry room, and a half bath (all different projects). Suffice it to say, we appreciate not only their work but also their service approach. Calls to Ron or the others at the company have been met with a quick response and always helpful attitude. The JRG team is consistent with the same folks coming to the house to perform the work. The person who cuts the granite does a super job and has met some challenging requests. JRG's pricing is competitive and fair. Overall, jobs well done by JRG and I will be calling Ron again when we determine what we want to do with the kitchen.

We chose James River Granite because of Angies List reviews - and they met those standards with our work. We kept our existing cabinets, and replaced the kitchen countertops with quartz and kitchen flooring with ceramic tile. From contacting James River Granite to final installation took less than a month. Flooring was selected through their contractor, with the installer (Lee) doing an outstanding job in a small space that required real skill to select subtle tile patterns to make it look right. They came back quickly to address very small final fixes.

Was given these guys contact info by a neighbor who was impressed with the work that they had performed for one of his family members. I recently had a dishwasher leak that ruined my linoleum flooring and made it all the way to saturating the subfloor, so I obviously had to get that replaced. With the location of the subfloor to be repaired, some cabinetry would have had to come up with it and be repaired. I called James River Granite based on my neighbors recommendation and they made it out to take measurements and have a look the same day! I told them to go ahead and give me a quote to replace the flooring, cabinetry, and countertops. I got the quote within a few days and went to the office to pick out my new kitchen. A mere week later I got the call that they would get started the following Monday. That Monday came, and they showed up on time and didn't mess around with getting to work. These guys were awesome, it was very evident that they knew what they were doing, and they did it all well. They were respectful and had no problem communicating all the little details as well as how they were planning to get things done schedule-wise. It only took them a week. Demo of the old floor and cabinets, subfloor repair, install new cabinets, install new flooring, install a new sink, and install granite countertops. A week. 5 days. I couldn't be happier with the job they did, both quality and efficiency! I've got 3 bathrooms that are going to need to be redone, and you can bet your bottom dollar I am calling James River Granite and not even entertaining looking elsewhere.

We went in with photos showing our measurements of each counter top and received an estimate. They came out and checked our measurements. They came back out and did our installation (we removed our old counter tops). Installation went well! Noticed a slight problem a day later--one edge had a rough spot. Called company back and they came back out and fixed it. Will DEFINITELY use them again!! Planning on replacing our kitchen counter tops in the summer. VERY HAPPY with the company!!!

This is my second time working with James River Granite. I was so happy that they helped me make my last home marketable at a fair price with quick turnaround that I hired them to work on my new home. I enjoyed working with Deborah and her crew again this time. My kitchen and bath are in the process of being converted into a thing of beauty! There were three jobs done. Each job was performed extremely well. James River granite was prompt and courteous. They were always on time and did exactly what they said for every job that i contracted them to do. That says a lot when more often than not, contractors give customers a runaround. I have recommended them to several friends who also had nothing but good things to say about them.
