"Nicolle Paint did an outstanding job for us. We live in an older home which has plaster walls and ceilings. Over the last several years we have noticed cracks and crevices in our downstairs ceilings that were getting larger with each passing year. Moyses from Nicolle Paint came out and identified the problem and gave us a fair and competitive estimate. They started their work after completely containing the affected rooms with tape and drop clothes. When they finished, we were amazed and wished we had done the repairs sooner. "It is with deep satisfaction that I recommend Grady?s Painting and Plastering & Construction. Mr. George Grady is a skilled craftsman. He was hired to correct long neglected and extensive masonry and window issues on a large, beautiful Presbyterian Church built in the Civil War era in Philadelphia. The property was neglected with only minimal maintenance performed over the last 40+ years. The building was in severe decline and in need of stabilization and restoration on many fronts. Cracked ledge plates were chipped out and reestablished, internal walls damaged by leakage were broken out and repaired, brickwork was repointed and in severe cases reestablished to original strength and beauty. Leaks around the base of the building were addressed to stabilize deterioration of the foundation. Large rotted window sills under beautiful stained glass windows were restored after significant masonry reestablishment due to water damage under the rotted out sills. Broken and missing stained glass windows are in the process of repair and replacement. The process started with new metal frames cast by Mr. Grady. The new frames will hold clear painted replications of the original stained glass, also crafted by Mr. Grady. Regular windows all around the church and manse were also repaired and restored. Roof leaks were accurately identified and repaired. A sagging plaster ceiling has been torn out and restored. All this work was done by Mr. Grady alone or with an occasional helper. He worked with care, expertise and respect for the original structure. The results far exceeded our expectations and have injected new life into a building on the brink. This building, owned by the Presbytery of Philadelphia, now houses a new urban ministry in a newly gentrifying area of the city. We are happy to have had the good fortune to be connected to Grady's Painting and Plastering & Construction"

"Rick came out to my home in Alexandria, gave me an estimate, and started the work not long thereafter.  I bought the house in December, which has a lower level that was supposedly finished. The truth be told, it was totally uninhabitable.  It included a bathroom that was done in the 1960s and looked like it was all a do-it-yourself special.  They gutted the bathroom, main area, and hallway, then rebuilt it from scratch.  The bathroom it now totally updated and I can use all the living space.  To top it off, they did a fantastic job of installing a ceiling over the air ducts, plumbing, and wires in the hallway where there had been no ceiling.   Rick gave it a polished look at a fantastic price.  In addition, he'll tell you if he thinks there's a less expensive way to achieve the same end, and the dos and don'ts.  If you hire him, you won't regret it.

"We had just purchased our townhouse and the main supply pipe burst, causing flooding in our laundry room and carpeted basement.
KJS was extremely responsive to our call and was out to our house within a  couple hours of our call. They were very helpful in explaining the insurance claims process and amount due over the initial phone call, so I knew what to expect upon their arrival. They assessed both the carpet water damage and drywall damage, and immediately set up drying the carpet and removing the damp drywall.
We received estimates for both water remediation (including installation  of padding, and carpet cleaning) and drywall repair. They were great working with our insurance company and knew what forms to submit, etc. Made it very easy to manage on our end, and we received final invoices on the completion date.
They checked back each day during carpet drying to make sure that the fans were still set up and working properly and they were able to move very quickly with the padding/carpet/drywall repairs. The carpet cleaning was great, and they even cleaned the carpeted stairs, even though they weren't damaged.
The drywall installation was excellent - the only thing was the workers painted over a few of the electrical outlets, but when we reported that issue to Steve, he made sure that someone came out to take care of those soon after we mentioned it. The responsiveness throughout the process, and punctuality were great.
