A friend of mine recommended Bobby on Monday. I called him that day and he arrived on Tuesday to give an estimate. The estimate that Bobby gave me was substantially less what another company was going to charge. When I arrived home late this morning, his man, Byron, was already here working and he did a great job. He was very thorough and cleaned up after himself. I highly recommend this company and will be reviewing on other sites plus telling my friends about them.

I signed a contract with Hall's Drywall.  After paying a deposit, Hall's
Drywall didn't perform the work it agreed to do.  I sued and obtained a
judgment in my favor.  To date, that judgment hasn't been paid.

The service was amazing!  I was coordinating the service out of state and Bruce really worked with me on setting up a date to do the job.  We were moving into a new home and wanted things done prior to actually moving in so we didn't have to deal with it when we got there.  Very easy to work with and responded timely every time i would call to ask questions.  Would recommend this company to anyone who needed there services.  I really appreciated everything they did for us.  The garage looks great!

Everything went great - they showed up on time and did very good work. They were also very helpful in changing the schedule at our request. The staff was polite and easy to work with through all stages of the project. We will work with them again!

Excellent work, very high quality. When Rick Hall came for the estimate, he suggested several changes to the scope of work and some of the colors I'd picked out. The end result was a home that looks much better than it would have if he had simply performed the work as I originally asked. His suggestions really make a big difference. Amazingly, they did more work as a result of the suggested changes but ended up doing the work for less than competitors had quoted. The drywall work is also excellent quality. My new home theater looks amazing. I'm extremely happy with the work and highly recommend Hall's Drywall and Painting.

The drywall work was great.   The painting needed some touchup but that was not a big deal.   I let them know where the rough spots were and they took care of it quickly.    We had some scheduling challenges and these guys were very patient with us.   I really appreciated that.  We ended up adding some additional drywall work at the last minute--for a small additional cost.   They quickly took care of that too and it came out great.   I plan to use them on another home in a few months.

Called for an estimate on a Monday and was scheduled for that Friday.  Rick, the owner, showed up on-time and took measurements for the estimate, answered my questions and even offered pointers if I choose not to go with him.  He said he could start the following week and would take 5-7 days.  Accepted his estimate the following Tuesday via E-mail.  Did not get a response and I was unsure when he would start so had to follow up with a phone call (no answer) and E-mail.  Rick had gotten busy on Tuesday and replied on Wednesday that he could start that Friday.
Guys showed up on-time Friday to bring in and hang the drywall.  Hanging was completed that day.  Was surprised Saturday morning when another guy showed up to start taping and mudding.  Luckily I was there so it was not a problem.  (Saw some missed calls, with no voicemail left, on my phone which I presume was to arrange the Saturday work.)  He worked  4 days over the next 5 week days mudding and sanding.  I or someone else was generally at home so I left the basement door unlocked and he showed up, worked and left each day.  Final day was clean up and vacuuming (I paid a little extra for the vacuuming).
I am quite pleased with the work and the price paid for it.  Being a perfectionist (and why I will never do my own drywall) when I used worked lights to clean up the inevitable minor dings and scraps prior to priming and painting, I was struck by how little needed fixing, even under the harsh lights.  A+ for quality.  I was also very pleased with how quick Rick was able to start.  I realize that might not always be the case depending on work load, but it was certainly a big plus.  Crew would show up, work and leave, no fuss.  In what little contact I had with the crew, they were very professional and courteous.  
Only two, very minor, criticisms. A little better communication would be good, especially leaving a voicemail or shooting off an E-mail.  And the guys hanging the sheetrock clipped a wire in an electrical box with their router.  Not a big deal as from experience I expected it might happen, but at least let me know rather than replace the wire nuts over the un-stripped wires (took a little troubleshooting to figure out the problem).   Other than that I am very pleased and think the work looks great.  When I get around to finishing the bathroom in the basement I will certainly give Hall?s a call to do the drywall for me.

Rick is a very friendly, nice guy. I had a few estimates and his was very competitive overall and I felt good about his overall experience with drywalls and the positive reviews.
We had a basement that I wanted to convert into a theater room and an exercise room and Rick and his crew did most of the work. The finished product looks great and I am very happy with the results. Rick was always available and easy to get in touch with. We did have one problem, mainly that he forgot to put in insulation for the ceiling but he realized his mistake and told me about it and corrected it himself. 
Very nice, trustworthy guy. I would definitely use him again.

They did a very good job; my only negative was that we need to do a little more filling around the outlets than I would have wished for, but all in all they get a A- for quality. The crew was very professional, they cleaned up the jobsite each day before leaving, and it looks great!

Called Hall's Drywall and Painting on Monday and spoke with Kim. She informed me that she would talk to the repair crew and call me back within an hour to set a time/date for the repair to be done. True to her word she called back and said someone would be available the next day, between 12p and 1p. The next day, the repair technician arrived early, since his previous job had been postponed at the last minute. He cleaned out where the old drywall had fallen and replaced almost a full sheet of Sheetrock with out any problems. He was very professional and personable, doing an excellent job on the repair.

They were here 3 days and were on time, did an exceptional job, and cleaned up each evening before they left.  We would use Hall's Drywall and Painting again.

As has been stated by others, it is difficult to get through using the primary number or the website estimate request.  Once I talked to the owner Rick (using the second number) the estimate and scheduling went smoothly.  The work took 4+ days-each day the team showed up on time and Joe, the leader, explained to me what would happen that day.  Each day the house was left as clean as possible.
I was very please with the professionalism of Joe and his team. The house is beautiful.

I would love to give Hall's an A across the board. When they do a drywall/painting job they do it well - I have hired them three times now for work at my home and at a rental property, and both Rick and Tony, the foreman on one job, made sure everything was completed to satisfaction before they left and fixed any issues I had. However, it is really hard to get calls returned unless you are persistent, and while I know it's because they are working hard at other jobs it can still be frustrating at times.

Once you have a job lined up, though, their prices and work are competitive and they try hard to meet your schedule even on short notice. We had a miscommunication about materials on one of the jobs because I didn't schedule right away after the estimate and forgot what we'd discussed, and Rick was very nice about sorting it out. I definitely would hire them again and hope to do so soon for my next project.

They did nothing for me as they would not respond to my two requests for an estimate.  I am not going to beg them as there are other A rated companies that I can choose from.

Hall's Drywall and Painting was terrific to work with. First, they answered my initial call (and any followup calls) immediately. I scheduled an estimate meeting with Rick Hall, who was on time and very professional. Rick and his employee were then exactly on time for the repair service. The estimate was for under 2 days of work and the job was completed on time. During the job, work was done with cleanliness and attention to maintaining dust control.

FINALLY!  A contractor who 1) is actually skilled in their trade, 2) takes pride in what they do, 3) pays attention to detail, 4) actually wants the customer's expectations to be met.  Hall's Drywall & Painting is certainly possesses all of those attributes.  Rick came to provide an estimate with the understanding that his crew would be coming in to correct the work of another contractor.  We felt the estimate was fair and were grateful for his professional assessment.  Joel and his crew were scheduled to do the work a week later.  They arrived prepared and got to work right away.  They took time to cover the floors with tarps (we had covered the cabinets, appliances, and counters for the prior job).  They went through and located the problem areas and addressed the areas that were of most concern to us.  The 2nd day they returned to sand everything.  They did a beautiful job.  The end results are what it SHOULD look like when you've hired a professional.  I am confident that when we paint we won't be able to tell where they did work and where they didn't and the walls/ceiling will have a smooth, uniform appearance.  We definitely will hire them again to perform the same type of work in other rooms, as well as when we finish our basement.  If you need drywall work done and you want it to look great when it's finished the first time around...don't waste your time with other companies...call Hall's.

We had a large sheet of drywall collapse in the ceiling of our garage. Called Halls based on the reviews here. They were very responsive and were able to come out two days later. Told me the price was $90/hr per person on the crew. Seemed high, but figured it'd be a quick job and I needed it done soon because I couldn't open my garage door.
They did good work, but it took longer than I expected. It was  a two man crew and took 3 hours, most of which one of the two guys was just standing there watching. They charged what they quoted me, it just wound up being more than I expected since it took longer than I expected.

Owner (Rick) provided the estimate and offered different options for consideration.   Rick was flexible on scheduling the job to accommodate me.  The staff (especially Joel) was always on time, answered questions, prepared for each day (moving furniture, removing light plates, etc.) and  thoroughly cleaned-up each day.  I requested a couple of changes to the original plan, which was addressed promptly and price very fairly.  I would recommend Rick and his staff and plan to use in the future.

We are very happy with the work that was done! The initial phone call to setup the appointment was with a very nice person, and they were able to setup a date for the repairs within just a couple of days. Two people came to perform the work, and they were very professional. They arrived on time and got to work quickly. We were worried about a lot of dust from this repair, but they did a great job of keeping the work area clean. The workers put up plastic sheets where they were working, and when they were done, the area was very clean. Both repairs look great, the new pieces of drywall blend right in with the rest of the ceiling. After we apply a final coat of paint, it will be impossible to tell where the repairs were made. They even let us keep the can of primer for future touch-ups.

We were trying to do a drywall project on our own but were afraid as we were applying the mud that the walls would not be smooth.  So we called Hall's.  Rick, the owner, came to our home and provided us with an estimate.  A member of his staff arrived at the scheduled time a few days later to begin the work.  He worked diligently for a few hours and smoothed everything out.  Rick even called later that afternoon to make sure that everything went well and we were happy with the finished product.  Good work, good price and good service.  We would call them again.

Very impressed with quality of service.  Made prompt appointment, showed up on time, did great work at reasonable cost.
