I had my original 1994 oak cabinets and builder-grade floor/countertops/sink replaced with quartz counters and porcelain tile floor and the cabinets were refaced with new color and doors. I am very happy with the quality of the work and how the remodel changed the entire look of my kitchen. The crew was very professional and meticulous in finishing all work."

"While it is normal for remodeling projects to create chaos and to be the muse of many a horror story, this ended up with a very pleasant end result. We had a complete renovation down to the studs to bring things up to code, which included ripping out the sub flooring and quite a bit of pipes. Parts were ordered and lost and found. Things went on backorder and were discontinued. We fortunately had a fantastic crew. Ismar (the contractor) did an awesome job of making sure that everything was done to spec and built beautifully. He followed our wishes and came back on the weekend and late to be sure the work was done right. The only real challenges were with the design and oversight from the office, between the designer losing our design specs on the first pass and not communicating proactively about delays or back orders, but thankfully these were more annoyance than problem. After a few handoffs, we got Eric E. as project manager, and he saw us through the rest of the project with much better results and only about 30% oversight still needed from us. Overall, we got a great bathroom out of the deal, so 4 stars."

Vlad and his crew were always on time, worked hard, cleaned up every day, minimized dust/mess in the house, were trustworthy, and true professionals. He had specific crews for demo, plumbing, electrical, and tiling. His tiling guys are some of the best in the business. Vlad was very hands on too and when he wasn't working on the house was checking on his crew several times a day giving them specific instruction. He walked you through what to expect each day and always asked for our preferences when decisions needed to be made. Their estimates were very competitive and completed the work faster than others could (also worked weekends with our permission). "Looking for a company to work with on some major and minor house renovations and repairs, I found Two by Four Construction through a special on Angie?s list.  I was contacted immediately and Gary came out to review my list of projects and discuss what could be completed and helped me develop a list of any other items needed for purchase before the renovations/repairs. Gary was incredibly helpful and positive and we set up a date for two weeks hence.
Two members of Gary?s team, Ralph and Bethany, arrived promptly at 7:30 as scheduled; we reviewed the work to be done and they immediately laid drop clothes to cover the rug and tile areas for traffic.  Their work style and manner were impeccable.
Bethany, Tile Lady Extraordinaire, discussed the project before starting and made sure she knew exactly what I wanted.  She was incredibly knowledgeable and had the best ideas to offer -- some of which we used in the project.  Bethany tiled and grouted my kitchen backslash and replaced the electrical plates, smoothed out a rough patch of drywall at the backsplash site, and replaced the kitchen blinds.  She was methodical and patient; her work was precise, neat and beautiful.  I couldn?t have asked for more. 
The handymen replaced numerous light fixtures and water faucets, installed a vent cover, and repaired a storm door frame which had not closed or locked properly for several years. 
I was so pleased with the completed projects, the standard of the work, as well as the professional demeanor of Two by Four Construction?s employees.  I will use them again in the future.

"Some of the designs that were offered when designing the basement were not actually available and I was not told until they were already doing the install. The breaker for the basement lights and plugs seems overloaded because it will trip when I have the treadmill plugged in. There were a couple of places where the paint did not appear to dry correctly and had to be redone and still has an uneven surface. They got it done quickly but you could definitely tell it was rushed."
