"Unprofessional visit. Showed up unannounced and we only knew they were there because one person stood 10 feet from our porch staring at us in through our living room window. My wife spent 10 minutes talking to them, they stated they had no business cards, they only had an appointment card but didn't present it. Honestly when you show up at someone's house you need some sort of identifier if your walking door to door in casual clothes. After the uncomfortable dead stare through the windows my wife and i have decided to post a No Solicitors sign. They didn't take no for an answer at first, pushing with more questions to circumvent the no she gave, as well as interrupted our dinner, as they showed up right at 6pm."

"Tom did an outstanding job of replacing a couple of 20-year-old pressure-treated 6x6 posts for a 2nd story porch that were showing signs of rot. He removed the bad posts, installed new concrete-filled supports, and replaced the posts (including a galvanized metal cap between the concrete & wood). He also straightened a severely-leaning mailbox, securing it with concrete, and even filled in a hole that had mysteriously appeared in our driveway a couple of months ago. The entire project was completed over two days. Throughout the entire effort he kept us constantly apprised of his plans and his progress. And when he and his assistant departed, they left the porch area cleaner than they found it. And the total cost was 25% less than the original estimate."

"We just had my home's worn out cedar exterior completely renovated (Oct 2023). Went out to bid and Macbeth was the only company that met my requirements and budget. Had all new pre-painted Hardee Plank siding, new windows, doors (both double and single), eaves, seamless gutters with leaf guards. 21 new doors and windows that work flawlessly. Window shutters as well. Job was completed in less than 3 weeks to my 110% satisfaction. These guys are experienced professionals that pay attention to every detail and the customer. They adhered to every detail of the Hardee plank specifications and even installed all my new exterior lights. Ripped off all cedar siding, then encased entire house with plywood, then Hardee moisture wrap and taping, finally the Hardee siding and trim. Thorough cleanup. Very highly recommended. It is very important to go with a company that does it all. The others only did siding or doors and windows but not both, but it's very important that both get done simultaneously to have the perfect outcome. Next job is deck replacement, going with Macbeth again, wont go anywhere else."

During that year, we had multiple conversations with him regarding the scope of our project, and he was as willing to contract the scope as to expand it. He wrote several proposals for us, so we could see the financial impacts of our different scope options. Our indecision on scope, and delay in scheduling, never caused any frustration or ill will on his part. Mr. Stroup was helpful, friendly, and patient throughout! His team installed everything in one day, and all who worked on our project were extremely courteous and professional. We have been very impressed with the quality of the work. "We could not be happier with the service and the quality of the work from Valley Roofing.  Our home is 5000 Sf and 120' long.  It was an old country store for many years and had presented numerous challenges to say the least.  Lowell's thorough inspection and assessment of the job allowed him to recommend products that best fit our requirements for vinyl siding, gutters, decking, handrails and sun tunnels.  He explained the pros and cons of different products and advised us on what would work best.  Jeff and Joe the siding crew are perfectionists to say the least.  Their attention to detail, workmanship and ability to solve a multitude of challenges involving vinyl and metal trim on an old house that has 5 additions was outstanding.  The project managers and installation crews for the decking, handrails, gutters and sun tunnels were excellent. All the work was performed on time and crews always kept us up to date on progress.  The recommendations I received by all the crews throughout the job to give us the best job possible were always on the mark and resulted in a beautiful home.  As our home is on a main road we receive compliments all the time from people in town on how amazing the house looks and have had people knock on the door to ask us about the job and who did the work. "Until the past few weeks, I would have left a 4-5 start review for Exterior Source. The office staff and work crews have been very friendly and helpful. The house we purchased has Leaf Guard gutters on it, and I’ve had the company do a few repairs related to water damage and damage prevention for a total of roughly $1,200. Recently I had a corner on my garage with wood rot. I also had an issue with a leak over our kitchen window. In order to preserve the Leaf Guard warranty, I called Exterior Source first, for a quote. This is where things went south. The quote, after a discount, was $1,700. The issues were as follows: 1. A leaking corner joint on the gutters – Caused the rotten wood on the garage. 2. A water diverter that was too short – Causing water to flow around it and leak in the kitchen. I requested a call from the owner, and got a call from Kristian (the sales manager). I explained my frustration with the quote and was told he would call the following day after he’d reviewed the quote so we could discuss further. I didn’t get a follow-up call. Fast forward a week or so, and I got a follow-up call about my experience with the sales team. I shared the experience and the fact that I didn’t get a promised follow-up call. I was told these notes would be shared with the salesperson (Dan) and his manager (Kristian). Still no follow-up. I did schedule a cleaning with Exterior Source, and got another follow-up call. I explained that I wasn’t aware the cleaning had happened and that I knew I had a leaking corner and I needed it repaired. I thought that was being scheduled, but I heard no more about the issue. I decided to have the wood repairs done by my handyman. A couple of weeks later, handyman is working through the repairs, and explains the corner joints are leaking. By the way, we had 3 corners with wood damage, Dan only found one in his inspection. He asks if he should reseal the leaking corner pieces and I called Leaf Guard to ask. The lady I spoke with was super nice and had someone out the next day to reseal the corners. I explained I was having repairs done on the wood behind the gutters but I wasn’t warned that the gutters could not be altered at all to keep the lifetime warranty. At this point, I’m happy. We’re back on track to Exterior Source being a customer focused company, despite our minor issues. When Jake came out (super nice guy) I was told I no longer had a warranty on my gutters, because he noted screws were replaced on a corner piece and a downspout. Keep in mind the work not performed on this visit was running a few beads of caulk in the leaking corner pieces to stop the leaks. Exterior Sources offer is to come out and rehang the gutters (none were removed in the repair), and reseal the corners for $300 to reinstate my warranty. Great service is easy when things go well. Companies that put the customer first when things don’t go as planned understand the value of a customer. The current leadership at Exterior Source seems to need a lesson in taking care of customers."
