"We asked Chris to do this job because we were so happy with the work he did on our barn.  He was able to come out right away and give us an estimate on the job.  He started the day he said he could start and the job took almost exactly the amount of time that he had quoted.  The overall cost ended up being slightly less than what was quoted because he was able to reuse some of the railing from the old steps.  Final product looks great and is exactly what we wanted.

"It went very well.  This job took much longer than anticipated, a few unexpected problems were encountered along the way that slowed it down.  The ordering of materials took longer than anticipated and at times we were waiting for those items to arrive.  This was not the contractor's fault though.  The biggest slow-down was the shower glass installation, which KDK was not responsible for.  What was expected to take 2 weeks took 2 months for the shower installation, and Dave was constantly checking with us to see if the shower had been completed during the wait for the glass to arrive.

The biggest problem, as another person has mentioned, is that this is a very small work crew, a two man team and if one man is down for some reason things slow down significantly.  The workmanship was superb, and no attention to detail is spared, very nice craftsmanship.
Cost was kept to the contracted amount.  We added in an item at the last minute and received a very fair cost for this additional work.
