"Wes is difficult to get up with and quite busy so you have to be patient waiting for replies to emails but the work and work ethic is all worth it. I got quotes from two other larger companies and the prices were astronomical. Wes came over and provided a price broken down by materials and labor which was so reasonable, I would have questioned his price if I had not looked him in the eye and felt extremely comfortable that he was the right choice and not just because of the cost. During the project, the wood had all been sanded smooth by the deck builder which resulted in the job requiring more stain and time to complete the project. Wes was up front and easy to work with - the quality was first rate and I was so please, I gave him a second project - to repair my back yard wooden fence, replace the gate and posts, power wash and stain it. "It was wonderful working with Chris/Castlewood.  They worked weekends, late night, extreme cold weather and pouring rain to make sure that the only bathroom in my home was functional.  Chris understood my needs and kept the budget under control.  I come from a building background and this house restoration has been a long-term, partial do it yourself project.  I've hired other service providers in the past and was never happy with the work done, often having to hire new contractors before finally giving up and doing the work myself.

"Two painters arrived on time on Friday and worked all day and did the priming and partially broke up the hearth, with a chisel and a hammer. Personally I think it would have been easier on them if they had used a hammer drill. Two more painters arrived on time on Sat. and did the rest of the hearth, finished painting and did the trim. They did a very professional job on time and on budget and I would use them again.
