"If I could just rate some of the service technicians I would rate them higher and would recommend that they find a new ethical company to work for! We purchased our unit seven years ago. We had gotten a quote several months prior to purchasing our unit and when we purchased there was a sale that was $500 cheaper then the quote. They had us sign the quote sheet acknowledging installation which had ten year parts and one year labor warranty which we did not pay attention to since it was an old quote. However, the invoice we received had the correct amount that I paid and listed 10 year parts and labor warranty which now they don't want to honor. An attorney I consulted said the invoice would stand up in small claims court which I am now considering. It's just ashamed people don't have ethical business practices. I would encourage anyone looking for a new unit or service for existing systems to look elsewhere!!!!!"

"I called Star City for the first time 2/3/2021 and requested same day service for a leaking pipe. One of their plumbers, James Mills, called me mid-morning to let me know what time he planned to arrive and to ask some questions about the job before he got here. He called again to let me know he was on his way and actually arrived earlier than planned. Although the ground was still covered with snow and everything was soaking wet from the leak, he crawled under my home to take a look at what needed to be done. Once he found the leak, he cut the wet insulation from around the pipes so everything could start to dry out while he went to get some parts. He not only fixed the problem quickly and efficiently, he explained to me step by step the process he was taking and took extra precautions to wrap the pipe and replace the insulation and lining. He was knowledgeable, efficient and had an exceptional attitude about his work. One of the best experiences with a contractor I've had in a very long time. HIGHLY recommend this company."

"One star seems high.A tech came here to do a checkup on A C unit to satisfy service contract.He was in the basement around 20 minutes and came upstairs with pictures of what he said was my furnace fan and A C coil.They were fully clogged with dust.Plus I had a bad switch and the unit wasn't running right.Left a estimate of over $1,200.00 to fix it.Thought that was high so I called another company to check it.I went downstairs with the tech to look at the problem.He removed the cover panels and both the coil and fan were clean.Wasn't even the same fan type that was in the picture.He checked switch and unit and both were fine.Total cost $50.00 for service call.Will be telling everyone I know about Southern Trust.I might be old but I'm not stupid."
