"I contacted Greg on a Sunday asking for work to be performed on my day off. I needed the carpet cleaned in my whole house. I have two dogs and 3 cats so when they have accidents it can get pretty messy. They arrived on time and did a great job. Greg and his staff were very friendly and professional."

"The carpet, which was in very bad shape, came out looking much fresher, and we were pleased with the result. There was some minor damage done to a fresh paint job on the stair railing, which was initially upsetting, but once it was brought to management's attention they were very responsive and offered to reimburse me for the cost of the repairs. Otherwise, the quality of the work was very good."

"Delmaris Carpet Cleaning were wonderful. They were very professional, prompt and their work is excellent. We had to change our date and time several times due to closing date and time changing on us with purchasing our house. Delmaris was very understanding and went out of their way to fit us in at the last minute so that we could get the carpets cleaned before the movers came. The carpet was badly stained in some areas and the previous owners had cats so they had a tough job. They were able to remove all the stains and every trace of cats-the carpets looked great-like brand new. We were very pleased and would recommend them to anyone."

"Wes WENT ABOVE and BEYOND to clean/ flush our gutters. They were long overdue for service and we've had water spilling over the sides during heavy rains. He cleared all the debris and then flushed the gutters & downspouts to ensure they would work as designed. Much appreciated!"

Carpet Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Many professionals use high-powered steam cleaners (hot water extraction machines) to deep clean carpets. These machines inject hot water and cleaning solutions into the carpet fibers, extracting the dirt, allergens, and moisture with powerful suction. In addition to steam cleaning, pros may use specialized tools like rotary scrubbers and stain removers for tough spots, along with eco-friendly or commercial-grade cleaning products tailored to the carpet type.

Soot can be harder to remove compared to other types of stains given its acidic nature. It can also cause underlying paint to peel off during the cleaning process. If your soot issue is a result of smoke damage, it’s recommended you call a pro to help remove it versus doing it yourself.

To prepare your upholstery for steam cleaning, start by vacuuming it clean. Pretreat any stains with a professional stain fighter or your own solution of dish soap and water. Pre-condition the fabric with the products of your choice, and be sure to include a shampoo if the fabric allows for shampooing. Start steam cleaning your couch or other piece of furniture with the cushions, then tackle the rest of the chair. Make sure you leave plenty of time to let it dry.

The cost to clean an area rug is typically between $2 and $6 per square foot, meaning an 8-by-10-foot rug will cost $160 to $480 to clean. However, the final price depends on several factors. The rug's material is a primary consideration, with costs per square foot varying: Synthetic ($1–$4), Cotton ($2–$8), Sisal ($4–$7), Silk ($4–$8), Sheepskin ($4–$8), and Wool ($5–$8). Specialty rugs, like oriental rugs, can cost more, averaging $5 to $9 per square foot. Other factors influencing the price include the rug's size and condition, the cleaning method (hand washing can increase the cost to $4 to $9 per square foot), whether the service is on-site or requires pick-up, and your geographic location. A large, heavily soiled rug could cost $650 or more to clean.

The best cleaner to remove soot depends on the surface material and the type of fire, but consider dish soaps or degreasers, baking soda, rubbing alcohol, and hydrogen. Low-oxygen fires often leave behind greasy soot, which is best removed with dish soaps or degreasers. Baking soda can be useful for absorbing soot deposits from carpets, followed by rubbing alcohol or hydrogen peroxide to clean the set-in stains.
