"I highly recommend Eco Windows & Siding for window replacement; we worked with Jeff and had a smooth, frank and open experience from beginning to end. He used no sales scams to try to get me to buy, but was upfront and honest. Offered us a variety of choices, from an economy option all the way to a luxury window and never pressured us one way or another; once we decided on a window line, he gave us an excellent price right off the bat, with no exhausting sales acrobatics, like the other companies who quoted us. Eco Windows clearly offered the best value for the money. The windows were ready even earlier than he quoted; the installer was kind, respectful and responsive. His team was quick, thorough and pleasant. When we hit a slight snag, both Jeff and the installer bent over backwards to make it right, and as quickly as possible. We couldn't have asked for a better company to work with for this large job."

"Paul does great work, no doubt about it. You don't realize how bad most siding jobs are until you see one down well - like American Siding did for me. Several years later, and the siding looks the same as it did when installed. My neighbor had siding put on his house at the same time I had my cottages done, and the siding is already buckled and coming off in places. You get what you pay for."

"Josh was contacted through his former employer that no longer services the area who recommended him to renovate my entire home that I see he has pictures of on his profile. He did an amazing job with absolutely everything from adding a bonus nursery, flooring throughout the entire house along with custom trim! He provided me with a completely updated home that I couldn’t be happier with. Don’t hesitate to give this man a call. He’s super kind and willing to work with you the whole way. He even installed my appliances that arrived completely free of charge!"
Couple was expecting a baby and lived in a one bedroom loft. Upon examination of home it was determined to use this awkward, fairly unused space to create a quaint little nursery that can double as an office space/extra bedroom later down the road.

Homeowners wanted to provide seperation between the kitchen area and living room area while still keeping the "open layout" feel of the house. The remedy I provided was an open pass-through wall that could double as an extra area for guests to sit down and eat.

"The guys who actually installed the siding & windows did a great job. They were professional and paid attention to every detail. They get 5 stars. The Richline sales Rep was nice enough, but led me to believe that the job would start within 3 weeks from when I signed the contract. After several calls trying to get in touch for updates, I was told different dates until they finally started almost one and a half months later. Apparently Richline has disconnected their company phones and only use their cell phones now."

Siding FAQs, answered by experts

Yes, you can install siding over stucco, but it's crucial to ensure the stucco is in good condition first. Before proceeding, inspect the stucco for any signs of damage, leaks, or mold growth. If you discover water damage, mold, or have ongoing leak issues, it's recommended to remove the stucco completely. This step prevents future problems like mold and pest infestations and allows a professional to repair or replace any damaged sheathing underneath. If the stucco is sound, the installation process involves attaching furring strips to the wall's framing directly through the stucco. The new siding is then installed onto these furring strips. A professional may also need to adjust window and door openings to prevent them from being recessed behind the new siding, which can cause aesthetic issues and create potential leak points.

A self-etching primer is the best option for aluminum siding. These are specifically designed to bond with bare metals, among other surfaces, leading to better adhesion and corrosion resistance. An oil-based primer is a good alternative if you can’t find a self-etching primer.

OSB is a common material used in sheathing, so when OSB prices go up, so does the cost of sheathing. Depending on the economy and supply chain, increased costs can reduce demand, though some homeowners proceed with their projects despite the elevated expenses.

Regular washing and quick repair of damaged areas to maintain appearance.

Wood clapboard siding needs frequent sealing to keep it in top condition—likely every two to three years. A sealant helps protect it from both moisture and sunlight damage. Your weather and climate will affect how often you need to seal the siding, but the pros recommend sealing it every couple of years. More durable woods in milder climates may not need to be sealed quite as often.
