However, she cannot overcome the inflexibility and lack of concern of their owner, Doug, who refuses to communicate via cell phone and is unwilling to work with the customer on schedules and timing. At the end of the day, I lost $900 for temporary lodging for my family to be out of the house for the job, and had to cancel the contract. Use someone else who is willing to communicate about scheduling problems, and who has at least an ounce of concern for his clients. Stay away from Adams Flooring - it could NOT have been a worse experience. I will now be selling my house without the floors being done because the other contractors are already booked through the end of the year."

When the technician arrived he told me that his invoice only specified 1 flight of stairs and that doing both flights would raise the price to $149.00 and that adding an area meant that I lost the $20 discount for a total bill of $169.00! I argued with them and asked for a manager. After a long wait they told me that they'd listened to the tape of my initial call and that I had made myself clear. They agreed to the original price although I still lost the discount! By this time, I told them to go ahead with it. Later I looked for reviews online (which I should have done earlier) and found that the often used these tactics to inflate the price. DON'T HIRE THESE PEOPLE! They are thieves and con men!"
