Small business, self employed, use subcontractors that I can trust, minimum consultation and visit fee $295. That includes, site visit, inspection, and a verbal on site report and follow up with contractors as needed . The fee for site visit and inspection is a flat fee, basically it is the charge to drive to your location and provide a verbal report. This fee does not include a written formal report. A written report is approximately an additional $300. I work evenings and weekends as needed, structural, architectural and mechanical design, inspections and reports, fronsic, expert witness. The majority of the mold was on the side of my house, but the salesperson made a strong pitch about the need to waterproof the front of my home by digging up the garden down to the foundation. My wife was largely convinced, so we went ahead with the $8000 project. Six months later, the insulation behind the waterproofed front of the house is sopping wet. When the salesperson came back to my home to take a look, his explanation was that the water probably came up through the floor. His words were along the lines of "99% of the time the water comes up through the front." At this point, I feel like I have an expensive solution to a problem I didn't really have."

He was very forthcoming by explaining that the repair was not absolutely necessary if there was no leakage, but I wanted it sealed anyway. He did a top rate job and I would not hesitate to use his services again."
