I called 3 other companies before Double D. Double D responded was able to come out the same day. Doug listened to my problem in obtaining a permit. My husband was impressed with his professionalism and knowledge. Doug promised that he would get the report to us within 7 days. We received the report within 6 days. Doug explained his report and what we needed to do upon our return to the permit office. He also stressed that if we have any problems at the permit office to call him immediately.

I called Double D Consulting after a bad apple contractor told me that the stability of the rowhome we recently bought was in danger and that I should hire him immediately for a very expensive job (despite the fact that no other contractors bidding on the job expressed the same concern.) Doug of Double D Consulting was able to arrive that same day to inspect the issue. What I paid for was peace of mind, but it was worth every penny having an expert look through the entire house and give me an honest evaluation of the condition of my 110-year (but new to me) old home.

We hired Doug to check out some walls we wanted to remove but weren't sure whether they were load-bearing. He came by, took a look, opened up the wall in a few places, and had the signed and stamped engineer letter to us very shortly after that. Professional, responsive, and friendly service, we would use again.
