"I didn't have a great experience with HAL Co. They take FOREVER to return calls/emails. The day they were scheduled to come replace my fence they no-showed and I had to call the office around 4 pm to find out they weren't coming because a job was running late. The rescheduled installation was a day I was in the office. The crew said the outlet in my back yard wasn't working, so they left without calling me or ringing the doorbell to ask about it (the circuit just needed to be reset, which my partner at home could have done). I didn't find out until several hours later when the office called to tell me the crew had left. The fence finally got installed, and a few days later a neighbor found nails in two of his tires. The crew claimed they performed a metal sweep of the area, but now the neighbor is trying to get me to replace his tires. Finally, the gate latch got damaged somehow, possibly in a storm that happened a few days after the fence install, and HAL wanted $130 to replace the latch. I bought a latch kit off Amazon for $30 and did it myself."

"On August 30, I contacted Angie’s list because I needed an exterior door installed as soon as possible. Angie’s list matched me with several companies. I met with representatives of these companies but their price was too high (high pressure salesman from one company) and/or the work could not be done immediately. A friend then recommended that I try Jose Amaya Remodeling as she and her husband had used them for renovations on their home. I am so glad that she did. I was initially worried that the work of installing my exterior door would not be a priority with any company since it was such a small job. My unease was alleviated after meeting with Jose to discuss the work that I needed done and obtain an estimate. Jose also helped me figure out the type of door that would work best for me. A few days later (Sept 5), Jose returned to my home with several workers and they did an excellent job of installing and painting my exterior door.
