They were awesome! They gave us three or four options for what we wanted. They installed fence in two days, even after a last minute change that I made.

Amazing !! Because another company was a no-show, they were able to have someone out the very next day. Reattaching the fence was difficult because of previous damage but Marvin did an amazing job. They saved me as I had the tree coming down and needed that fence cleared asap. All around, great job.

Good communication. Showed up promptly and finished work efficiently. They did a great job. Would hire again. Total length of fence removed was somewhere in the ballpark of 75 ft. Posts were cut off below ground level and dirt filled on top.

Couldn't have been better! They were very responsive; showed up on time; cleaned up and were very considerate that we have two dogs so promised that they would not leave any fencing down in the evening but just remove and replace what they were able to in one day. Additionally, I had some question afterwards about one wood slat as well as some space left on a small portion due to the unevenness of the ground. They came back the week I called and replaced the slat and put in a wood border along the bottom with no additional charge. Jay, who I dealt with, could not have been more pleasant and made some excellent suggestions that helped save us some money as well! The customized large wood and metal gate was actually the most expensive but splitting both sides with neighbors brought the rest of the cost down.

Accokeek was a pleasure to deal with.  From getting a conceptual quote over the phone from Ed to setting up the site visit with John.  John came out and gave me a quote on the spot.  They were in line with other quotes I received and I thought the workmanship on the pictures on their website was superior.  I had my install scheduled at the beginning of 3 straight weeks of rain.  Ed was great to keep in touch and reschedule a couple times.  When the rain finally broke, they were out the next morning.  Kenny was the onsite supervisor and was fantastic.  His initial walkthrough with me put my mind at ease that he was a professional and was very detail oriented.  His crew were all great and treated my property like it was their own.  The finished product looks amazing and the experience with all their employees was top notch.  Save yourself some time and just hire them - it is worth it.

They were excellent. Actually, I had them do work for me before. Home Depot had a deliver on my neighbor’s property and broke two of my fence’s post. They had to pay for this thing. It was $375 but that was what I had to get and find somebody to do the repair. They were quick, efficient, and did what I needed. They are five stars. I have had them before so I have really had selected somebody I knew was great.

I decided we needed a real fence for my dogs to stay over at grandma's for daycare.  The guys at Accokeek Fence were fantastic.  They were able to quickly schedule the initial consultation/quote appointment and did not try to over sell me.  We had another fence company refuse to do the work because it was "too small a job" and another who refused to give us all the options Accoteek did.  A couple of things they did that set them apart.  1) they immediately understood the purpose of the small section of fence (to keep two small corgis in play area with an easy open gate for my grandmother ) 2) that I was on a very small budget and 3) that I was paying for the fence and arranging it but that the work was to be done at my grandmothers home.  The fence was needed because I work extremely long hours and paying for dog daycare every day was not an option.  As such they allowed me to have my grandmother pick up the fence permit on her own to speed up the process and allowed me to drop off the payment on a Friday afternoon instead of having to wait to have someone come pick up the payment so work could start the following Monday.  I was so impressed by their customer service we decided to opt for a slightly fancier fence #6 Pressure Treated Flatboard Fence with Lattice instead of the plan design we originally thought we wanted.  My grandmother said they performed the work in the time promised and did a fantastic job cleaning up the site after they were done so the yard was immediately ready for the pets to play in without any fear of sharp edges, nails, wood chips etc.  Apparently they went above and beyond and spent a good deal of their time showing my grandmother how to operate the gravity latch I selected which was definitely not something most people would have had the patience for for as small a job as our little 20 ft of fence was.  
To make a long story short, over a year on and the fence still looks fantastic and is functioning perfectly.  I will definitely use them to replace the rest of the fence when my budget and grandmother allows me to. 

Accokeek is truly, and in all ways, a phenomenal company. From start to finish, they were a pleasure to work with. They showed up on time, worked nonstop, were meticulous in their attention to detail, and were respectful of our property. They cleaned up after themselves and left us with a gorgeous addition to our home...this fence adds tremendous value and curb appeal. When we encountered a small problem with a broken sprinkler line, they worked with us to resolve it quickly and professionally. I would unhesitatingly recommend this company to anyone, and I will definitely be using them in the future (although from the quality of this fence, I won't need to anytime soon!)

Good company! Hire them! The workmanship on my side of the fence is great and my neighbors fencing and gates are very well done. I also had a friend who hired Accokeek 2 weeks ago to install a fence on her property and it looks great too. I know she is very happy, so is my neighbor and I'm happy, we're all happy. My friend is not a member of Angie's list and I don't think my neighbor is either but I always love to comment when a company has done a good job so thought I would throw it in. The price reflects only my side of the fence.

This is a great company! The sales rep came out three times to help figure out how to best keep the dog from climbing the fence without having to replace it and keeping the nice open look of the split rail. He had several suggestions, always keeping price in mind. He came out immediately (same day) and then stopped by a second time to show me what he had in mind. It was clear he had taken the problem back to the office and discussed it to get ideas.
The workers showed up the next day (it was really, really cold), they worked quickly, did a great job, added some extra support at the top of the fence that would keep it from sagging (that we hadn't talked about).
But, that wasn't enough to keep the dog in. I called the next day and asked them to put in a stockade fence (+/- $6000). The owner came up with an overhang idea for $600 (his cost), came out that very day with a prototype, took pictures, went back to the office, emailed me the pictures, got approval to procede, and did the work without me there to pay them. All of this was done within six hours of my call! His solution was ingenious, effective, and not visible from the street.
This company could have sold me a $6000 fence with me not having any idea how many other less expensive options there were and I would have been happy. As it turns out, they came up with a solution for nearly a third the price.
I will never hesitate to use this company again and I will tell anyone who even looks like they need a new fence about my great experience with Accokeek Fence!

Accokeek repaired our fence after I explained that I could not afford a whole new fence. Our fence had loose posts and brick brack which had been caused by a powerful storm.

They did a good job and we were very happy with their work. They were prompt in finishing the job and I would recommend them.

They arrived on schedule with enough crew members to finish the job as estimated. The foreman paid attention to every detail and consulted us on all decisions. Knowing that we were fencing in the yard to contain our dog, he made certain that there were no areas where the dog could possibly get out. We even spoke to the president of the company, who told us that an upgrade we were considering was not necessary, which saved us $500. We feel that Accokeek Fence is an honest, hardworking company. It was a pleasure doing business with them, and we would recommend them.

I was pleased with their work. I would probably give them another chance as it took them a couple of times to get the work completed since the boards had frayed. Mike came out when they giving us an estimate and was extremely knowledgable with the information and was able to get us a better fence than what other companies had offered.

Had a lot of trouble getting a hold of someone to set up time for an estimate. No returned phone calls. Multiple disconnections during conversations. Finally resorted to email which they were responsive to, up to confirming the time of the appointment.

I took the entire day off to handle other home projects while I waited for the appointment time.

No one showed up for the appointment. No contact from the company since.

Tried calling but again couldn't get a hold of anyone. Sent an email, outlining the project, requesting the estimate be completed within a week of the then missed appointment.

No response. No estimate.

From what I remember of peoples names for the first job, I think most of them I was dealing with were the same people which is disappointing as the first job I used them with went smoothly enough I came back.

New work was completed by a different vendor (obviously since Accokeek seemingly never wanted the job). That job was $1900.
