Customers say: Quick response

"I used them back in 2015 and was impressed with them. So I decided to use them again. I was quoted an hours worth of work. Then, when it came to the final bill, was charged for two hours worth of work, and this was with 2 men working the job. They were just replacing 3 pendant lights and 1 dining room light. So I was surprised and disappointed that it took that long. More importantly, one of the workers said something inappropriate to me. It made me feel very uncomfortable and afraid. So I called the owner to tell him what happened. He said he would speak to him. I felt like the owner could have taken me more seriously, been more sympathetic and apologetic about it. He made it sound like he was almost defending him. *** Update on this: The owner did speak with his crew member and said there was a misunderstanding of what he said and apologized for it. However, I know what I heard. Even to the end, it seemed like the owner was still defending him. Either way, I won't be using them again after my experience."

"I was looking for someone to install two newly purchased Google Nest floodlight cameras and requested quotes from about seven different contractors. After comparing my options, I decided to move forward with Mr. Deepak because his pricing was by far the most reasonable. He came out, completed the installation exactly where and how we wanted it, was respectful and professional throughout the entire process, and got the job done without any unnecessary complications. I’ve already saved Mr. Deepak’s number and will absolutely contact him again for any future electrical projects. Fair pricing, good work, and a straightforward experience from start to finish. Five stars. Highly recommend!"

"Carlo and his assistant were outstanding. Very professional, courteous, polite, well mannered. Carlo explained everything very clearly before we committed to proceeding with the work. I only called for a quote, and he did not try to pressure me to get the work done right there and then. I asked him to do it immediately after he told me what needs to happen. Once I did, he clarified several times to ensure I understood what the quote covers and what it does not cover. He completed the work of installing a light fixture very quickly and ensured every step of the way that I was satisfied with the height, the location, and the function of it. He even explained how this light that I chose would fail in future and what needs to be done if that happens. He didn't try to upsell any services or products and actually gave me advice on saving money when he could have just as well spent some time and charge me unnecessarily (I had an issue of flashing light bulbs in a yard lamp). Because of his integrity and honesty I will be calling this company every time I have a need for any work in future!!!"

Ceiling Fans questions, answered by experts

Ceiling fans require periodic cleaning of blades to avoid dust accumulation, checking screws and connections for firmness, and occasional lubrication for components, keeping the fan running smoothly and quietly over time.

A typical fan installation takes between two and six hours. The exact timeframe can be influenced by factors such as the home's structure, existing electrical characteristics, ease of attic access, and whether complex wiring or additional attic ventilation work is required.

The number of blades for your fan poses both advantages and disadvantages. Typically, the more blades on a fan, the better the air distribution and cooling effect, but this also means that your fan will have more wear on its motor. For small rooms, three-blade fans should work fine. For larger areas like living rooms, four or five-blade fans might be the better option.

The direction you want your ceiling fan to move in depends on the season you’re in. During summer, you want it to move counterclockwise to produce a cooling downdraft. During winter, you want it to move clockwise to circulate warm air throughout the room.

Identifying the source of noises is your first step to soundproofing a room without overspending. Generally, sound comes from inside or outside of the house. Inside noises include creaking floors, living noises like TVs in the living room, cooking sounds, or kids being kids. External noises generally include incremental weather, disturbing neighbors, and street traffic. Inside noises require you to soundproof floors, ceilings, and doors, whereas outside noises may require you to soundproof your attic, windows, and walls facing the streets.
