"It went great!  The 6 recessed lights, and ceiling fan electricals were installed in 3 hours.  By the end of the day, the ceiling fan and switch were installed and the first coat of sheet rock patching was complete.  The next day, the second coat of skim coat was complete and the painter painted the entire ceiling in both the kitchen/living room and office.  He didn't just paint the patches--he painted the whole ceiling.  After completing that, John took 2 days to investigate 2 leaks around a door and window.  Upon opening the wall, John discovered there was nothing between the siding and the interior sheet rock and trim.  Poor construction by our tract homebuilder caused leaking and condensation, creating water damage.  John repaired both areas with extensive caulking and insulation. 
This is our second time using Pierpoint Construction for our remodeling and home repairs.  The crews are always ahead of schedule, polite, and experts in what they do.  They will always propose the proper way to fix something and will never take shortcuts. I think most of these folks have been doing their specialty for at least 15 years.  I was caught off guard on how fast they were and I had to hurry up and buy the ceiling fan because they were ready to install it within 3 hours on the first day.  You get what you pay for, and Pierpoint Construction is well worth the cost in time saved and absolute quality of materials and workmanship. They are our go-to construction firm.

"It went very well! We visited the Chantilly showroom to look at their materials and met Cemmy Kurt (who would be our designer) and Allan. There was no pressure to buy anything, and they were happy to answer questions. We set up an appointment for an estimate and were very pleased with both the price and the materials. We chose to do the demolition ourselves, which allowed us to make changes to the design as necessary. Cemmy was exceptional at communicating with us, incorporating necessary changes and choosing the materials. He even found a better deal on upgraded kitchen cabinets, allowing us to have exactly the look and features we wanted. The work started on time and stayed on schedule throughout. Orlando (project manager on site) and his team were very good at the installation and very accommodating with inevitable changes. Work took almost 4 weeks, but the finished product looks wonderful! "This is one of the best companies I have ever dealt with since we bought our home 25 years ago.  The owner is incredibly professional and very easy to work with.    The crew took down the old deck within a matter of hours and began work on the new deck the same day.  The carpenters were terrific and they had the new deck done within a matter of days.  We were able to use the deck for our Easter Sunday company.   The deck is stunning.  It's larger than the old one, it's made of composite and the attention to detail makes this deck pop.    The owner paid a lot of attention to the structure in order to make the deck design easier for my husband who is recovering from a stroke.   I cannot say enough positive things about this company and crew.

"First the good stuff.  They did an excellent job on the craftsmanship.  The wall and walkway look amazing.  The wall is a short sitting wall curved to follow a broken paver pathway.  The wall has 8 lights and covers about 40 linear feet enclosing a garden. 
The walkway is especially well done with nice thin mortar joints between the stones.  Arranging the irregular stones is like assembling a puzzle and they did a great job.
The price was reasonable, neither low or high. 
One thing to note in dealing with them.  Make sure you write down exactly what you expect.  The contract contained minimal description and I added a couple written paragraphs and a drawing.  This became an issue when they originally built the wall incorrectly.  To their credit the didn't argue much and fixed it up.  Would also suggest that telling the site manager anything verbally does not mean its getting done.  Write it down.   Again nothing deliberate, they just don't write it down and forget.
