I was moving in the following week and asked how quickly they could do an order hoping they could do the bedroom carpeting before I moved in furniture. Brad came out and did the measurement 30 minutes after I closed and 3 days later I had carpet (even with a hurricane that week). The installer noticed I had not replaced the hallway carpet and were conscientious enough to check on my plans before they cut it for the transition. When I told them I planned to tile they made sure to leave the carpet so that it could be tucked appropriately after that work was done. I had the tile work done 4 months later. This time they came out right after a snow storm right when they said they would. They did a great job and showed me every little detail in terms of any issues with the sub floor or walls or any decisions they had to make regarding adjustments or placement. The carpet guys were back the very next day to finish the transition to the tile area. And everything looks awesome! My only little complaint would be that they forgot to tell me I would have to get a plumber to reset my toilet. It was on the quote, but I thought it meant there was a charge for them to bring in a plumber. Not a big deal and nothing that would keep me from coming back. They set up their equipment and began their task. The repair people began and quickly realized that more effort and materials would be required. They informed me, and I told them it needed to be fixed and to do what had to be done (there was rumor of a hurricane coming) and I wanted that leak fixed. They finished the repair, showed me their work, and cleaned up the whole area of all debris. I asked about the extra costs and they said it was their problem and there were no extra charges. THAT is the way business should be done. One week later and Sandy blew in. When the storm was over, I went outside to see several cap shingles missing (different area). I called on Friday and they set the estimate for Tuesday. Tuesday I received a call from the estimator with another estimate. He said it was a small job and he had a crew in the area. If I approved, they would do it now. Done deal, they would invoice me. I am extremely pleased and have already recommended them to two neighbors, and my mother-in-law (risky business!) A small but effective operation. They removed my old film and had three options to select to replace it, which progressed to a high-quality film. I selected the best tint they offered and was very pleased. They took the time to determine the state my car would be in to ensure the tint I...

Darrin came to our home for an estimate. He spent a great deal of time educating us to the options, process and pricing. He even installed pieces of three different window films on one of the windows so we could see the difference. He quoted all three and told us we needn't decide until...

"Excellent, excellent, excellent service. It's stunning these days to have a transaction with a company which is stress free. Add to that the extremely reasonable pricing, stellar and regular communication, and perfect execution, how could I not write a review? I had to have my old film replaced after 17 years. The original company quoted a price that was out of our ballpark. I thought I'd have to live with really awful looking windows with the old scratched and disintegrated film. I was kinda bummed. On a whim I did a search, not expecting to find much help. I contacted Clear View, and they responded quickly, came out to evaluate, explained it wasn't just the look but the actual functionality of the film which was compromised. Then he created a proposal with the best products for my needs. He didn't try and oversell. He didn't price gouge. And for twice the amount of work as the first company had quoted for, he gave me a quote a few hundred dollars less. Then he communicated consistently and thoroughly every step of the way. The person who did the work was prompt, quick, and had excellent skills. Put up with the menagerie here, too. Then there was follow up! To make sure I knew how to care for the windows properly. To make sure I was satisfied. To let me know the warranty had been submitted. All along, interactions were businesslike but very friendly, easy going, and oh so responsive. Thank you for making this a business transaction that stands out in my mind for all the very best reasons. You made such a difference by making this stress free, fair, and customer focused."

I was impressed that he immediately knew it was a Pella door and pointed out that the construction made replacing the glass easier than with some other Pella models. The glass had to be ordered, which was estimated to take about 2 weeks, but took closer to 4--possibly due to holiday season. Wasn't a problem for us, and the replacement work was done professionally, with clean up of all materials and even replacement of the decorative film over the glass. Would definitely hire again."

"Never again! I ordered my “rain” glass for my door in March of 2023. They said it would be 4 to 6 weeks. When they came to install they took out my clear glass and installed basically the same same glass…clear. They had to order the correct “rain” glass. After again a 6 week wait the glass was defective and had to once again be reordered. Long story short in July, 2023 I finally received the correct “rain” glass. My door was damaged from taking out the glass multiple times. When the installer left he specifically asked if it was okay to charge the balance to my card on file. I told him it was not and I wanted the talk with the girl in the office that I had been dealing with and asked him to have her call me. She did not and charged my card. I called her and asked if I could receive a discount and was told she would have to talk with the owners. I received a call back saying that since the order was finally satisfied no discount would be applied. 4 months later…longest 6 weeks ever! They could have thrown me a bone for waiting patiently on their screw ups, but did not. Customer service is not their forte."

"I was on the market for a security system and this one seemed easy enough to install.......went through the process and some of the window sensors were not working. I called Customer Support who was very friendly and we went through the entire process again...this time other window sensors did not work. This went on for a week or so...then the door senors stopped working....than the motion sensor stopped working...at no time in over a month did I have a fully operational security system. As I was about to return the system I was told they have "new" sensors and they just realized they received a bad batch and are working with another company.....Gave it a try....and same issue returned....some sensors worked....some didn't. I finally returned the system and stopped getting emails.....only to find that they were still billing my credit card even after I returned the equipment. Very nice people and very understanding.....unfortunately their product is not up to par. While we do have a large home, it's an open concept and the sensors that weren't working were no more than 15ft away from the base. The previous owners of my house had a wireless system with no issues at all.....I'm going to be using that company going forward."

FAQs for hurricane film service projects in Kents Store, VA
The average cost for window security film is around $7 per square foot or $42 per window. However, your total could range from $3 to $15 per square foot or $18 to $90 per window. The cost depends on the square footage of your window, the thickness and quality of the security film, the number of windows, and the type of windows.
Hurricane window film costs about $350 for a 75-foot roll, which can cover about 10 average-sized windows. This film can help prevent window shattering during extremely high winds, but it’s not impact-resistant like storm windows.
Your homeowners insurance provider may decrease your premium if you improve the security of your home with window security film. You can contact your insurer to determine whether there will be a change in cost after applying this addition. If there is a decrease in your homeowners insurance premium or deductible, it will likely only be available if your window film is installed by a professional window film installer.
Window security film won’t prevent break-ins or stop your window from shattering from impact during extreme weather like hurricanes or tornadoes. However, applying security film is relatively inexpensive, and it can make breaking into your home significantly harder—often hard enough to deter burglars entirely—and keep your window from shattering on your floor after impact. For these reasons, window security film is often a worthwhile investment that helps protect your property.
Window security film has a few key benefits that make it an enticing home improvement:
It’s much more affordable than shatterproof windows or hurricane windows.
It improves your home’s energy efficiency and can save money on heating and cooling bills.
It makes it harder to break into your home.
It helps prevent dangerous shattered glass after an impact.
You can tint it to provide additional protection from the sunlight.
Applying window security film yourself is possible, but we don’t recommend it. This task is simple in theory, but getting the product to sit on your windows evenly and without bubbles underneath is challenging for DIYers who lack the necessary experience and tools. You might save money on labor by applying it yourself, but you might also end up with a film that doesn’t look appealing, prompting you to start over and spend the money on a professional installation anyway. Plus, most window film manufacturers will void your warranty if you install the product yourself.
