"American Home Contractors and Hugo in particular were great to work with. We had multiple jobs done which required several trips and Hugo kept us informed and worked around several weather delays. He relocated and installed a new attic fan, hooked up the bathroom fan to a new roof vent, insulated a pipe in the attic, installed apron flashing on four windows, painted the flue vent, reconnected some lose siding and replaced three pieces of rotted trim and painted it. The work appears to be top notch and we appreciate the hard work and long hours Hugo put in! I would definitely recommend this company and most certainly Hugo to everyone. We also had American Home Contractors replace our gutters and install gutter guards. They did an excellent job with that as well."

"I cannot recommend Independent Solar Solutions of Ashburn, Virginia. After 7 months, and many delays and inquiries on my part, the company was still unable to complete my installation per our August 2017 contract. They could not tell me when or if the back up battery included in the contract would be obtained. In March 2018, we mutually agreed to end the contract, with Independent Solar Solutions paying me the difference between what I had already paid and the cost of the partial installation they did. That should have been a fair, although disappointing, end of the business relationship. However, despite many personal emails to me from Independent Solar Solutions’ chief operating officer Michael Geaneas that the check was on the way, that he was mailing it “tomorrow,” sending it UPS with a tracking number, etc., from March 2018 through May 2018, I never received the agreed-upon refund for the work that was not done. Since then, neither Mr. Geaneas or Niko Eckhart, the president of the company, nor anyone at Independent Solar Solutions, has replied to repeated inquiries from me via email, mail, facebook or phone. This is truly the worst home improvement contracting experience I have ever had, with a company that says on its website “Promises Kept & Performance You Can Trust.""
