They had an old owner. He is knowledgeable and very good. I was very happy with the service. I wanted to use them again but the new owner doesn’t have as much as extensive experience. I would use them for the price. I didn’t go over them because they change ownership.

Robert was extremely methodical in his inspection.  Starting on the exterior, he took the time to explain his observations, the reasons he highlighted various aspects, things I should look for going forward and implications of addressing or not addressing individual issues.
As a result, I have an excellent understanding of what would be required upon move in, and a great road map for planning future upgrades and renovations.  I used the report provided to adjust my offer incorporating previously unexposed issues.  
I highly recommend Robert for his thoroughness and professionalism, and would use him again in the future.

Robert was  incredibly detailed in his inspection of the house and took the time to answer any and all questions that we had.  He checked every detail of the house and made very specific recommendations which was extremely helpful in the negotiations with the seller.  He not only pointed out the issues but also explained whether each was a minor or a more serious concern and how each should be addressed.  His experience and professionalism were very apparent throughout the process and made us feel extremely confident in our decision to buy our new home. The inspection report was extremely thorough with very detailed pictures which supported all highlighted issues and will be helpful in owning the home as it clearly points out where all of the main and emergency switches/valves are located.   I highly recommend Robert and HomeTrust inspections.

Mr. Giles did a fantastic job inspecting the home my wife and I were planning to buy. He was very methodical in his inspection and went the extra mile to point things out.I arrived approximately fifteen minutes prior to our appointment time and, Mr. Giles was already on site beginning his inspection. We walked around the entire home outside initially after which we started in the basement and worked our way up to the attic. Mr. Giles took his time in every aspect of the inspection. He ran appliances and the furnace to ensure they functioned properly, and wasn't afraid to get his hands dirty looking in ever nook and cranny. I would recommend Home Trust Inspections to any of my friends and family and, we will use them again in the future!!!

We were amaze at how detailed Robert was at inspecting all aspects of the house. We were able to walk through the home inspection with Robert, and during the inspection, not only would he point out some of the positive and negative aspects that the house have (e.g. he would point out that the work on the deck very well done or that there are presence of dry rot), he would also provide suggestions as to how to maintain/upkeep other aspects of the house. Overall, it was very education for us and the home inspection was very thorough.

He showed up on time and was very detailed in his analysis of the home's condition.  Based on his inspection report, I decided not to purchase the home for several reasons:  Mold in attic and basement, multiple signs of water intrusion and signs of pest/rodent infestation.

I thought I would be early to our inspection, but Robert got to the property earlier than I did! First off, he is thorough and explains things along the way if you are interested in what he has to say. He obviously knows what he is talking about, which is evident in his communication during the inspection and his written report. 
Honestly, we ended up not buying the home based off what he found. As sad as I was about his findings, his thoroughness ended up saving my husband and I from buying  a home that would likely give us grief for years to come. Additionally, he had a full report the following day that was extremely professional and well-written. 
We have a contract on another house now and of course I am terrified that something is wrong with it. Yet, I would rather find out bad news during an inspection versus finding out after closing.  Hopefully, Robert will have time to do another inspection for us.

Robert didn't just show up on time, he arrived early and ready!  He walked us through his planned process and then let us accompany him and ask questions.  He answered everything for us and explained each item thoroughly.  He did a comprehensive evaluation from roof to plumbing, outlets to floors to windows, etc.  His report was back to us within 24 hours and had photo documentation for each item listed.  Our realtor told us "it's the best report I've seen."  We skipped the radon testing so can't comment on that.

This was an excellent experience overall. I found Mr.Giles on Angie's List - and he was pretty well reviewed so I retained him, to provide a second opinion to the home inspector my real estate agent recommended. Making the appointment was extremely easy - simply a phone call followed by some online documents.  Mr.Giles arrived 15 minutes early and performed a very comprehensive  home inspection over a three hour period. He was methodical, and paid an extraordinary attention to detail. At times he seemed nitpicky, but that is certainly a positive feature - he tells you EVERYTHING that he sees and finds, and lets you decide on its significance. For example, he removed the screws in the electrical box - and cited that the screws were sharp-ended instead of blunt - which apparently is a hazard. Several weeks after the initial inspection, I called Mr.Giles to follow-up on a few things that the Seller fixed. This was easily scheduled and he provided prompt and courteous follow-up service. I strongly recommend Mr.Giles - he is a buyer's dream, and seller's beware.

The inspection went great! He was on time, professional and very knowledgeable. The price was reasonable and he was very helpful during the inspection. He gave us our report within 24 hours by email. We have used him twice and he is excellent.

I thought it went well and he did find a number of small things I had overlooked that can be addressed easily by my handyman. Mr. Giles also brought up two issues He said I would have to address. The first is a new roof, and the second some dry rot. I found him very professional, and he had a standard routine he followed. He brought his own ladder, unlike the home inspector who supposedly was working for me 10 years ago. He was punctual, professional, and forthcoming with information.

As with the previous inspections, Robert Giles arrived on time.  We discussed the steps that he was going to take.  He performed the inspection and went over it with me.  He was very thorough and professional.
I would recommend this company for anyone that wants a piece of mind when purchasing a new home.  I had an excellent comfort level when work was completed.

We contacted HomeTrust on Thursday (4/18) and asked specifically for a home inspection on Monday 4/23. They were able to accomodate the request. Robert arrived slightly before our designated time and got to work right away.  He explained a lot about the house and what he was seeing as he walked through - giving us the opportunity to tag along and ask questions or just leave him to the inspection.  Our situation was a tad awkward because the sellers wanted to be there for the entire inspection and felt the need to comment from time to time to us/buyers.  Robert handled it professionally and didn't let it interupt his process.  We had the final report electronically in 24 hours as promised with detailed pictures, commentary and a recommended list of items for us to have corrected.  We were very pleased with the experience.

I asked them to do a home inspection of a new house that I purchased. THe inspector completed the inspection without me being there and sent me the report next morning as that was my walkthrough day with the builder. He even asked me to call him for any questions even though he was on vacation that day. So I called him and went through the report next morning right after I received the copy. He was very patient to answer my questions. He even told me to call him for any questions during the walkthrough process. I am so happy about their services and professionalism.

Overall, the inspection was exactly what I expected.  In my initial call with Robert Giles (owner), I explained that I wanted the inspection done on my current home for my own information and not as part of a home sale transaction.  He looked up some info on my house and asked a few questions to determine size and pricing.  Given the positive Angies List reviews, I didn't bother with getting other price estimates given that $400-500 appeared to be the competitive range, and since our house is decent size (about 4,000 sq ft), thought this was about right.  
Robert arrived a little ahead of our scheduled time and I could see he was already taking some pictures of the roof, etc. when I went out to meet him.  In general, the inspection proceeded as planned- went around outside and inside and probably spent 2-3 hours to cover the full inspection.  He took a lot of pictures, asked me some questions, and provided useful information and pointed out issues / observations as we went.  While I was ultimately already aware of most of the issues, it was useful for preparing my to-do list.
There was one issue that I was really worried about that I had forewarned him about, which was that I knew we had had animal "residents" in the attic over the past year.  I was very interested in pictures and his assessment of the damage caused, including waste matter left, chewed wires, points of entry, etc.  I thought this might actually be something that a home inspector, with advance knowledge of such an issue, might actually refuse to go in the attic to check.  Robert had wisely brought a HEPA mask / respirator and didn't hesitate to include this as part of the inspection (big cool points for that).  Needless to say, it was a mess up there with raccoon waste all over the place, obvious points of entry, etc.
Here's where things took a bad turn.  While Robert was in the attic, I heard a loud crash out toward the living room and knew that was not good.  Robert had slipped in the attic and his foot had come down through the ceiling, damaging about a 4 x 8 foot patch of ceiling and dropping drywall, insulation, not to mention raccoon mess down into the living room and damaging a lamp in the process.  While this might lead some to a scathing review, I actually felt that they way Robert handled this entire situation was outstanding.  While clearly shaken up a bit by the fall and the damage caused, Robert came down, cleaned up the mess, covered the hole with plastic sheeting and duct tape, and made a call to a contractor before leaving my house to schedule the repair for the next morning.  His contractor came as advertised and did a fine job of taking care of things, including re-painting the entire living room and hall ceiling, so there was no sign of the re-patch of the drywall.  He covered the cost of the damaged lamp, and everything was resolved.
He sent me the inspection report the next day, and it was a very helpful, high quality report with a lot of pictures.
Overall, the service provided and the way Robert dealt with a difficult situation was outstanding and I would use him again for a home inspection.

Better than I even expected.

Expectations were set and exceeded.  I would definately recommed Home Trust Inspections.

I arrived almost 10 minutes early for the inspection and was pleasantly surprised to see Robert and Tim waiting for me, very punctual. I'm a first time home buyer and Robert and Tim were good about checking to see if I had questions. A couple notes on the inspection, the townhome's roof is covered by the HOA and there was no need to check the attic but Robert and Tim offered to as a courtesy, as well as calling the Radon folks when they did not show up on time, and I received my inspection report within 24 hours - great turn around time. They went the extra mile and were pleasant and professional. I would definitely call them for my next home inspection.

I have used four different home inspection services over the past two years and this team, by far, has the best customer service.  I had to cancel the first appointment the night before because I found out that the utilities were not turned on by the seller and they were accomodating.  Even on the second attempt, all utilities were turned on by the utlity companies except the gas was not turned on on time by the utlity companies and HomeTrust was willing to comeback and inspect the gas systems the following day.  the gas person finally called and said he was on his way during the inspection and HomeTrust was kind enought to wait around for 15-30 minutes so they could finish this portion of the inspection.  Their flexibility, willingness to accomodate the unfortunate situation I was in with the utilities and tight schedule sets them apart from most service providers I have dealt with.
Beyond their great customer service, they were willing to spend the time to answer all questions and concerns.  I would definitely use them again. The combination of price, service, and customer focus is why anyone looking for an inspection should call these guys.
