"A Home Renovation LLC (Owner: Javier) ​Overall Rating: 2 out of 5 Stars (DO NOT RECOMMEND) ​I hired A Home Renovation LLC for a porch renovation, which included a smaller, agreed-upon auxiliary job. While the project was completed, the experience was deeply unsatisfactory due to both subpar workmanship in highly visible areas and the highly unprofessional and belligerent behavior of the owner, Javier. ​Issues with Professionalism and Communication ​Javier is exceptionally challenging and argumentative to work with. His communication was defined by open hostility, sarcasm, and dismissal of customer input. ​Argumentative and Dismissive: He was openly hostile to basic customer questions and input. When questioned, he repeatedly reminded me that he had "been doing this work 10 years," using his asserted experience to dismiss any concern or design preference I had. ​Rude and Disproportionate: When I politely requested an itemized receipt, his immediate, disproportionate response was: "Jesus Christ you told me at my earliest convenience. I'm working on it. I've been busy." This established a tone of disrespect for the entire engagement. ​Excusing Poor Quality: When a flaw in the completed work was pointed out, Javier’s response was, "you get what you pay for," suggesting low quality was justified despite our agreed-upon contract price. ​Contractual Obligation Treated as a "Favor": He treated the small, agreed-upon extra job as a personal favor rather than a commitment under our contract. ​Critical Workmanship and Material Damages ​The structural work was adequate, but the final, highly visible details suffered from poor execution and damaged materials. ​Poor Workmanship: The final detailing includes uneven cuts and poor finishes in prominent areas. ​Material Damage: We noted several critical material damages upon final inspection: ​Cracked stair post tubing. ​The hand railing running down the stairs is badly scratched. ​A new white handrail has a noticeable black stain on the bottom. ​Conclusion ​Had Javier been willing to engage respectfully, I might have been able to overlook minor imperfections. However, his belligerent attitude, combined with noticeable flaws and material damage, makes this unacceptable. ​I now require that all noted issues, including specific poor workmanship and material damages, be corrected immediately or that I be reimbursed for the cost of professional repairs. Due to Javier's conduct, A Home Renovation LLC has lost any opportunity for future projects I had planned. I strongly advise others to look elsewhere unless you can handle the disrespect."

"Time management was poor at best. Crews running too many jobs at the same time. My bathroom remodel took over 8 months to finish after a 90 day projection. ATTENTION TO DETAIL WAS VERY VERY BAD!!! Flooring was not laid smoothly (tile). Multiple holes cut in new sheet rock to hang light fixtures.. Apparently Troy can't use a tape measure properly. He was the supervisor that got fired. 1 of the workers was smoking weed in my house (we don't smoke anything inside). Neil the owner cannot be trusted to tell you the truth. Very dishonest people, company. BUYER BEWARE!!!!"

They really know their stuff when it comes to roofing and other home repairs. After replacing my roof almost a year later I had another issue, my gutter fell due to a snow storm. I called Mike and he was there to help in no time. The quality of the work was very impressive. "Owner Ricky Stroup was infinitely patient with us, as after our initial meeting it took us over a year to hire his company to do this work. During that year, we had multiple conversations with him regarding the scope of our project, and he was as willing to contract the scope as to expand it. He wrote several proposals for us, so we could see the financial impacts of our different scope options. Our indecision on scope, and delay in scheduling, never caused any frustration or ill will on his part. Mr. Stroup was helpful, friendly, and patient throughout! His team installed everything in one day, and all who worked on our project were extremely courteous and professional. We have been very impressed with the quality of the work. Working with Gutter Glove of North Carolina was an enjoyable experience, and I recommend this company!"
