The Carpentry and Painting Experts, LLC was founded in 2004. The company is 100% family owned and operated. The owners are George(father) and Alex(son)--both seasoned professionals in the home improvement industry. The business was formed to improve and meet the needs of people in the Richmond Virginia area who are looking for top-quality carpentry or painting services. At The Carpentry and Painting Experts, we take customer satisfaction seriously! We make ten promises to you: 1. We promise, to do our best to satisfy your highest expectations. 2. Left message? he returned the call ?asked for pictures?. Price quoted, arrived on time? ready to work. After seeing the job price did increase some ? not too much. Not a big job? but he worked with our budget?. He and his worker were so nice ?and clean??.

Showed up for estimate, was rude because there was another estimator and said there is a $400 min job charge...so what ever they quote I am sure they will inflate their labor costs to make sure the "job is worth their time"

Wonderful company! There was a slight misunderstanding with the crew about color selections and also a little difficulty understanding accents but, otherwise, the crew did a great job, showed up on time and put in full days' work. The project manager stopped by to make sure things were going well and then again after completion to check it out. Rain caused a delay in starting but they can't help that! Pricing was right in the middle of 5 quotes.

This is a follow up to a previous review. I rank customer service an A. I received a call from the manager and I was reimbursed some money... I appreciated the follow up and professionalism shown in making it a fair price. The job was well done and again they put the customer first...Well Done!

The workers had to come back a second time because they did not use screws but nails. I was told it would take 6 hours to replace the boards it took an hour. When I questioned the charge I was told they have a $400.00 minimum, which was not told to me up front. They left nails all over my walkway, so they did not clean up after themselves. This lack of attention to detail and charging top dollar would be a concern for future work. The workers did return the next day and did a good job and reinforced the steps but they need to do it right the first time.

They never showed up. I scheduled this 3 weeks ago and sent them my punch-list. I took today off and when I called them, they said that they failed to send me a contract and weren't going to be able to come out and were extremely non-chalant and made it seem like it was my fault. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

He came up today and told me that he doesn't do any flooring and don't really do windows even though it says window repair on their profile. This was a waste of my time.

Our services are clearly described and carpet installation is not one of them. In regards to windows repairs - we do repair wood windows and we provided you with a quote to repair your window. Vinyl windows are not something we can repair. The Carpentry and Painting Experts, LLC"

We managed to finish all work in the short time-frame you requested. For the trim painting contract we explained to you and to your husband, that a second coat of paint will be needed. Against our recommendation you decided to proceed with a single coat of paint. We performed a final walk-through with you and you were completely satisfied with the work performed. Our project manager went way far out of his way trying to help you, and he is very upset from the review we got. From the one sentence review written on Angie's List, people may think we abandoned the project, which definitely was not the case. You can see from our reviews that we take pride of the work we do and our customers are very satisfied with the results when they follow our recommendations. They arrived as expected and were very professional. The painting and repairs look very good. They matched the colors (where the paint was only repaired/touched-up) very well. They forgot to replace the screw that held up a light in the half-bathroom, but they came by the next day to replace it (it had been inadvertently taken). This is the second time we've used the Carpentry & Painting Experts. We would recommend them and use them again.

The project manager and team were both very professional, polite, punctual and demonstrated the necessary skill sets /knowledge to perform their work in a very satisfactory manner.
