The job went well from the time I received my quote till the job was finished. We were pleased with both projects to our house.

The team came out from start to finished and did a great job repairing our front porch railings and columns. Very friendly, good work, good pricing.

Left message🕛 he returned the call 🕧asked for pictures🏚. Price quoted, arrived on time🕙 ready to work. After seeing the job price did increase some 💰 not too much. Not a big job💲 but he worked with our budget💸. He and his worker were so nice 😁and clean👍🏾.

Showed up for estimate, was rude because there was another estimator and said there is a $400 min job charge...so what ever they quote I am sure they will inflate their labor costs to make sure the "job is worth their time"

Wonderful company! There was a slight misunderstanding with the crew about color selections and also a little difficulty understanding accents but, otherwise, the crew did a great job, showed up on time and put in full days' work. The project manager stopped by to make sure things were going well and then again after completion to check it out. Rain caused a delay in starting but they can't help that! Pricing was right in the middle of 5 quotes.

This is a follow up to a previous review. I rank customer service an A. I received a call from the manager and I was reimbursed some money... I appreciated the follow up and professionalism shown in making it a fair price. The job was well done and again they put the customer first...Well Done!

The workers had to come back a second time because they did not use screws but nails. I was told it would take 6 hours to replace the boards it took an hour. When I questioned the charge I was told they have a $400.00 minimum, which was not told to me up front. They left nails all over my walkway, so they did not clean up after themselves. This lack of attention to detail and charging top dollar would be a concern for future work. The workers did return the next day and did a good job and reinforced the steps but they need to do it right the first time.

They never showed up. I scheduled this 3 weeks ago and sent them my punch-list. I took today off and when I called them, they said that they failed to send me a contract and weren't going to be able to come out and were extremely non-chalant and made it seem like it was my fault. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

They did the work and I paid them. They were professional. They did the job. They did it well. They were timely.

He came up today and told me that he doesn't do any flooring and don't really do windows even though it says window repair on their profile. This was a waste of my time.

On time, very professional and cautious about work performance and surroundings. Helped to put furniture back in place, repaired nail holes and corner taping problem. 2 coats of paint.

They arrived as expected and were very professional. The painting and repairs look very good. They matched the colors (where the paint was only repaired/touched-up) very well. They forgot to replace the screw that held up a light in the half-bathroom, but they came by the next day to replace it (it had been inadvertently taken). This is the second time we've used the Carpentry & Painting Experts. We would recommend them and use them again.

The project manager and team were both very professional, polite, punctual and demonstrated the necessary skill sets /knowledge to perform their work in a very satisfactory manner. Most importantly, the team met my project needs without issue and were very respectful of my house both inside and outside. I would definitely hire The Carpentry & Painting Experts again!

They were punctual, efficient, and apparently competent, but preparation of surfaces for painting, especially window trim, was not as thorough and careful as I would have expected. This probably accounts in part for the low price.

Contacted office twice during business hours and received voicemail promising message would be returned same day. Left message asking to schedule an exterior painting estimate and four days later still have not received the courtesy of a reply.

Communication was excellent, price was completely reasonable, workmanship was top-notch, both in quality and speed.

Their estimate was the lowest by far. The next higher was 2.5 times as much. The quality of the work seemed good, although I was a little miffed that I paid $1000 for 4 hours of work from 2 men, with minimal materials. I thought this would have been a bigger project, which leads me to wonder just how well they did the job. There were issues with getting the estimate correct and overall communication problems. Generally speaking, though, I was satisfied, and thought I had found my "go to" contractor. A few months later, I have another job for them. Now I cannot get them to give me a reasonable estimate. This one is 4 times what the job would seem to justify. And the estimate is wrong and does not reflect what I asked them to do. (example: they quote 90 pieces of siding without specifying what they mean by pieces (no lengths, no specification of type or material) and this is just for one end of a small house.) So, I asked them to explain, and the only response was "that is my quote." This is totally unacceptable. So, in good faith I asked the office to help me, thinking that maybe language issues were involved. They have a lot of foreign workers from Eastern European countries, and although very nice people, their English is not always perfect. A few days later, the "supervisor" came to my home, and I gave him the same information I gave the first estimator. Days later, and I have still not heard anything back from them. I think this is very rude and unprofessional. I am trusting these people with my home. The least they can do is be polite. I think the first job was a "seed" job to get a new client on the hook. Now they think my new job is not something they want to do, so they just walk off and leave me hanging. I would rather to the work myself than have to deal with these problems.

I don't know if this organization incompetent or doesn't value customer service, but they kept me waiting for 30 mins and then didn't even bother to show up. Especially annoying since I had called to confirm 30 m ins before meeting and was told everything was on schedule. If I hadn't have gotten frustrated and gone home, I doubt they would have contacted me and I could have been waiting there even longer. Just left me wondering, if they are this careless with the estimate, what will the actual work look like? Definitely would not recommend for any work or even consulting, as they obviously have some trouble just showing up.

This is a great group of professionals and I would highly recommend their services. They are punctual, the quality of their work is superb, and they go the extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction. A big shout out to Tim and Yordan. Thank you!!

The team came out promptly even though there was a bit of snow and freezing rain on the day of the service, and as soon as they got to the house, they got busy working down my list of tasks. They worked together as a team when the work was higher up off of the ground, and divided and conquered when the work could be done individually safely. Some of the work required the team to set up 16ft A-frame ladders and fix up a crack that ran 20 ft across the ceiling and roof line and to work on the joint between the wall and the ceiling that was too far over the edge of the loft for me to reach safely. They ended up getting it taped, mudded, and sanded throughout the course of the day and now you can't tell there was ever a crack. They also cleaned up some shoddy taping and mudding (done by yours truly) and skimmed a bathroom wall. All of the work was very clean and the team paid attention to the details of the work and anything their work was going to impact (like fixing some spots on the walls about 3-4 feet away from the joints they were fixing that I had not initially seen or put on my to-do list.) They did some painting and some cutting in where there was no fresh joint compound, and all of the lines were very clean and straight. All in all, I am very happy with the work that this company has done for me and am very happy with the communication of the team lleads and the main office. Everything went very smoothly and they went the extra mile in everything they were doing for me to make sure I was happy with the work they were doing. I will definitely be using them again if I ever have more drywall work to do or if I have large painting projects, and I would recommend them to anyone in the Richmond area that needs help in getting their home projects completed.
