"I had the pleasure of using this service last August. Last year my AC went out and another company wanted to charge me over $800. to repair it. Being outraged and "hot" I called Advantage. Two very handsome men not only quickly repaired it, but the bill was a little over $100. They were amazing, polite, professional and now that a friend is asking for an AC company to repair her broken AC, I am referring my friend to Advantage. ** Fast forward two years.. my heat goes out during the coldest weekend in years. Xmas weekend, I was without heat. I stayed in my bedroom running two portable heaters. I could not wait for Tuesday. I called Advantage Heating and Cooling. I was told the soonest appointment would be on Thursday, but the young lady promised if any cancellations, she would call. THANK THE G-Ds there was a cancellation. Alex Meyers arrived and did a complete inspection. I held my breath for the worst news. Alex was AMAZING, he fixed it for under $200. AND gave me a VERY honest explanation and advice. I LOVE THIS COMPANY. I would NEVER use anyone else, EVER!!!"

She will ensure that your problem is addressed quickly by a professional, and will check on you after your service to make sure everything went smoothly. Our service professionals can handle any problem that you may have, from drains backing up, to water leaking, toilets running, garbage disposals failing, we have you covered. And if you are lucky and don't need emergency service, we can help you with your bathroom or kitchen remodel too! Locally owned and operated by the Proffitt family, we have been plumbing in the Richmond area for 4 generations. Taking care of your home is what we do!

"Initial water heater replacement happened 5 years ago, and went fine. However, given our water heater feeds into our heating system, evidently pressure builds up in the water heater more than usual, and lead to a failure after just 5 years. A simple pressure tank would have prevented my latest issue, but since it "wasn't required by code" then, and I wasn't told that it would be a good idea, one was not installed. So, fast forward to 5 years later, and though the tank itself was covered, they charged me over $1000 to replace it. They were only hear for 4 hours, so we're talking about $250/hour, and that is outrageously overpriced. I appreciate that they added an pressure relief tank this time (it's code now, so I'm not sure they had a choice), but I still believe the tank would not have needed to be replaced if they'd gone above "what code requires" in the first place. Going to the minimum and not beyond is not what I'm looking for in service, so I will be looking for someone who goes above and beyond next time."
