"Technician Shane Moore and his helper Chris did a phenomenal job unclogging a very, very clogged drainage pipe at our house. After hours of sweat and hard work they were successful at unclogging years of sludge from the pipe! This was the second time that Shane has come to our rescue! He is a wonderful man and we appreciate all of his hard work and professionalism!"

Customers say: Quick response

"10/10! Paul contacted me the same evening I put in a request for a plumbing professional. He was able to come the next day, and it was the most easy going and successful experience. Paul and his son are highly experienced and very nice people. They got straight to work with their knowledge and equipment and were able to completely clear up and pull out a massive hair clog that had stopped the water from draining. They worked fast and efficiently for an extremely good price. The bathtub now drains wonderfully, better than ever. really appreciate the work they did and the kindness they showed me. He let the shower run for a solid amount of time after finishing up so that I could watch the way it was now draining, making sure I was happy with how everything was working. (I also got to see what all they pulled out - wow!). I will definitely contact Paul with plumbing issues in the future. Thank you both SO much! I highly recommend this business!"

Small jobs welcome

I like what I do. Always something different, and always meeting new people. I've been doing plumbing/handyman services for over 35 years, and I still learn something almost every day. My work has carried me all over Virginia, and my customers have always called me for more work when they needed it.\nI like that. If I don't know something, I'll find out, or, I'll pass it on to someone who knows. \n I'm not afraid to bet you'll be happy with whatever I do for you.

Drain Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Yes, pop-up drains commonly get clogged with hair, soap scum, and toothpaste. It is important to know how to properly clean the drain or get professional help to ensure it remains clear and can drain water effectively.

If your kitchen is flooding, first turn off the water supply and electricity before entering the room. Next, focus on immediate flood control by cleaning up any standing water with a sump pump or wet-dry vacuum to prevent long-term water damage to your home. Open your windows and run any dehumidifiers you have handy. Finally, call a professional plumber to help find the source of the flood and repair it.

For homes with a septic tank, harsh chemicals like those found in drain cleaner or bleach aren’t recommended. Some chemical drain cleaners can disrupt the balance of bacteria in the septic tank or damage your pipes. For homes with a septic tank, you can choose drain cleaners specifically formulated for use with septic tanks or go with a drain snake. When in doubt, make sure you know who to call for a clogged drain

Air gaps get clogged by a few different means. Over time, food and grime can collect in the air gap, leading to a blockage. Mineral deposits from hard water are a common problem. Mineral buildup creates a film in the air gap and tubing, which can cause flow issues, as well as attract debris. Homeowners with hard water may want to remove mineral deposits regularly to keep the air gap clean and clear.

The cost to repair a main sewer line clog is about $3,110 on average. The average cost range is  $1,310 to $4,950, but it can go as low as $215 and as high as $9,300 or more. The cost factors for this repair include the severity of the clog, pipe accessibility, video inspection, removal method, permits, pipe material, labor rates in your area, and time of year. Repairs made from outside during the winter can be more difficult due to the frozen ground or during the spring if the ground is saturated from a lot of rain and snow melt.
