technicans showed up right away and on time. Justin the apprecitice did a great job of being there and helping the process. The senior man inspected the celing and determined a leak on the roof. I'm just glad it wasn't the fire sprinkling system. All in all, a great job. thanks again. Angies List members, hire these guys! Dave Miller

Last summer I had trouble with my AC. They came in and fixed it right away. I did not have to wait at all because of my service policy. Overall they are a great company. They come in with IDs, wear shoe protectors, and have good communication.

Making the appointment was efficient, follow-through was the problem. On a day well before my appointment I was called and told the technician was on the way - the date of the appointment was not correctly documented in their records. Then on the day of the appointment, the technician arrived and was very professional, but without the flushing fluid needed for the job. I took time off from work for nothing, we both waited an hour and apparently no one was available to bring the needed supplies. The appointment was rescheduled and the tech was very professional and helpful. The work appears to have been fine. The problem that caused the poor rating: 1.) I learned I did not need the service, meaning the preventative maintenance was not necessary and 2.) the price was $495.00 when it was $299.00 two years before by Croppe-Metcalfe. I checked today with a well rated firm and if I needed service and a flush the price they would charge is $225.00, however they suggested I did not need to have preventative service performed on the unit. The accounting department representative at Croppe-Metcalfe was so the reason for the "Fair" Professionalism rating. I gave him the benefit of the doubt in the first email, but to then respond as he did before the Plumbing Supervisor responded was a bit beyond the Pale. A quote the email I received: "In regards to the invoiced amount being higher now compared to when it was done in 2015 is a generalization. Many businesses in today society perform due diligence in order provide the best opportunities for their target market." I provided a copy of the 2015 invoice when I questioned the amount, which was for the same work, so I don't know why that is a "generalization", I would say it was rather specific. The rest of the text is not something I even understand. The Accounting representative stated further: "To get to my point, based on your email and voicemail, it appears the sole reason you won't pay for this service is because it costs more which is your personal conjecture and would not be considered as a reason to adjust the invoice balance." Since the preventative maintenance at $495 (which I was told by the tech was discounted 10%) is $200 more than they charged 2 years ago, and a competitor is quoting even less than that prior $299 at $225. my reason for questioning the billed amount was more than my "personal conjecture". Their HVAC folks are better, but I would not use their plumbing service again, I experienced no customer service focus. Also, I was threatened with collection in 48-hrs if I did not pay now. Mind you, I had a call into the Plumbing Supervisor that was out of town until Monday and the work was only done yesterday. I simply was not comfortable paying the full amount at time of service, I will pay the bill, which I never said I would not.

It didn't cost me anything because I have a service contract with them. The quality is perfect. They are right there when I want them. They say they are going to be here at eight o' clock they may be here at eight thirty or nine o' clock depending upon the previous call. They can't be like a doctor. I'd give them a good grade. Hell, I've got a contract with them, I'd better use them.

The technician did not seem all that familiar with changing a bulb. They’re very pleasant about it. Their price is a little high.

I didn't go with them because they were three times more expensive. I went with somebody else. I did have to pay for an estimate. The price seemed outrageous for what it was. They were fine, just the price was three times more than other people. I have a contract with them, but based on that, I might drop the contract. The contract didn't give me any advantage for them coming out because they were exorbitant than other places. They have always been professional. The only problem that I have had with them was trying to get an estimate for an HVAC system and they wouldn't tell me which model they were going to install, so I couldn't cross compare.

I don't know what the cost was. We have five different units. It's on a service contract. I can't remember how much we paid overall. They are pretty expensive. I think they are pretty professional. Everything that is done is computerized. They wear uniforms. They wear booties. They keep the staff, it's usually the same people. The workers were pretty good. They have several of them. They usually send the same one.

The toilet tank fills correctly now; however, I have no doubt that CroppMetcalfe over charged for this service. Does it REALLY cost $290 to replace a fill value and flapper? We have been using CroppMetcalfe for about a year now, but we will be using another plumber for now on.

Was double billed and office would not return multiple calls to correct. They said I (involuntarily) prepaid at next service.

The installation of the hot water heater went smoothly. However, shortly thereafter I discovered that they had taken a shortcut connecting the drain pipe from the overflow pan. They moved the drain pipe from my air conditioning exchanger away from the drain hole in the floor and placed the one for the water heater overflow pan in its place. I did not notice this until a hot day and my air conditioner was running. The humidity being pulled from the house through the HVAC system drained out onto the floor of the utility room causing wet carpeting. For the pop-up drain stopper, the technician did not install it properly and the stopper did not open far enough for the sink to drain. The technician who came out to repair both the drain problem from the water heater and the pop-up drain stopper did an excellent job fixing both. It was very inconvenient for me as I had to take a day off work for the corrective work to be done.

I have requested an itemized bill from them for submission to my insurance company for several weeks and have gotten not gotten the information. The company representative stated that CroppMetcalfe (CM) does not itemize expenses. CCHS, the warranty issuer, is refusing to reimburse me for the total cost, offering only 1/3 of the amount that CM charged. CCHS based that reimbursement amount on the "cost" that CCHS would have incurred to do the work (although the preferred provider for CCHS could not install the unit). Based on CCHS's analysis, I can only infer that the CM will not respond because the work was ridiculously overpriced. Further, it is really poor customer service. As a former service provider, I expect a company to be able to furnish costs for equipment and costs for installation. Bottom line, if you have home warranty insurance, do not use this company. If you do not, be careful how the costs are outlined for you.

I use Cropp Metcalfe.  No question, they're the best. They're one of the most top notch companies.  They are awesome.  They were here September of 2016.  I have a service plan with them so there was no cost to the actual visit.  The service plan is like a $195 a year or something like that I think.  I would absolutely use them again.

I paid for an annual service agreement for my heat pump in early Nov. for the 1 Dec to 30 Nov 17 time period. I had to replace that heat pump in mid Nov. and used another company. I called Cropp Metcalfe to get a refund of my annual payment only to be told that they would review it after I submitted a written request. The fine print in their service agreements says that payments are not refundable. Not a company I will trust in the future.

CroppMetcalfe was extremely professional, and got the job done very well. Their whole team was great to work with, and we would recommend hiring them. They have convenient windows before and after work times, which made the process easier for us.
