"17 year old system was throughout cleaned and inspected. Chris did an excellent job explaining every step and cleaned it out very nicely. He added a tad bit refrigerant which is not uncommon for an older system like we have. Thanks to him our 17 year d system is still going cooling and going strong! We highly recommend Chris and his team at short pump heating and air. Very professional, courteous and knowledgeable."

Small jobs welcome

"I recently had my mudroom remodeled and the transformation is incredible. He removed the old closet doors, added beautiful casing and shelving, installed new flooring, painted the entire room, and put in a new interior door. The space is now clean, functional, and looks amazing. He also did extensive work outside, including cleaning up my flower beds, cutting down trees, trimming my crape myrtles, and removing old pavers. My yard looks better than it has in a long time. He was professional, dependable, and clearly takes pride in his work. Cleans everything up when he is done. Everything was done with great attention to detail. I highly recommend him and will definitely be using him again."

"Thank you so much for your help. Thomas reached out earlier this morning and was able to replace my leaking faucet and line the same day. Reasonable pricing. Would definitely use again."

Drain Cleaning questions, answered by experts

As a general rule of thumb, it’s best to clean your linear drain every two to three months to prevent debris buildup. However, if you notice it draining slowly or an odor from your drainpipes, it’s best to clear the clogged drain and maintain it more often. If you let a clog go for too long, you may have to invest in the price of professional shower drain cleaning, which costs about $225.

Common drain issues include slow-running drains, whether in a sink or shower, clogged drains, a bad smell, and water backing up into a sink, shower, or bathtub. Causes range from hair, grease, roots, or toilet paper clogging the drainpipes to flooding outside the home, which prevents sewer lines from draining properly.

If the drain pump on your washing machine is continuously draining, it could be that the control board is damaged and requires repair, or there’s a clogged or kinked drain hose. If you can’t locate the problem, you’ll want to have a plumber or appliance repair expert come take a look.

Food grease, soap buildup, paper products, and tree roots often cause serious clogs.

Regardless of the drain cleaner type you choose to use, they all work through chemical reactions that create heat. Thanks to the heat, the clogged hair begins to dissolve until it is able to be flushed away. To avoid clogs in your drain due to hair, use hair catchers and empty them out after every shower.
