Customers say: Quality work

"OUTSTANDING! Cannot recommend any higher! Great job from start to finish . Repaired three fence gates in preparation for pool opening May 1. Very professional. Provided prompt response to bid request. Gave estimate, said he could take care of the following week. Gave $500 deposit and he came back when he said he would and took half day to do the work. The repaired gates operate better than when the fence was originally built: I guarantee it. He said I owed him $650.00. He and his associate got $750.00 cash from me and I’m not sure the $100.00 “top” was enough. But, that’s all the cash I had. Hire this guy. If he says he can do it: he can do it. P.S. Miguel, your DeWalt battery charger is still on my front porch….."

"It went great they arrived on time. They removed my carpet in less than an hour. Mr. Barett worked with when it came to getting additional supplies and still was able to complete the job before lunch time. Cleaned up after the job and was very professional. I will be recommending them to others.

Pool Table Assembly questions, answered by experts

Keep a multi-parameter test kit and fine-mesh skimming nets on hand to manage heavy tree debris and variable water chemistry in Chesapeake. Stock up on algaecide and shock treatments to combat algae growth during the long, humid summers. For year-round pool and spa service preparation, store freeze protection plugs, a submersible pump, and cover weights to protect your system during sudden winter freezes or active storm seasons.

Helpful?

Watch for uneven or sinking decking, which indicates previous pool and spa service ignored the expansive clay soils common in Chesapeake. Calcium and iron staining or recurring algae point to inadequate plaster finishes. Inspect your coping and grout for cracks caused by seasonal temperature shifts. If you notice bubbling liners or premature equipment corrosion from the coastal salt air, contact a local professional to correct the underlying issues.

Helpful?

For pool and spa service, select materials that resist the coastal salt air and high humidity of Chesapeake. Use non-porous, slip-resistant decking to prevent mold from summer rains. Choose algae-resistant interior finishes to combat aggressive algae growth during warm months. Ensure all plumbing and equipment feature adequate freeze protection to withstand occasional winter drops. A professional will specify components rated for these exact environmental demands.

Helpful?

The hot, humid summers in VA accelerate water evaporation and algae growth, requiring robust filtration systems. During hurricane season, your pool construction and installation must include secure equipment anchoring and excellent drainage to handle rapid rainfall. Schedule concrete work between March and May to avoid sudden winter freezes that disrupt curing. Additionally, intense mid-Atlantic sun exposure demands UV-resistant surface coatings and stabilized chlorine to keep your water safe and clean.

Helpful?

Build a seasonal routine for your pool construction and installation by inspecting the shell and decking for winter freeze damage every spring. During the summer, test your water chemistry weekly to combat high humidity. In the fall, clear all storm debris and secure a durable cover to withstand powerful coastal winds. Throughout the winter in VA, monitor drainage areas to ensure heavy rainfall flows away from the pool structure.
