"It went great. This is the first time I ever tried virtual repair services. Once I booked the appointment and told them the general problem and the model number of my refrigerator, they sent me a confirmation email along with a link to the app that is used for you and the technician to connect. Also, they sent a list of items that I might need for diagnosis and repair. I found the technician to be extremely knowledgeable. He knew the components of the ice maker like the back of his hand and was able to tell me what to do to remove it as well as to take it apart to look at some of the internal parts to determine what had happened. He understood and was able to explain how it works so I learned a lot about how ice makers work and why certain problems that I have had with this one might occur. In my case, the ice maker was getting stuck in the fill position which was causing water to flood my refrigerator and kitchen. Its unclear why exactly it got stuck, because there didn't appear to be any burn out in the motor, but this model is 17 years old so the best bet is to simply replace it. I feel confident now that I can replace it without assistance. I would definitely do this again. Harmond was great and being able to schedule something the same day as well as learn a little about how to service myself was well worth the money and much less expensive than waiting for a service technician to show up to my home.
