Needed to replace a 25+ year old HVAC system in the coldest months of the year, so I contacted Advanced Environment Solutions for a bid. I worked with Tammy at AES to schedule the inspection, follow-up, etc. - a fantastic employee. Courteous, professional, and really knows her stuff when it comes to HVAC. Unfortunately, I live in a condo with a tricky indoor/outdoor HVAC set-up that ended up requiring a fairly specific indoor unit that AES did not offer, so I had to go with another company. Still I felt compelled to leave a review for AES and Tammy to highlight their professionalism and service-oriented approach. WiIll absolutely consider AES for future projects.

Our AC died last week and the first company provided us 3 replacement options. We selected the middle option ($16,000) and signed the contract, which provided us a 5 day cancellation period. Installation was scheduled for Friday. I solicited other companies quotes using the estimate provided by the first company and all declined stating I needed to schedule an appointment for someone to come out to take measurements, etc. Our inside temperature was 98 degrees. Advanced Environment Solutions provided us an unbinding estimate of $9,600. a better warranty and immediately dispatched a technician to take measurements and install a portable AC unit until the new one could be installed. Our unit was installed Friday. What a bunch of professionals! The team arrived at 6:30 am and were done by 11:00 am. To our surprise, we received a fruit basket from Advanced Enviroment Solutions the following day thanking us for selecting them! Who does is anymore? Hey competitors... Who can top Advanced Environment Solutions??? Need your system serviced or replaced? Advanced Environment Solutions gets our vote!

I have been using Advanced Environmental Solutions for over 18 years. Initially I had them take care of routine maintenance and repairs of my HVAC system. In 2018 I did over a $200,000 complete home renovation. I called upon AES to completely redo my single home HVAC to a 3-system installation. I also had them take care of upgrading my electrical panel and installing a new subpanel to support my new professional kitchen. Prior to doing the work, the team came to my house and did a complete survey of what would be required. Once done - John Davis came to my home and explained what they found, their recommendation and the best options and costs associated with my options. Once we get the right mix agreed upon, they set-up a schedule to do the work ensuring that we were not in anyway inconvenienced. We were thrilled with the work and professionalism of the team. My daughter decided to completely gut their home in 2018 and we called upon AES to take care of their home like ours. If you are looking for the finest in professionalism for HVAC and electrical work - and want to be treated like a member of the family and not an end point dollar - then I highly recommend AES. I have been recommending them forever and will continue to do so!!

Unlike another provider whom I did not hire, arrived exactly on time for the site survey. Worksite in Spotslyvania, VA, and I live in Arnold, MD, so about a 2 hr drive for me. Had a firm proposal within 24 hours, install was scheduled that day. On install day, technician arrived exactly on time, following all COVID precautions. Work was completed in slightly less time than he projected. Quality of the work was first rate. Left the house and area surrounding the work - install new heat pump outdoor unit and indoor unit in attic - cleaner than when they started. All three technicians who worked the project were just terrific. Friendly, respectful of the property, very informative. They made sure I understood the improvements they'd made to the ancillary portions of the system (e.g. drain pan and condensate drains from the attic), and worked through the new thermostat details as well. Everyone I'm came in contact with from Advanced Environment Solutions was professional, responsive and were truly interested in making sure I got what I needed. There is one other reason why I would implicitly trust these folks. When the president of the company (John Smith) came out to do the estimate, he carefully explained the various levels of the systems that would match the house. He did NOT try to "upsell" me on a system that was more expensive than the property warranted. He carefully explained the technical benefits of proposed upgrades to the drain systems and the need to install a path from the attic entrance to the interior unit for safety (agreed immediately). I'm a licensed mechanical engineer, and his explanations were complete and accurate. In sum, a highly professional company, exacting standards of technical performance, they listen to their customers and their integrity is unmatched.

Our retail shop’s window Air Conditioning unit (34,000 BTU) broke and AES was contracted to replace it. They promptly installed a 24,000 BTU AC unit which unfortunately could only cool the shop to 78 – 80 degrees on a hot day. This is much worse than the previous AC unit and is not a sufficient solution. I contacted the company and explained the situation to the desk person. She said the service person would visit the shop but called back and said he could not make it but would reschedule. When I called back a couple days later I was told that the service people would not call me back at all. The desk person suggested I email the owner which I did but did not get a response. They may be OK if everything goes well but you are on your own if something doesn’t work right. Now I need to fix what they didn’t do right from the start which will cost extra money.

Best HVAC company ever! 

They went above and beyond to fix repairs right away.  Came out rather quickly and stayed as long as it took to figure out the problem.  Their customer service is all around excellent!  I originally called at 4:00 am in the morning and got an actual human voice who respectfully listened to me and was ready to help.  Promises were always kept on calling me back and calling to let me know the tech was on his way including an email was sent as well!  The tech's are extremely knowledgeable/experienced!  Pride is taken in their work in making sure the problem is fixed RIGHT, not just assuming.  They are all very pleasant to deal with in every aspect.  I highly recommend them and will never call another HVAC company again.

Excellent service. We have had both Kevin and John out to service one of our units. Both have been extremely professional, helpful and fair. Kat in the office is a great help, too. I had forgotten to respond to her message before the office closed (something came up in the family) and she called me back to offer to help. Most people on a Friday night are rushing to get out and won't take the extra time to follow-up like that. She also helped a friend of mine (not an Angie's List subscriber or she would leave a review) arrange emergency service and she and John spent 15 minutes on the phone with her answering her questions. Very impressed by this considering she was not a client (yet) at the time. THAT is how you run a business. A lot of companies out there could learn from them.

The service provided by AES was fantastic. they were very responsive and arrived on time. the service thy provided was very through and once they diagnosed the problem with my Heating unit they walked me through all the options and cost with me. They located the part I needed for the repair that same day and came back out the next day to install it. they again arrived on time and even when they discovered another part that was damaged outside of the initial estimate they went back to the shop to get it and installed it free of charge. after all repairs were made they a gained tested the unit and everything ran great. I could not be more pleased with the service I received from AES after bad experiences with two other businesses before them. I would definitely recommend them to others and use them again if the need arises.

5 Star Service!!!  We had called AES up early in the morning when we woke up with no heat.  They were at our house within 1 hour.  They diagnosed the problem and had the parts in stock.  They replaced the circuit board and blower.  My family had heat again!   We will always use AES for heating, air-conditioning, and plumbing problems.  I would recommend them to friends, family, and neighbors.

Overall everything went very well. The work was done on a 1903 Dupont Circle townhouse which automatically present many obstacles that that do not apply to apartments or homes in the suburbs such as parking, traffic, unique structural quirks, etc.  Due to our city location it was decided that work would begin at 6am to dismantle existing AC unit on the roof as well as the furnace in our 4 ft high attic crawl space and have a crane lower the new unit on our roof by 7am in order not to obstruct the one way traffic on my street. I was honestly shocked to see the technician waiting outside my house at 5:45AM. Unfortunately the crane that AES contracted to arrive at 7am did not arrive until 10am but they were able to negotiate the tall trees on the street and complete their job in 30 minutes. Had we known the crane would not arrive until 10am we all could have slept in a couple more hours sleep, but thats life.  In order to have access to the attic crawl space, and install the new furnace and remove the old one the existing ceiling panel had to be removed and the workers had to manually enlarge the hole in the ceiling. This was unfortunate but necessary. The workers to care to put up plastic up to minimize the mess. NOTE: Per contract I knew that AES was not responsible for repairing the ceiling. I had to pay a carpenter $300. to sheet rock and paint ceiling damage at completion of job. AES worked from 6am until 7pm on day 1 and returned on day 2 to complete the job. All AES employees that I came in contact with - including John Smith, the president who came by on day 2 to check on the job - were nothing but professional and polite. Workers even offered to wear paper booties in the house to minimize construction dust which was appreciated but not necessary.  I would be comfortable in recommending AES to anyone.

They did a great job and they followed up when there was an issue with one of the things they installed. They worked hard to get a replacement part and get it taken care of. They were very friendly and informative. They answered my questions and were very committed to helping us get it fixed even though it fell over a weekend so they were working on the weekend to get it done. They were very polite and on time. I felt completely safe with them in our house because of their demeanor and the way they talked to me and looked at me. They were very nice to my kids who had questions about what they were doing. So far the quality has been great. The only issue was there was a little difference with their estimate and what they actually put in. It wasn't really clear if it was exactly what they proposed to put in. I think it was of equal quality but it wasn't exactly what they told us they were going to install. It was a little strange because they actually bought another company and that company did the estimate but they did the install. There was a slight disconnect between the two companies and we were happy with what we got. I don't think there would have been an issue if we had wanted to address it. I would definitely use them in the future.

This company is run very professionally. Everything ran like clockwork and I was not the least bit stressed out. I called Doug from work in the afternoon and he came over a couple hours later that evening. He ordered me a unit and it was completely installed a few days later. The installers were trustworthy, professional and could not have been nicer. The service was impeccable; very prompt, fairly priced and thorough. It was a pleasure to deal with this company. I will be using them for all of my heating and air service from now on. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to any friend of mine. I highly recommend them!
