"Bill is a very experienced bathroom remodel person. He used the best parts available and happily explained to us all of the work as it progressed. He explained our options and accepted our choices readily. He kept the project on track and explained any delays that came up. We are very happy with the results of his work. "KDK is a family owned local company that is totally devoted to excellence. Dave and his team were amazing and made sure that we understood what was happening every step of the way. This was a full master bathroom remodel beginning demolition to remove everything down to the bones. Dave assisted with selecting all of the required supplies - tile, vanities, tub, toilet, lights, mirrors etc but all decisions were ours to make. We used Dave’s network of suppliers for the additional work required. We needed an electrician (MRS Solutions) since we opted for a heated floor and also a separate contractor (Brown’s Glass Shop) to install the glass shower. Everyone recommended by Dave was top notch and I will use them again for any projects that requires their expertise. To sum it up, we could not have asked for a better experience and to top it off Dave and his team are extremely friendly and personable, our dogs would welcome them back each day. Highly recommend and we will hire again."

"Tony remodeled my screened-in porch to a three-season porch and he did an outstanding job beating all the sunporch people in the area for pricing. I would recommend him before anyone else in the area!"

Kitchen and Bathroom Remodel questions, answered by experts

The average cost to convert a tub to a shower is around $3,000, but prices can range from $1,000 to as high as $15,000. A more typical range is between $1,200 and $8,000. The final cost depends on several factors, including the amount of plumbing work required, the size of the shower, and the type of materials and fixtures chosen. A prefabricated shower stall is a more budget-friendly option, while a custom shower with features like luxury tiles, unique tiling, smart technology, or accessibility features will be at the higher end of the cost spectrum.

Depending on the type of renovations needed, the cost to build an ADA bathroom ranges between $700 and $8,050. On average, most homeowners pay around $4,375 for this remodel. This type of remodeling requires following strict ADA accessibility guidelines to ensure a universal design.

Undertaking a bathroom demolition might seem achievable for a DIY enthusiast, but it's a substantial endeavor that works up a sweat. Before diving into the teardown, it is essential to acknowledge the associated risks and complete the necessary preparations, including permits and a plan for waste management. From gathering the right tools to ensuring utility shut-off, these measures are vital to a successful outcome and mitigating potential pitfalls.

The typical mobile home renovation costs around $20,000, with a normal range of $10,000 to $20,000 for a single-wide and $15,000 to $30,000 for a double-wide. Your total will depend on a bunch of factors, including the quality of materials you use (for things like the cost of new mobile home flooring and plumbing fixtures), how much your contractor charges, and the size of your mobile home. The extent of the remodel matters as well. If you’re doing a full gut renovation, you can expect to add between $10,000 and $20,000 to your base price.

Yes, you can put wallpaper in a bathroom, but whether it's a good idea depends on several factors. Because bathrooms are high-humidity areas, it's crucial to choose a water-resistant wallpaper, such as one made of vinyl. Proper wall preparation is also critical to ensure the paper adheres well, even after many steamy showers. The wallpaper's placement also affects its longevity; it will hold up better on an accent wall or away from direct water contact, rather than immediately next to a shower. A well-ventilated bathroom will yield the best results.
