We interviewed 4 different builders in our area before ultimately choosing DBI for several reasons: First, DBI was able to provide the TimberTech composite boards and railings we preferred; second, they offered the most reasonable pricing for our project; and third, we were impressed with their level of expertise and decades of experience. DBI completed our project within budget and the quality of their workmanship is outstanding. If you are looking for an honest, skilled builder, we highly recommend Deck Builders, Inc!"

"DO NOT use this company. I went through Lowes to have a composite deck built. Working with them was an absolute nightmare. It took them 3 months to even START the job. I discovered the reason for the delay is because when they filed the permit (which took them 6 weeks to do), the contractor's license was expired. It then took them another 5 weeks to update their license in order to get the permit. They ordered and installed a completely differently railing style than what was on the contract/design, then blamed me for the mistake. Rather than ordering a new product, they cut the existing one to make it work. I am now 9 months post project, and the railing has warped, the deck is sloped, and the overall quality is horrible. Worst of all, turns out they NEVER GOT IT INSPECTED! I learned that Lowes had to fire them due to MULTIPLE issues with the company. I am thankful I have Lowes to help rectify the issues, but if i didn't, I would be pursuing legal action against them!"

"We had a great experience with Steadfast. Before choosing them for our deck and screened in porch project we met with approximately 10 different companies. Steadfast stood out from the crowd, and while they weren’t the cheapest (or highest!) we couldn’t be happier with our choice. James did an excellent job not only working with us to understand what we wanted, especially with an ask related to an ADA compliant ramp in a tight space, but also communicating promptly and thoroughly, asking for clarification and stopping by for in person meetings when I wasn’t quite able to cover what I wanted with words and pictures. He also offered great design suggestions and helped us figure out how to get the most value for our dollar. James also coordinated with the siding company we were working with, including resolving a communications breakdown resulting in a design issue. We’d work with Steadfast any time!"

"It has now been 7 months since we hired C&C. It took them 5 months to create a plan and diagrams. We then proceeded, based on their direction, to get HOA and county approvals. We did not receive the approvals, they have started NO WORK, but refuse to return our $76K deposit that was my elderly parents only savings. We are now in legal suit with the builder. I would not recommend this builder as they make promises they can?t keep and are never responsive by email, phone or text. "
