"DO NOT use this company. I went through Lowes to have a composite deck built. Working with them was an absolute nightmare. It took them 3 months to even START the job. I discovered the reason for the delay is because when they filed the permit (which took them 6 weeks to do), the contractor's license was expired. It then took them another 5 weeks to update their license in order to get the permit. They ordered and installed a completely differently railing style than what was on the contract/design, then blamed me for the mistake. Rather than ordering a new product, they cut the existing one to make it work. I am now 9 months post project, and the railing has warped, the deck is sloped, and the overall quality is horrible. Worst of all, turns out they NEVER GOT IT INSPECTED! I learned that Lowes had to fire them due to MULTIPLE issues with the company. I am thankful I have Lowes to help rectify the issues, but if i didn't, I would be pursuing legal action against them!"

"If I could give this company a 6 out of 5 stars I would! They did a fantastic job overhauling my mother's deck, back patio, fencing, and front portico. All of the work was absolutely essential for safety and structural reasons, and I'm so glad I chose OSSA to do the work. My mother has Alzheimer's, which presented additional issues, but the entire crew was incredibly kind, respectful, and understanding of the unique challenges they faced. They were responsive and kept me aware of everything regarding the job along the way. My mother is so pleased, and I have the peace of mind that all of her outdoor space is safe, beautiful, and accessible. I will be hiring OSSA to do some work in my own home, as I look to make necessary improvements in the future. I've told everyone I know how how wonderful they are. 6 out of 5 stars!"

"4 years ago, we hired A&L to build a screened in porch in the middle portion of our existing deck, and their work was exceptional. The porch came out fantastic and our experience working with A&L was the best contractor experience we have had. This Fall, we decided the rest of the deck needed to be torn down and replaced, so we only made one phone call- to A&L. Once again, the workmanship was fantastic. Earl, the builder, is a craftsman at the top of his game and is someone who takes great pride in his work. Earl takes no shortcuts at all and will not leave the job until it is built to perfection. Earl told us he would arrive by 8 am every morning, and sure enough, by 7:55, he was on site. He would tell me what he planned to accomplish that day and he would always get the work done. We ended up doubling the size of our deck and we could not be happier with it and we know we are likely to never work with a contractor this good again, they are very rare. Keith Ardinger was a pleasure to work with during the planning stage of the deck and patiently went over all our options with us. If I had one suggestion to make, it would be to get your electrical (lighting, etc.) done during the deck building process, even if it delays the deck building. A&L only builds the decks and porches, but they have contacts to do electrical and patio work if you need them. We waited until after our project was done to go back and do the electrical and it became a bit of a pain. Again, you will not go wrong with A&L, they will build you something you can be very proud of."

"HD Exteriors replaced our 20 year-old wood deck with a beautiful new Trex deck in April. We had gotten 4 presentations from companies based on contacts we got from the Capital Home Show, and HD Exteriors was head and shoulders above all the others in design, detail, cost, and communication. Graham Jr., was our point of contact in setting our contract, and he was friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and clear. He listened to what we wanted to do, offered suggestions and didn’t try to upsell us. We were given a start timeframe, but our actual start date was earlier, which we appreciated. Throughout the entire process of signing the contract, having questions answered, being assigned a project manager, (Jai, who was always accessible and awesome) and the actual work being done, the communication was excellent. We were notified when workers would be onsite, when inspections were scheduled, when walk-thrus were done, and had access via text to our PM. All of it was extremely well done. The deck was finished with excellent workmanship, even when they installed a style of steps they’d never done before. We can’t say enough positive things about the entire company and how they operated. They were a pleasure to work with. We’re just sorry we don’t have anything else for them to build!"

"I submitted an estimate request through their website. Received a reply from Robert that they are "scheduling new construction into July", which was fine. Then he asked for "dimensions or approximate square footage" of the patio, which I provided, along with the pictures of the area. I also specifically mentioned the material (concrete): "I'd probably want a concrete leveled with the concrete slab that is already there". Robert replied: "Thank you for the clarification – that is very helpful" and states that they schedule estimates for 3 weeks away - no problem, I made an appointment between 10-11 AM. On the date of appointment Robert emails at 9:50 AM to tell me that appointment needs to be rescheduled due “Due to the expected weather today”. It was raining in the early morning, but stopped at the time of our appointment (mind you, I had other contractors keeping appointments in the rain). He offers to provide “ballpark costs for the patio you want and compare the paver vs. Flagstone cost”. Why would I want “ballpark” estimate after waiting for him to come for 3 weeks and also after I had made it clear that I wanted all concrete patio? I replied that I wanted to have the real estimate for all-concrete patio, which would require his visit. And then Robert drops the final bomb on me: “We unfortunately do not install concrete patios – only paver or Flagstone”. I understand they have more business than they can handle now and can be picky with the jobs they take on. My project, obviously, was not big enough for them, but they knew the scope of my project and still refused to even show up for an estimate. Everyone of their competitors that I contacted at least kept their appointments and had been professional."

"Had an upper and lower deck installed off of the back door. While getting estimates, Nick (Steadfast) was the only company to show up with trex samples. I live out of state and had tenants in the home and they worked on my preferred schedule. Took 5 days as promised. Easy to work with and very happy with the outcome."

"I would recommend the Acclaim crew in a heartbeat for high value work from trustworthy, kind people. They did an absolutely fabulous job on our deck, at a fair price. The crew are real craftsmen with a proactive eye for detail and aesthetics. They had to deal with significant challenges along the way... and they got through it all, cheerfully and collaboratively despite one of the most challenging jobsites I am sure they have ever had to deal with. Toney and Rey were great partners to us, helping us make decisions and navigate these challenges, and working flexibly with us when we realized we needed to change the plan a bit. Any issues we spotted were quickly addressed. They went above and beyond on several occasions, adding thoughtful small upgrades and solutions for long term maintenance. They were careful to leave us happy and proud of our new deck and have been responsive with a few small warranty fixes too. I am proud of the deck and proud of them for their excellent work."
