"Very knowledgeable and professional ! Jerel helped me understand the process and the fog treatment has helped to minimize my allergic responses in my office. We just need to advise the owner of the building so he will fog the entire workplace ! Mold is nothing to mess around with. It is a very long healing process and Jerel can help make things better so you don't keep getting sicker from it."

Small jobs welcome

"I am so grateful for Asset Environmental Services! We purchased a new home at the end of June and I couldn’t understand why I kept getting sick. The house was pristine when we made the purchase, and with all new flooring. Concluding that it must be mold I contacted AES. Ben was wonderful! He answered a ton of my paranoid questions on mold and gave me a few different options to resolve the issue - things I didn’t even realize were options! He then explained that if the previous owners had pets, that could also be the problem, and if so he had ways to help me for that as well. He was also patient as I worked with my home owners insurance to check for leaks, and gave me tips on ensuring that no matter what route we went, whether we worked with AES or not, our family was taken care of. About a week after my first contact with AES they came out and did a test. The two guys that arrived were awesome! Super knowledgeable!!! We talked about where we experienced the most issues and figured out the best places to test. I was grateful that they were so willing to work with us and understand the situation. Anyhow tests came back the next day and nothing! We had no mold, which meant it was indeed the previous owners plethora of pets. The guys came back the next week and cleaned the ducts and we’ve been healthy since!!! I was so impressed and grateful!!! I give AES my highest recommendation and plan always to use them going forward!!!! Thanks AES for making our house actually a livable place to call home!!!"

"Tyler Jolley with Jolley Pros is absolutely amazing. He is kind, personable, caring, thorough, and honest. I called Tyler because when I was researching contractors that knew about water damage, Tyler was the only one with over 20+ years of experience, and of the reviews I read, it seemed he really knew his stuff. He worked with us last summer and made sure everything was correct and fixed after we discovered that the house builder, 12 years previous, had made some mistakes causing slow water damage to the front of our house. Recrntly, we found water in another portion of the house, and called Tyler again immediately, without hesitation. He came out, helped us figure out what was wrong, where it from, and verified that there was not further wood or mold damage. I have referred others to him, and will only ever call him if I ever need help with repairs or restoration! Thank you Tyler for all of your help!!!"

Mold Testing and Remediation questions, answered by experts

It’s worth it to get mold remediation as soon as you discover a mold in your home. Mold is a fungus that can be hazardous to your health and cause damage to your home and its belongings. Mold testing and inspections are the best way to know if you have a mold issue in your house. Once detected, call a professional mold remediation company immediately to get it taken care of.

The answer to whether it’s safe to use a moldy dishwasher is: It depends. Mold exposure affects people differently. It’s possible that even a small amount of mold in your dishwasher could contribute to respiratory issues and other health problems, especially if you have an underlying health condition. Mold is capable of surviving the high heat and detergent used in a dishwasher cycle, so it’s important to ensure that you act quickly at the first sign of mold, or contact a house cleaner near you to stay on top of any potential mold problems.

A mold inspection costs an average of $660, with a typical range between $300 and $1,025. However, costs can be as low as $150 or as high as $2,800 depending on several factors. These include the size of your home, the type of mold, the extent and accessibility of the affected area, your location, and the number and type of samples required. Hard-to-reach areas like air ducts, crawl spaces, and wall cavities can increase the cost. Specific tests have different prices; for example, swab testing typically costs $200 to $300 per area, while more extensive air testing can range from $250 to $700. A thorough inspection is crucial for determining the scope of the problem and identifying the best remediation method.

A funky smell is the first indicator that mold or mildew is present in your home. You may also notice that you or your household members are suffering from increased allergies or respiratory issues. You should check the most obvious areas first—like your bathroom or anywhere there might be leaks—and if you still can’t locate the source, look under the floorboards.

Mold in HVAC ducts is a relatively common issue that homeowners struggle with—especially in humid climates or homes with poor ventilation. Moisture from condensation, combined with dust and organic debris, creates the perfect environment for mold growth. Homes with high humidity, leaky ducts, or clogged drains are more prone to this issue. Regular inspections and proper HVAC maintenance significantly reduce the risk of mold developing in your ducts.
