"Billy was great. He was quick and efficient, but I noticed him taking his time to ensure the work was the highest quality it could. A few of my windows were very dirty and still had construction grime stuck to them. I was able to talk with Billy and have a great conversation. I felt that Billy cared about what he was doing for me and my family. I will refer Billy to all my friends, and use him anytime I can."

"Class act for over 25 years Ryan and the Pro Tint staff have worked on 5-6 of my cars over the past 25 years. Their expertise and professionalism brings me back every time. With in the past week, while traveling to Utah from Denver where I currently reside. I had Pro Tint work on my new VW wagon, doing both window tinting and clear bra for excellent vehicle protection. Window tint for heat reflecting and clear bra for rock, road debris etc... I am sure Denver has a quality windowing tinting business however, I would and will travel to Utah to have Pro Tint work on my vehicles. When you find a business that exceeds expectations, you tend to go out of your way to for that service. To Ryan and staff, huge thank you again for all that you do and look forward to have you all work on future cars for me. Professionalism, expertise and quality workmanship. Go to Pro Tint!"

"Savana has been such an amazing person to talk to and receive information from about windows. We never knew there was so much that goes into a window and itâ s install and she gave us all her knowledge. We werenâ t sure if we wanted new windows yet but she made us feel so much better about getting them sooner. She has honestly been such an awesome person to talk to and spend 5 hours with! It wasnâ t all just about windows and bathtubs we got to know her and her company. Weâ re excited to have new windows for the winter and not learn what winter is like with 90 year old windows. And weâ re even more excited to be able to open our windows without them being painted shut!"

Windows questions, answered by experts

Installing glass block windows has benefits and disadvantages, as with most materials. The pros and cons can vary depending on the type of glass block and the window location.

Pros

  • Maintains privacy while letting light into the bathroom

  • Energy efficient

  • Sealed to prevent drafts

  • Aesthetically pleasing

  • Strong and secure

Cons

  • Costly to install

  • Challenging installation

  • Challenging repair

If you decide to forgo your old windows and upgrade them to modern day technology, there may be some people interested in the old windows. You can try selling them on an online marketplace for around $50 to $100 each (so long as the window wasn’t damaged during the removal). This can also help off set the overall price to replace them.

Yes. Thermal pane windows can be customized to fit a variety of different window sizes and dimensions. A contractor or manufacturer can usually offer custom sizing options based on your specific window requirements. You should consult with professionals who can assess your needs and provide the appropriate custom window solutions for your home.

During hurricanes or other major storms, high winds can cause objects and debris to fly through the air, which can break your windows. Depending on how strong the storm is, the winds themselves may be strong enough to break your windows, too. Investing in storm windows or hurricane shutters can help protect you against potential window breakage.

If you live in a colder region, consider installing double- or triple-pane windows with low-E coatings, which can trap heat and keep your house warm. In hot areas, windows with reflective coatings and insulated frames help keep cooling costs down. If you experience a lot of extreme weather, then impact-resistant glass might be a worthwhile investment.
