"Hired a professional to install 2 hand rails for my parents. One was installed on the front porch brick steps and one on the back porch brick steps. They arrived on time, installed both handrails quickly and safely. Handrails are sturdy, and now my parents lives are that much safer. Would recommend."

"Tech arrived on time, was very helpful with Install. However, I was told he would install 2 Smoke Alarms and only one was installed. But overall Tech did a professional job."

"Gabe, our installer called the day before to introduce himself and to let us know what time he would be arriving the next day. Gabe arrived on time and installed the whole house water softener and filtration unit. Gabe did a wonderful job on the install and explained everything to us, there were no issues whatsoever. Gabe and Superior Water and Air Inc both get 5+ stars! Thanks Gabe!!"

"They showed up before I arrived and had the old swamp cooler almost dismantled! Fearless on my steep roof! The replacement was done before 11 AM!! They cleaned up everything and left the place looking better than they found it! Very impressed with the whole company, Chris made the bid and told me all the ins and outs of the process. They started the next day! Oh my, am I happy! What a great experience!"

"Our furnace went out at the beginning of winter. We originally called the company that installed the furnace in our home. They were difficult to get ahold of, and we had to wait days for someone to come out and see what was wrong. They scheduled a repair for a few days later. When the repairman came he then told us he wouldn’t be able to fix it and scheduled us for a new furnace installation.. 2 weeks later. That ment my wife postpartum with my newborn were going to be stuck in a house with no heat for a total of 4 weeks. We then got into contact with James and his team. James came out that day to discuss options, and were able to get us scheduled for a new install the next day! This was hands down the best experience I have ever had with a home repair. The installers did an amazing job and are definitely exceptional at what they do! The customer service that this company showed is a quality unseen today. I can’t put into 900 characters how great they are! Before and after photos!"

"Thoroughly positive experience! Our fully certified electrician always arrived on schedule, equipped and prepared for each task from rough-in to finish installation and charging of the system. TLC uses high quality components and the latest technology, including can less ceiling lights that provide warm, natural lighting. Price was most competitive. Overall, TLC rates 10 out of 10 on every measure!!!"

Video surveillance monitoring: $40–$65 per month

Yes, you should get a quote or an estimate from an electrician. Most electricians offer free estimates or quotes. When getting quotes, do your research and verify each electrician’s license. Get quotes from three different electricians to compare. If the prices or items listed appear different on the quotes, ask the electrician to clarify. Learning as much as you can about the electrical work you want done will help you get the most accurate estimate.
Yes, a home security system can be worth it for your peace of mind alone, but it can also save you up to 20% on your home insurance. The insurance savings will help defray the initial setup costs and subscription costs over time. Locations with higher crime rates also make home security systems a valuable investment, but it ultimately depends on your personal preferences and asset values.
Yes, most states require HVAC technicians to be certified, and for good reason. Hiring an unlicensed HVAC technician could lead to poor quality work, costly future expenses, and potential code violations.
As you browse our pro listings, take note of the “Angi Approved” badge. Angi Approved businesses meet our standards for certification which include:
The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check
Required to have applicable state and local licenses
Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review
Paying to advertise their services
Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi
Keep in mind licensing is different from certifications. A license is a legal requirement to operate a business, while certifications are voluntary.
Qualified, licensed electricians will charge from $50 to $100 per hour. The cost to hire an electrician for emergency visits may range from $100 to $200 per hour because this urgent service usually takes place during off hours and may require an electrician to leave or reschedule jobs they’re currently working on. Scheduling work on holidays or during periods of high customer demand, like after a major storm, will also lead to higher rates or extra fees.
