"The technicians showed up on time and performed very thorough checks of our home air conditioning systems. The performed some tasks that not all technicians would do, such as cleaning the coil and clearing the drain lines. They made a point to where shoe protectors, so as to keep from damaging our floors. Both technicians were polite and agreeable, despite the fact that it was late in the day and quite warm."

"Our backyard was a real mess after our poll install. We call Oscar and his team after we saw their trucks in the neighborhood. We called Forever Green 2, because were impressed by the work they done for some neighbors. From the signing of the service contract to the finish, Oscar kept us informed and knowing exactly what to expect. Oscar and his crew went right to work! They were always prompt, professional and very polite! A well-run company, they even had the heavy equipment for the greatest of jobs! The results were always beyond our expectations and the job was done quickly. No job too large or small for this gray bunch of guys! We are definitely going to call Forever Green 2 Landscaping for our future projects!!!"

Storm Drain Installation questions, answered by experts

Yes, installing or replacing a storm door is a manageable DIY project, especially for those with experience replacing regular doors. Many modern storm doors feature simple, pre-hung designs and come with the necessary hardware, making installation more convenient. With basic tools, a DIY installation is possible, though professional services can ensure proper alignment and weatherproofing. On average, installing a pre-hung storm door takes about four hours.

Some storm doors might need two closers, depending on the weather conditions in the area. For example, if it’s particularly windy where you live, installing two storm door closers (instead of one) can prevent your door from slamming shut when it’s propped open. You can place one at the top of your door and another at the bottom.

You do not have to purchase a storm door if you have a fiberglass door. Fiberglass doors offer numerous advantages, including durability and the ability to stand up to harsh conditions such as low or high temperatures. Fiberglass doors also have excellent insulation properties, so you don’t have to add on a storm door if you’re looking for better temperature regulation inside your home.

The time to install a storm door varies based on who is doing the work and the complexity of the job. Professional installation typically takes a few hours, often between 1 to 2 hours, ensuring a perfect fit. For a DIY project with a standard, pre-hung storm door, you can expect it to take about 3 to 5 hours. However, if the door opening needs to be expanded or significant frame adjustments are required, the installation could take more than a day, in which case hiring a professional is recommended.

A storm door should be the same size as the front door. Both doors will fit into the same opening on the exterior of the home, so you can expect the storm door to be the same size as the front door. Most doors will be about 32 or 36 inches wide and 75 or 81 inches tall, although you can customize your door sizes.
