I had a horrific experience with Reliant Plumbing Service. On 6/24/2025, I was at their mercy to accept a $495.29 quote to install a brand-new Moen shower cartridge I provided, due to a water shutoff leaving me no choice. It started with aggressive upselling?they pushed a $1,800 valve body replacement I didn?t need. The installation was a disaster: the technician hammered it in, admitting he shouldn?t, used spit as lubricant, refused my proper lubricant, and borrowed my needle-nose pliers. He ruined my new cartridge, which failed after two showers, leaving me with no water. I stopped the leak myself, but the shower remains unusable. Another plumber is fixing it for $150.00, and I later found out I was way overcharged?Reliant?s $495.29 ($661/hour) dwarfs the $80-$180 industry standard. It?s been 21 days since the job, and they ignored my 14-day warranty notice.Reliant?s ethics are nonexistent, violating Texas Plumbing License Law (Texas Occupations Code §1301.351).

We had a clogged and constantly running toilet, and Eric was able to fix it quickly. He was very polite, explained what was wrong, and made sure everything was working perfectly before he left.

VERY POORLY AND HIGHLY UNSATISFIED AND UNPROFESSIONAL. FISRT RED FLAG: ON DAY ONE THE RELIANT-WORKER-FOREST CLAIMED HE WAS DIGGING FOR 3 HOURS AND MY ADT CAMERA SHOWED LESS THAN AN HOUR! HE LIED!! SECOND RED FLAG: AND THEY SPENT MORE TIME WORKING ON THE CURB WHERE MY SPRINKLER SYSTEM IS AND I TOLD THE RELIANT MGR {MATT AND FABIO) MANY TIMES I HAD AN INSPECTOR FROM SAWS {SanAntonioWaterSystem} TOLD ME MY SPRINKLER SYSTEM AND THE CUT OFF SWITCH WAS NOT BROKEN OR LEAKING WATER! ITS COMING FROM MY GARDEN IN FRONT OF MY HOUSE! EVEN THE RELIANT*MGR-MATT SHOWED ME RUNNING WATER IN MY FRONT GARDEN! {NOTE:ADT VIDEO RECORDER CAUGHT EVERYTHING} HE EVEN TOLD ME HE WILL REMORE MY SMALL TREE IN MY GARDEN FOR FREE!! AND HE SAID HE WILL GAVE ME A MILITARY DISCOUNT TOO AND YES I HAVE AN ADT VIDEO AND RECORDING HIM SAYING THAT TOO. HE GAVE ME A QUOTE FOR $2800. AND I THOUGHT THATS HIGH TO FIX A LEAK AND HE SAID IT $395. ON THE SAME DAY- HIS WORKERS SHOWED UP LATER IN THE AFTERNOON, {RELIANT WKR.- JASON AND FOREST} I SUGGEST TO THEM -BECAUSE ITS GETTING DARK OUTSIDE HOW CAN YOU SEE THE LEAK- SO COME IN THE MORNING, BUT FOREST REFUSED AND KEEP TELLING ME ABOUT BYPASSING THE WATER LINE INTO MY ATTIC WITH A QUOTE OVER $12,000. I REFUSED!! PLUS... THE RELIANT MGR SAID I HAVE TO HIRE SOMEONE TO FIX THE HOLES THEY PUT IN MY ROOF AND ATTIC. MORE RED FLAGS: FORREST KEEP TRYING TO PERSUADE ME TO AGREE TO THE $12,000. EVEN AFTER I TOLD HIM MANY TIMES- "NO-NO-NO!!!" I REALLY FELT UNCOMFORTABLE ABOUT IT. I TOLD HIM YOU HAVE NOT FOUND THE LEAK AND YOU CUT PART OF MY SMALL TREE AND MY GARDEN BRUSHES AND THREW IT INTO THE NEIGHBORS' YARD!? I FELT THAT WAS SPICEFUL... BECAUSE I DIDNT AGREE WITH THE $12,000. JOB. ALSO... THE RELIANT MGR-MATT SAID TO THE OTHER R*WKR-JASON TO REPLACE THE CASING BECAUSE IT WAS TO SMALL... THUS HE NEVER DID!! NOR DID ANYONE SINCE NOV.22nd,2024 FROM RELIANT HAS CALLED OR CAME BACK TO FINISH THE JOB AND THEY LEFT MY NEIGHBORS YARD IN A BIG MESS AND MOST OF ALL- THEY PUT NO REAL EFFECT TO FIND AND REPAIR THE LEAK AND PUTTING MORE OF AN EFFECT IN CHARGING ME MORE MONEY!! MY BANK CLOSED MY CREDIT CARD ACCOUNT BECAUSE OF UN-AUTHORIZED CHARGES FROM RELIANT WHICH MY MY BANK CALLS IT FRAUDULENT CHARGES!! HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL PRACTICES!! We had a leak in our backyard that 4 other companies couldn't locate. Within 10 minutes of his arrival, Steven identified the leak and within an hour, he provided us with an estimate and fixed the problem. I can't say enough great things about the service he provided along with the company's expediency. I am so grateful! Steven is awesome and a great technician.

Replaced my outdoor faucet quickly that I couldn't budge with my tools. Answered all my other plumbing questions. Price was high, but I've never seen a plumber or electrician charge less than a couple hundred no matter how simple. I have peace of mind though with the year warranty.

Just had a/c system replaced a couple of days before and the employees from that company were more concerned with leaving their work area clean. Price seemed rather high.

Charged $90 to come out and give estimate. Estimate was for two valves to be replaced for my side of the water main at $1280. The estimate did not give a cost break down on total. Job only took hour and half. After looking up the parts, the retail price for two valves was $250. So the remaining balance of $950 went to labor and company overhead. There were two plumbers there. One master plumber and his apprentice. The work done seemed to be high quality work. Showed up on time and were very professional and courteous. After seeing how much I was charged, I sent an email to company. I asked for itemized receipt. They refused. I asked for cost break down. They refused. They stated prices are based of industry standards. It is impossible to determine the industry standards for our area. How does one look that up? Because they charge you for estimate, you are locked into first estimate as you do not wanna inccur other estimate fees from other companies. I asked for manager to call. I had appt for 3pm next day and manager did call at 3pm. After lengthy conversation and explanation of costs, I received a $100 refund which I do not believe is a acceptable amount. I suggest you hire plumbers that can give cost breakdowns and not use industry standards because using industry standards allows companies to charge whatever they want without any recourse for the customer.
