Joseluis really made me feel like a part of his family, like he would take care of my project as if it were his top priority, right from the first day. Every single step in the project he had great communication. The guys he brought with him to work in my house were friendly and didn't mind my questions or "during the process" pictures. They felt like family too. I had no doubts that they were taking good care of my house and doing quality work. As part of my project they were removing three larger kitchen cabinets. Other contractors had told me they wouldn't be able to replace them with smaller versions that match my kitchen because the cabinets are old. I really like the old style of my cabinets so I was disappointed. I was prepared to just not have cabinets in that spot because I didn't want to have to replace my whole kitchen just to match my three cabinets (like other contractors told me to). Joseluis understood and talked to multiple cabinet guys and eventually was able to find someone to custom make cabinets in my old style to match my kitchen. I'm so so pleased with how it all turned out. Every time I would come to him with an idea, he saw my vision and made it work. STOP SEARCHING for other contractors. This team will be your go to guys for any project. I absolutely trust them to do a good job and have already hired them for a completely different project at my house. "This is the second time that I have chosen Anthony Barela, owner of Affordable Renovation Services. This renovation was a dual project: re-siding the home's exterior and completely remodeling the eat-in kitchen. The exterior Hardy siding to include R3 insulation is a true energy saver. All fascia boards were replaced with pressure treated wood prior to re-siding. The detached garage received a new roof, additional joists, and all rotting boards were replaced prior to re-siding. Special credit to the siding team, who worked from dawn to dusk without stopping for 2+ weeks - excellent job! The kitchen project was a complete demo with new floor tile, new patio French doors, doubling the panty size, upper and lower custom cabinets, custom built-in hutch with glass doors, granite counter tops, backsplash, and a dozen little details that are necessary with a kitchen reno. Everyone from plumbers to electricians to carpenters and painters (Ernest is the best in the business!) gave this small eat-in kitchen a fabulous facelift. As with last year's living room reno, if Anthony wasn't onsite, he was only a phone call or text away and responded immediately. ARS' attention to detail resulted in high quality work and a very happy customer. Anthony and his team of professionals were a pleasure to work with - knowledgeable experts in all they do. "We met Felicia from Integrated Outdoor Designs at the San Antonio Home and Garden Show, and they were the first deck builder we scheduled for a consult. Upon meeting with Kyle and seeing the plan he designed for our deck. we contracted with them that day. We were hesitant to build a composite deck because we heard they get very hot in the sun. Kyle explained that the Timbertech decking they use is more heat resistant. Sure enough, I can walk barefoot on the beautiful Timbertech decking in the San Antonio Summer Sun. Mike, the Project Manager, stayed on top of the entire building process, answered all our questions, and kept us apprised of the building status. He made the deck-building experience a pleasant one, and ensured we were satisfied with the finished project. The building crew was hard working, professional, and courteous.
