For 27 years Ultra Services has stood for excellent customer service and quality workmanship. We do what we say we are going to do, when we say we are going do it and for the quoted price. We are committed to making the contractor experience a pleasant one. You may find a better price but you will not find a better value. We have been a Super Service Award winner for 4 years in a row. Call today for a free estimate.

"My home suffered extensive damage when a water line broke on the second floor. I called Ultra Services and three other firms that were highly rated by rating services such as Angi, Google and Yelp to bid on the restoration project. The contrast between Ultra Services and the other three other firms was day and night. Ultra Services came out and took the time to take detailed notes on required work. Then they provided a detailed estimate that gave me a cost breakdown of all individual charges that I could compare to an insurance estimate. They were crystal clear about what was and was not included in their bid. As I learned more about what was needed, they cheerfully revised their estimate with the changes. Other firms simply gave me a final figure with almost no breakdown of costs, leaving me to wonder what specifics were actually included. In all, working with Ultra Services was a very positive experience in an otherwise very stressful time. Just as I was ready to commit to using Ultra Services I discovered that a friend of 20 years owned a company that performed only insurance related restoration claims work, and used the same estimation software that the insurance company used to align estimates and actuals. In the end, I did not engage Ultra Services, but it would be a disservice to not report that the quality of their up-front service is very impressive and highly recommended by me."

Family owned & operated since 1949. Many home services offered, Pest Control, Air Conditioning, Plumbing, Appliance Repair, and Lawn Care, just to name a few.

"We recently had the pleasure of working with Alvin and Nathan on a complete overhaul of our irrigation system, and we couldn’t be more pleased with the results. From start to finish, they demonstrated outstanding professionalism, technical expertise, and a strong attention to detail. They took the time to assess our existing system thoroughly, explained their plan clearly, and were incredibly responsive to our questions throughout the process. The new system they installed is not only more efficient but also much easier to manage, saving us both time and water. Their work was neat, timely, and well-coordinated, and they made sure everything was working perfectly before wrapping up. It's rare to find a team that combines skill with such great customer service. We highly recommend Alvin and Nathan for anyone needing irrigation work—they truly went above and beyond."

A locally-owned natural stone (granite and marble), engineered quartz, and Neolith countertop fabricator and installer.

"We were in the stage of purchase where we delivered a sink to site (11th June) so they could make the correct cuts for a quartz countertop install. The sink was inspected on site by Amy while I was there (my wife and I had inspected it prior to delivering it as well), a 70% payment made for the countertop, and a date for install was set 13 days later. On the day of installation my wife received a call saying the sink had broken and asked what we would like to do. She stated she would call them back after speaking with me. Before we had the chance to call back we received a text message saying they were working on a solution for the sink and to stand by. They then sent an image and link to a sink of similar design and color. We clarified that it was the same color and undermount and then said that we it was fine and we appreciated them finding a solution. The countertop was installed after some unclear back and forth. We were told either around or after the expected arrival time that we would not be able to have it installed that day because they were too far behind schedule. Later that evening (after 6 if I'm not mistaken) the crew showed up to install. They did a fine job. We received an invoice for the remaining 30% of the countertops and surprisingly, also the cost of the replacement sink. Which would mean that we paid for our own sink that they broke AND the replacement sink that they delivered. A text said that we should work on getting a refund for our original sink...the issue being that the sink does not have proper grounds for a refund because it was not broken upon arrival. We paid the remaining amount for the countertops which is what we had originally agreed to. We are now getting phone calls, texts, and emails from Michelle saying it was not inspected that day (11th June) despite me checking the sink and watching Amy inspect it on site. Austin Granite Direct had the sink in their possession for 13 more days prior to being told it became broken. It remained in their possession because the fabricators needed to have the sink for the cuts. Despite paying the best part of $6k to Austin Granite Direct (everything we originally agreed to) they want more money from me to pay for a sink they broke. Michelle also wants to add late fees for the sink. We were pleasant and patient when we were told that the sink had become broken, and again when we were told that installation couldn't happen that day, and again when the installation crew unexpectedly arrived into our evening. I can't help but feel that this is a bit of a scam to get more money from us since we didn't originally purchase a sink from them."

"Rubber Duck Refinishing (RDR) refinished a cultured marble double-sink bathroom countertop that was starting to yellow. RDR did an amazing job, and the result is beautiful! We also asked them to repair a crack in a fiberglass hottub while they were onsite, which they were happy to accommodate and did a great job with. RDR was professional, timely, and friendly. We will definitely hire them again for future refinishing work."

Local family owned & operated. We are a small, family-owned granite fabricator located off of North Lamar at 183 in Austin, Texas. We’ve been in the custom countertop business in Austin since 2006. Despite being small – Toluca Granite is a full-service Austin granite company. We also make counters and tables in marble and from all of the major brands of quartz, including Silestone, Cambria Quartz, Compaq Quartz, Hanstone and Caesarstone.

"Working with Toluca was by far the best experience we had with a service provider during our whole-house remodel. We met with and priced several of their competitors and Toluca was unquestionably the best value. The staff (specifically Alejandra) went above and beyond to make this process and easy as possible and help us find exactly what we wanted. They saved us from running around to various stone yards across central Texas by finding out whether a supplier had the stone we were interested in and pricing it for us in advance. In many instances, they were even able to get us photos of the slabs to make sure it was worth making a trip to the stone yard. We also had several unexpected delays (as happens with many remodels) and they were so patient with us. They were always on-time and in most cases, arrived early! They were clean, efficient, and professional. Our counter-tops were beautifully cut and are one of our favorite parts of our home. I cannot recommend Toluca enough and wouldn't waste my time calling any other fabricator should I ever need these services in the future."

At this time we have two employees, which include our office manager. We do most of the work ourselves. As a Contractor subs are needed at times in different areas. We provide free estimates on work, and provide a written proposal. We do work time and materials, $75.00 service call, then $70.00 an hour for the lead person, $35.00 an hour for any additional people. In the event of emergency calls in the evening or on weekends we charge a $150 service call and $100 a hour for labor.

Countertops and Backsplashes questions, answered by experts

Granite countertops can last for 100 years or more with proper maintenance, even in high-traffic areas like kitchens and bathrooms. Granite can crack, stain, or fade over time, like any countertop material, but it’s a highly durable option that should offer a lifetime of use. Some ways to increase the longevity of granite countertops include regularly cleaning the surface, especially after spills, avoiding sharp objects directly on the countertop, and resealing the material every few years.

In most cases, updating your kitchen and bathroom countertops will improve your property value, especially if your old countertops are chipped or stained or if you’re upgrading from a low-end material like laminate to a high-end material like granite. Updates to kitchens and bathrooms often have the most significant impact on a buyer’s opinion of your property and the overall appearance, so the price you’ll pay for new countertops can go a long way toward making your home more valuable. Be sure they’re professionally installed for the most dramatic improvement.

Butcher block countertops are durable, but wood is generally susceptible to extreme heat, so you should avoid placing hot pots and pans directly on a butcher block counter. This will likely cause some aesthetic damage in the form of scorch marks. Instead, invest in some trivets and put your hot cookware on top of them.

You can occasionally use hydrogen peroxide to remove stains on concrete and granite countertops. Hydrogen peroxide is an oxidizing agent that cleans without bleaching surfaces, which is why it’s so popular as a budget-friendly cleaner. However, it’s still somewhat acidic, so you should use it sparingly on certain countertops.

Marble countertops don’t necessarily crack easily. However, they are more susceptible to damage than some other types of countertops. For example, they can develop etching from acidic liquids, such as lemon or tomato juice. Marble can also chip at the edges if you drop a heavy pan. A faux marble countertop isn’t as delicate as the real deal (depending on the material you’re painting over), but it can still get scratched if you’re not careful. Use hot pads and cutting boards to protect the countertop.
