Austin Granite Direct

We were in the stage of purchase where we delivered a sink to site (11th June) so they could make the correct cuts for a quartz countertop install. The sink was inspected on site by Amy while I was there (my wife and I had inspected it prior to delivering it as well), a 70% payment made for the countertop, and a date for install was set 13 days later. On the day of installation my wife received a call saying the sink had broken and asked what we would like to do. She stated she would call them back after speaking with me. Before we had the chance to call back we received a text message saying they were working on a solution for the sink and to stand by. They then sent an image and link to a sink of similar design and color. We clarified that it was the same color and undermount and then said that we it was fine and we appreciated them finding a solution. The countertop was installed after some unclear back and forth.We were told either around or after the expected arrival time that we would not be able to have it installed that day because they were too far behind schedule. Later that evening (after 6 if I'm not mistaken) the crew showed up to install. They did a fine job. We received an invoice for the remaining 30% of the countertops and surprisingly, also the cost of the replacement sink. Which would mean that we paid for our own sink that they broke AND the replacement sink that they delivered. A text said that we should work on getting a refund for our original sink...the issue being that the sink does not have proper grounds for a refund because it was not broken upon arrival. We paid the remaining amount for the countertops which is what we had originally agreed to. We are now getting phone calls, texts, and emails from Michelle saying it was not inspected that day (11th June) despite me checking the sink and watching Amy inspect it on site. Austin Granite Direct had the sink in their possession for 13 more days prior to being told it became broken. It remained in their possession because the fabricators needed to have the sink for the cuts. Despite paying the best part of $6k to Austin Granite Direct (everything we originally agreed to) they want more money from me to pay for a sink they broke. Michelle also wants to add late fees for the sink. We were pleasant and patient when we were told that the sink had become broken, and again when we were told that installation couldn't happen that day, and again when the installation crew unexpectedly arrived into our evening. I can't help but feel that this is a bit of a scam to get more money from us since we didn't originally purchase a sink from them.

AGD did a great job. Luis, who did the estimate and the measurements, was punctual, professional and communicative. He and the other staff members were extremely helpful when I contacted them in a rush after firing my previous countertop installer. They did everything they could to get the measurements and installation done as quickly as possible since we had already been without counters 3 weeks by that point. The installation itself was quickly and expertly done, and the countertops are gorgeous. The seam connecting two pieces is so thin, and the pattern on the quartz matched so well, that you have to look really hard to see it. I am more than thrilled with my countertops, and I recommend AGD highly.

After searching almost every stone yard in the Austin area, we found the perfect slab of quartzite at Austin Granite Direct. Luis was excellent to work with, coming to our house a total of four times to measure for estimates and verify the final template layout prior to installation. He was very patient and supportive as we changed designs and even switched to a different slab two days before the installation. He even showed up on installation day to help place the slab and make sure everything went as planned. Cesar and his crew did a fantastic job on the installation and cleanup. Everyone we worked with at Austin Granite Direct throughout the project was friendly and professional, making for a very pleasant experience.

My experience with AGD was fantastic. I spoke with a few people there, but my primary contact was Trent. Trent was great; he was responsive and super patient answering a multitude of questions. My first in-home appointment somehow didn't get on the calendar so when I texted Trent that day to let him know he was welcome to drop by earlier than scheduled if it suited him, he was surprised. Nonetheless, he showed up about an hour later. It could have been a potentially horrible start to the working relationship, but he saved the day. Jump forward to installation day...the two installation guys were outstanding. They had such pride in the work they did. When it came time to mount the larger of the two pieces, they realized they needed help. Within about 30 mins, two additional guys showed up and they had it installed in no time. It was like watching a NASCAR pit crew; they worked so well together and moved so fast. The only hiccup was discovered a few days after installation. The faucet hole was cut too close to the sink and didn't allow enough room to mount the faucet installation plate. We found a workaround and in the end it was fine. That's the one thing I'd caution future customers...make sure you know how your faucet needs to be installed and pay attention to the placement of the hole. AGD wasn't willing to cut the cabinet and build the support frame for the apron sink which was fine because my Dad was able to do it.

I simply cannot say enough good things about my experience with AGD and the quality of their work. The crews did beautiful work and we're very professional. They had the best price too. I would hire them again without reservation.

We remodeled our kitchen and didn't hire an overall project manager to manage all of the different contractors, we did it ourselves.  Austin Granite Direct was truly a pleasure to work with.  Their customer service was excellent.  We had to reschedule the installation 3 times due to delays with the cabinets and Austin Granite Direct was extremely accommodating.  We also wanted to minimize the time between the cabinets and countertop installation and they worked hard to cut the countertop immediately after the final measurement.  Their prices were very competitive and we highly recommend them to anyone looking to install countertops.  Very professional, extremely responsive and great to work with.  We are very pleased with the results.

Austin Granite Direct was great to work with. Very reasonable in price.  Through the whole process they were excellent. They walked me through the process, showed up on time, the quality of work is excellent and they were done in 2 days.   One of the guys working on my countertops even carried in a UPS box for me.  I would hire Austin Granite Direct again.

Wonderful! Abbie who was my Austin Granite direct came out at the scheduled time and gave me an estimate. She walked me through the process and explained exactly what would happen. The following week the contractors came out to install the counter tops ( a little earlier than what I was told but that was okay). They did a great job! Arrived on time and worked efficiently.  Removed old countertops and backsplash, installed new granite countertops and tile backsplash. Looks great.  Would definitely use them again.

This process was as easy as it gets. Our salesman, Trent, was very nice and patient. It took us a few weeks to decide on what type of granite we wanted. He gave use several quotes. Once we decided it moved very quickly and the countertops are just beautiful.

His prices are very reasonable, and the installers worked long and hard to make sure the job was completed to our satisfaction.  Jose was always quick to respond when we had questions and was very accommodating working with our schedule.  The office staff is friendly and helpful.  
We would definitely use Austin Granite Direct again.

We recently had our kitchen countertops and backsplash changed out and replaced with a newer granite countertops and tile backsplash. From day 1 our experience was great. Jose came out next day after I called to give us a quote. He spent a good amount of time explaining to us how the procedure would go. He was good at answering every question we had. Once we choose our countertop, we had people come in within a week to demolish the old countertops and backsplash. The same crew installed the new countertops and sink. We had another crew who came in over the next 2 days to install the backsplash. It looks great and the prices quoted were extremely reasonable. ADG was extremely competitive and it was a great pleasure working with them! Thanks AGD.

Austin Granite Direct was the best firm we may have ever worked with in Austin TX.  Very responsive, honest and with fair pricing. The guys took extra time getting all the cuts just right on a big job, A++ rating! Kenny came out for a QC check, and final sealing - we cannot say enough good things about AGD.

Amazing --- immediate appointment and Kenny's knowledge was apparent which made the decision easy. The install was great - another group of knowledgeable employees. We are super pleased with our decision and the quality of the countertops!

Jose did what nobody else could--got the entire job out of 2 slabs!! This guy did perfect seams and installation and was very professional. The job is beautiful. He also did a fireplace surround out of a leftover piece of marble at a very reasonable price.
