"Thanks for the rating Robin- the cut out is intended to be slightly larger to allow for the cooktop to drop in there are typically two clips that clamp the cooktop from underneath to the underside and a foam barrier as well supplied by most appliance manufacturers. Both of these items need to be in place to secure your cooktop down and keep it from moving. Your appliance installer should review their instructions to see what might be missing to complete this. I would not recommend using adhesive for your cooktop in the event you need to remove it in the future it will make it very difficult. Please feel free to contact us if you have further questions."
