We recently had the pleasure of working with Alvin and Nathan on a complete overhaul of our irrigation system, and we couldn’t be more pleased with the results. From start to finish, they demonstrated outstanding professionalism, technical expertise, and a strong attention to detail. They took the time to assess our existing system thoroughly, explained their plan clearly, and were incredibly responsive to our questions throughout the process. The new system they installed is not only more efficient but also much easier to manage, saving us both time and water. Their work was neat, timely, and well-coordinated, and they made sure everything was working perfectly before wrapping up. It's rare to find a team that combines skill with such great customer service. We highly recommend Alvin and Nathan for anyone needing irrigation work—they truly went above and beyond.

WOULD GIVE 0 STARS IF I COULD. They did $1300 worth of maintenance on my 21 year old AC, the system completely gave out 2 days later, and they won't refund me a dime! The service manager said "Our hands our tied, we did the labor and used the parts already. As a home owner myself, if a tech told me they could do $1,300 worth of maintenance on a system that old, that would be a red flag for me" and I responded "EXACTLY so that's on your tech and not on me??" and he just kept saying "I'm really sorry ma'am, we can't do anything." B*******. Don't ever use them!

The short version is if you need AC repair, LOOK ELSEWHERE! My downstairs AC unit went out on a Friday night. I requested an emergency repair with ABC and included the specific diagnostic code from the AC unit indicating a blower motor failure. They contacted me early Saturday morning stating they couldn't get anyone out until Monday. I replied via email confirming the Monday appointment. Monday came and I received another email from ABC stating that they bumped me to Tuesday since I did not respond to confirm the Monday appointment. I called them to advise of the oversight and to please honor the original appointment. They told me, "We didn't receive your email until this morning". I pointed out to them that their Monday morning message had the time stamp from the email I sent them on Saturday morning. They held firm and said they were booked up and wouldn't send someone out until Tuesday. (3 days without AC in June at the time of that conversation.) It is now Tuesday and the technician just left. It was indeed a failed blower motor. They charged me $2350 to do the job. **I spoke to two other people who had failed ECM variable speed blower motors replaced very recently in similar sized units. Both of them were charged $700 for the repair...so ABC is over 3X the market rate!!** In fairness, the technician was friendly and capable. He did the job and our A/C is now working hence the two stars instead of one. I will not use ABC for any services again and would advise friends, neighbors, and anyone reading this to seek help elsewhere. In sharing my experience with a colleague earlier today, he said he never uses them because of their incredibly high prices. So I don't think I'm alone on this one.

My husband and I are blown away by the kindness and generosity of ABC staff Anna and Raoul as well as several others. We had a blowout on 290 and managed to get to their parking lot. I went inside to get an address for our road service and the staff went to work removing the tire, offering us a spare, and when her spare didn’t fit , Anna allowed us to use her personal car to get to Discount Tires to buy a spare. Just in case you were wondering if there are good people still out there, we found them. We live in Dallas area but I can assure you if we lived in Austin, we would be using this company.

We have a 25-year-old built-in oven. Repairman diagnosed problem (blown control panel) and knew of a place in town (Fix Your Board) that could reconstruct the board. ABC then came back out to reinstall. Great solution for an oven where parts are no longer available and dimensions to fit in wall aren’t standard. Happy to save landfill space as well. Only complaint is that the service windows are not realistic (8 am to 6 pm). They also called to say someone was 30 minutes out and it took nearly 1.5 hours. So be prepared to waste a day waiting.

Called ABC for help as we had either an exterior GFCI plug that had died or a tankless water heater problem tripping the GFCI plug or both. Naturally it happened on a weekend! ABC dispatched the next available on-call plumber to evaluate the problem. The plumber determined that the tankless WH was fine and could not get the GFCI to respond. So an extension cord to another outlet kept the WH going until the electrician was available. When the electrician arrived on Monday morning, the GFCI tested as dead while the power to it was good. So a new GFCI was installed and we were back on line with our tankless WH.

ABC performed quarterly termite inspections at my residence for over a decade -- then they suddenly lost interest. Out of the last five quarters inspections were scheduled, they only came once. I called them each time a few weeks after the scheduled date had passed to remind them an inspection was supposed to have been performed. Each time ABC agreed no inspector had come but never offered any reason why I had been skipped. I always paid for a full year in advance and billings were automatically charged to my credit card, so payment was never an issue. ABC did phone me when I let them know I was terminating service. I explained my reason and said I would welcome an explanation of why they were no longer interested in my business. No one ever contacted me. I then wrote a letter asking why, after being a loyal customer for over a decade, they had suddenly stopped performing reliable inspections. They never responded. One of the downsides to so many new people moving into central TX daily is that companies like ABC know they do not need to value long term customers. If any customer leaves them, they can easily find others. Bobby Jenkins is still the public face of ABC for advertising purposes. It was a great company when Bobby was in charge. But he is now involved in other endeavors and does not exercise day to day oversight. His absence shows.

Per your conversation with our CSR Manager on the phone after you posted this, you acknowledged receiving all five services. Not only did you receive all five services, you received written notification via email, after each one of them. While speaking to someone via telephone can sometimes be challenging and calls can be missed, the assertion that we were not calling and not performing the inspections is not accurate. ABC is committed to delivering quality customer service and long-term customers continue to be of extreme importance."

Outstanding! I needed to have an old system replace and then a second unit reconfigured, then insulation added. Electrical work needed to be updated. The sales representative Mark Hogan provided excellent customer service he was professional, courteous, and punctional. Everything was explained in great detail. The install team of Luis and Roman were equally professional and would answer and explain in detail. They were both very professional and courteous. Each day they tidy up and leave my home clean. They took great care and treated my home with respect. After all the heavy lifting was finish Doug came in to see to all the detailed finishing touches. Doug is an expert!! I can not say enough of how well the job was done, from the initial sale to the final walk through with Austin Energy. The final outcome on my electric bill has already dropped significantly.

I initially called my plumber but he and the reference he gave me were both booked into the following week. Since I had used ABC Home & Commercial Services in the past with good results, I called and their service tech arrived in hours. He determined the only real solution was to replace the unit, and I agreed. He was able to schedule installation the following day, and I opted for the higher quality unit. The work was performed efficiently and professionally the following day and all is well. I’m very pleased with the professional service, and would use them again.
