Customers say: Quick response

"Fernando was happy to work with me via text, no phones calls beyond the initial contact were required. We closed in our garage, had another provider handle the framing and exterior siding, while Drywall EXT installed sheet rock. This is not hyperbole, the new wall is the flattest surface in my house. Fernando did an absolutely amazing job making this come together. Price was fair, quality of work is outstanding, and he’s just really pleasant person to work with. I plan on contacting him in the near future to patch/repair/refinish a few more walls around the house."

"Jess was a true professional who worked with attention to detail. We had a rather large job and I found him to be exceptionally personable. Very polite and always informed us of things he wanted us to know once the damage was fully revealed. Despite having a house completely torn apart from much damage from the recent storm that left 7 rooms affected he moved through the house with ease despite clutter, boxes and furniture that we tried to move out of the way. It was a pleasure to have him working in our home. He did extra things to mitigate damage we discovered from a mouse infestation suffered several years ago. I could not have been more pleased with his work. Price was reasonable. At end of project, he cleaned the site of debris and ensured we were satisfied with his work. I give him my highest recommendation for his attention to detail and the quality of his work. You will not go wrong by hiring him to do any drywall project, large or small. I will be calling him to do smaller projects in the future."

Customers say: Quality work

"I have a very large yard with a good degree of level. The Bustamantes were very careful to measure and level the fence line so that it has a very nice curb appeal. They've also done good work inside my house with drywall repair and paint. I would recommend them highly!"

Drywall questions, answered by experts

The easiest way to cut holes in drywall for electrical boxes is to use a spiral saw with a drywall router bit. Hang the drywall without cutting out a hole for the box, but make sure you measure and mark where the box is located on the wall. Once you screw in the drywall sheet, drill a small hole into the box void, insert the spiral saw bit, and move it around the edge of the box using the inside wall as a guide. You can also use an oscillating multi-tool with an electrical box cutout for fast, professional results.

Wall anchors are suitable for drywall and plaster walls, which are common in most homes. However, different wall materials may require specialized anchors. For concrete or masonry walls, you'd typically use concrete anchors. When dealing with other wall types, such as brick or tile, specific anchors designed for those materials may be necessary. Always consult with a hardware specialist or check the manufacturer's recommendations to ensure you select the appropriate anchors for your specific wall type.

Mudding drywall is a DIY-friendly project, but patience and practice are required for perfection. If you’re working in a highly visible area and want the best possible finish, hiring a professional drywaller is worth the cost. Pros have the tools and know-how to ensure a smooth surface with fewer sanding sessions and less cleanup.

Regular inspections, repainting, and avoiding moisture exposure help maintain integrity.

To hide drywall edges, you need to properly apply drywall tape and multiple layers of joint compound. These materials hide the seams between drywall sheets and fill the holes from drywall screws, leaving behind a smooth, flat finish to paint over. Apply joint compound smoothly, and finish the job by sanding the walls to make sure you fully hide drywall edges and other imperfections.
